Editor's Overview

The 2014 Toyota RAV4 remains true to the size and spirit of the last two generations, but makes improvements over older RAV4s, specifically in design, fuel economy and order simplification. The 2014 RAV4 offers an upscale interior, cutting-edge audio and infotainment options and an efficient use of space. It also provides a reasonable sticker price and good resale numbers.

2014 Toyota rav4 has a beautiful sleek design.

Absolutely love Toyota. I have owned 3 Camrys & 3 rav4's. My 2nd rav4 was my favorite. I owned it 13 years & it had 160, 000 miles on it when I sold it. The maintenance was minimal on it. Toyota really holds its value. I liked it better than my 2014 rav4 because it was smaller & visibility better. I like the sleek design of my 2014 but visibility is not as good. I love the color of my 2014. It is a dark gray. There is a rubber strip on the top on both sides. There is a luggage carrier & a sunroof. On the drivers side the rubber strip constantly falls off. I had the dealer install it several times but it never stays on. Usually when I go through the carwash it flies off.

It is right for me. Small, girly, reliable, sweet like a cherry.

My car is great, it gets me where I need to go and I am very satisfied with its performance. Don't get me wrong, I know absolutely nothing about cars so I cannot go into too much detail. For a young woman like myself who is in college and is beginning to develop a dream and is aiming for a career, this is a car I can rely on. It gets me from point A to point B. It is a comfortable size. I would describe it as "precious" meaning it is not too junky and does not resemble a man's car. I feel good driving it, I feel safe. While it may not be a dream car, it certainly should cover me for the time it takes to accumulate money for my dream car.

Toyota RAV4 limited-- perfect little SUV for reliability.

I love the look and style of the 2014 RAV4. I have the limited. I love the leather, the heated seats, and the touch screen navigation/Audio features. It also very easily connects to Bluetooth. The gas mileage is decent for a small SUV. I do not like the automatic rear trunk door because it takes a long time to lift. I feel like it is a smooth ride, however it does not speed up quickly. It has little to no pick up speed. Merging onto the highways especially in condensed areas and cities can be difficult because you have to floor it to get quick acceleration. It is really good in snow and I am very happy with the 4 wheel drive & traction.

If the system incorrectly detects an electrical short and turns off the trailer lights while the trailer is being towed at night, there is an increased risk of a crash.
Remedy:
SET will notify owners, and dealers will replace the trailer light module with a new unit with corrected software, free of charge. The recall began on March 17, 2015. Owners may contact SET customer service at 1-866-405-4226. SET's number for this recall is SET-15A.
