Will never buy anything besides a Toyota again!
My 2014 rav 4 has been the best vehicle, I do not see myself every buying anything else. I love all the features the vehicle has. It has a sport and eco mode, usually I leave the eco mode to help save on gas money. The radio and touch screen are great it has hidden compartments for when I am going somewhere and need to hide valuable items. It is great if you have pets easy to clean and spacious. I have 3 large dogs and all of them fit well. I feel safe driving because of the size. The only thing I have issues with are the seats, after a long trip they hurt my back and get slightly uncomfortable. Everything else is great! I could not be more pleased!

I love Toyota cars and trucks.
I have always loved Toyota cars. This is my second one. The performance is amazing and it cannot be touched when it comes to quality. The features are fun and comfortable and it is the most reliable car I have ever known. My first Toyota had almost 300, 000 miles. I drove it everywhere including across country and she performed well. Toyota will always be my go-to car.

How much gas is used and how you can save it.
I like that is a 4 cylinder. It's not too big but perfect for me and my 3 kids. Plenty of trunk space. No complaints.

It is high quality very roomy and smooth driving.
It bet economical and driving is fun. I like the sporty feeling but also like the ability to haul gear in the back when traveling.

Always end up going back to Toyota.
I love the size of the rave, fits everything yet easy to park. I feel secure and high up, it's such a pleasure to drive too! The pick up is okay, do not think sports car. I have driven in snow, ice and rain all without problems.

This gal loves her Toyota rav4.
I am definitely a Toyota girl. No plans on ever owning another make of car. I bought the rav4 this time because I wanted something with more room. I like to take my dog places with me, so it works out well that she can ride in the hatchback. Next time, I might consider a rav4 hybrid. There’s nothing not to like about them.

Toyota rav4 will not let you down.
I just hit 90,000 miles with my car. Family maintenance is performed is routine. I have had no issues and it drives like a dream. I have had it for 6 years and every time I see it I still think look at my beautiful car. I love this car so much. You cannot go wrong!

A moving vehicle of dents and cracks.
This car damages too easily. I park on the street overnight and in parking lots when I am shopping, which is mainly what this car is used for. The slightest bump or scrape against it by another car and very deep dents result or bumpers pulled off. It holds very little more than my Toyota Corolla did. There are too many small shelves or cubby holes that are too small to be useful so they serve no purpose. Horrible gas mileage. I can get 28 miles per gallon if the SUV is completely empty and I am driving on the highway. Otherwise I average 23 miles per gallon which I find obscene in these days of climate challenge. I cannot even sell it or trade it in because the damage that has been done to my car cosmetically lowers its value tremendously and the cosmetics cost too much to repair. Very sorry I ever sold my Corolla for this car.

Shocked at Problems outlined by Dealer
We bought this 2014 RAV4 new from Dyer Toyota in Columbia, SC. Have maintained it per maintenance recommendations without fail and Dealership handled all oil changes/maintenance with exception of 3 times. Took in for an Oil Change at 60,000 (they had just done 55,000 mile change) and got a call from Dealership that there were significant problems. First, the Service Advisor said the radiator was cracked but when challenged on why there wasn't any fluids leaking on our garage floor he backed up and said it was actually the water pump.Even though brakes were at 5mm at 55,000 miles they were now somehow between 1mm and 2 mm. Then the kicker - the timing chain cover seal was leaking to the tune of a $1,700 repair. After pointing out that both the water pump and timing chain seal were engine components and should be covered under the lifetime warranty they started the smoke screen. First Advisor said timing chain seal was not covered although my warranty paperwork clearly read seals and gaskets were covered. Then they started saying tire rotations hadn't been maintained every 5,000 miles to which i responded as to how that would affect these engine components. Needless to say but I am done with Toyota and Dyer Toyota in Columbia, SC.I firmly believe they were trying to take advantage of my wife and the lifetime warranty is evidently just a ruse to make buyers feel better. I have bought 4 Toyota's over last 12 years and this will be the last. Oh, by the way my 58 yr old wife is a day care teacher at local Baptist Church and puts maybe 10,000 miles a year of her car. Drives it like a little ole lady so no doubt that these type repairs were either an attempt to lighten my wallet or this vehicle had latent problems. You just don't go from an outstanding 55,000 mile inspection to having "urgent" repairs of approx $3,000+. To say I'm very agitated with Toyota and their Lifetime Warranty and the crappy service at Dyer Toyota would be an understatement.

Toyota rav4: drives poorly.
The transmission rubber bands, will suddenly downshift while accelerating. Tapping noise when air is on. Air conditioning has always smelled.

Great middle of the road mid-size SUV.
Definitely reliable vehicle. Gas mileage can be great for highway miles, but city miles affect it tremendously. Fits 4 grown adults comfortably, but can add a 5th person with no problem. Lots of room to store items in the back. This vehicle just is not for me. The technology needs to be updated to suit me.

A dent a day. . . Car will never look new again after it leaves the lot.
I park on the street. Any time another car even touches my car there is a dent, scratch. I had one person scrape by my left front bumper and the front bumper is now pulled out from where it should be. I have never had a car with so many scrapes, dents, cracks in the actual fiber glass of the body. Inside is equally awful. Everything is plastic which means after a few years of wear parts break but to fix them it requires that the dashboard be taken out or seats removed which is too expensive as they'll be another damage tomorrow. Gas mileage is horrendous. Antennae easily stolen. Too many empty spaces that are just not deep enough to put anything inside them. Horribly designed.
accountCircle Lora L
No shelf life to the rav4.
For a fairly new vehicle it looks really old and broke down. I am missing a hubcap, which makes it look really junkie. It was just missing one day and too hard to get ahold of another one. The right side view mirror has just snapped off and looks really bad. The body of this car is not really made well. Also the brakes needs replacing, those went down really fast. No shelf life to this car.

Car that will last a lifetime.
The rav4 is average when it comes to the interior. Cheap and does not hold up the best. Not fancy in anyway. Bluetooth has issues often with connectivity. Maintenance is affordable though. Good on gas. Does have a small gas tank and is a 4 cylinder. Has decent pick up considering.

Safe, reliable, good gas mileage (average about 27 mpg)
I like that it gets decent gas mileage, it feels safe, Have driven it on several road trips and not had any problems. I dislike the lack of storage compartments inside the car, wish it was a bit larger

Cost wise it is been a very good value.
The maintenance on the car has been tremendous. We have change the oil and inspected it. We have put brakes on it and that is the only major thing that we've had to do to it. I would recommend this car to anyone. It has 47,000 miles on it and we have not replaced the tires yet that would be the next big item.

Very reliable car, haven't had any engine/transmission (mechanical) issues. The only issues are squeaky brakes that seem to come back even after being fixed and the stereo system broke 4 years into owning the car so that was not covered by warranty and would have cost about $1200 to get fixed.

Very easy to drive and back up camera makes parking a breeze. Sits high making me feel safer on the road. Lots of space for all passengers, amble leg room, ample storage space. My car has great gas mileage! It seats 5 comfortably, with cloth seats. It has Bluetooth for music and phone. It can store your contacts as well as music. It has 3 ports for charging. Leg room needs improvement.
The back seats could be a bit more comfortable they seem to be a bit flimsy and cheap looking. There is not enough leg space in the back and since the seats are collapsible they could have been placed further back. There is no arm support for the driver right side which is a negative for me. I really like the built in "shelf" on the passenger side it is very convenient for phones or wallets.

Who wouldn't want a corolla as a first car they are the very best thing!
The corolla is such a gas saver especially if you plan a lot of road trips. It is such a reliable car for when you need to go to work. The car is comfortable and it has enough space for a family of four. We've never had problems with it so there’s really nothing I can complain about on this car. We’ve had for more than a decade and we still enjoy this car for road trips. It is a good first car for a teenager because you know how blind spots can affect how we drive.

It is been a very reliable vehicle. I have taken it on road trips all over the country and even down to Mexico. I wish it had a little more power under the hood, but at the same time that is probably why it gets such great gas mileage. There’s plenty of space in the backseat and in the front. I take it skiing at times and wish I had gone with the all wheel drive version. It still handles well in the snow though.

One thing I do not like is that there's no way to open the trunk by the remote. It has to be done manually and it is heavy. I have a sunroof but I really have never used it.

The gas pedal had a long lag time and the seats can be hard.
There are no problems besides the lag time from when you put down the gas pedal and the car jolts into motion. If you are wanting the car to go fast quickly, it will not do so. It needs a couple of seconds to actually kick in. Beyond that I find no other issues with the car or how it functions. The seats can be a bit hard though.

The rav4 is a great family car with many features.
At nearly 80k miles, my rav4 has never had any issues. It is great in the snow and off road (beach driving). It has great power when in sports mode. The back seats fold down, so we have been able to pick up furniture etc. This is the first car I have owned with a rear camera, a feature I find very helpful living in the city.

Good gas mileage. Easy to drive.
The only real complaint is that it is a little small for my taste. If I were to repurchase I might go a size larger.

It is great for driving in the snow.
I bought my RAV4 used with approx. 20, 000 miles on it. We've had it approx. 2 years. I like the size and handling of the car. It is small enough to park easily but big enough for the family. The 4WD makes driving in the snow and ice easy.

Reliable with a few minor flaws!
The vehicle is great and reliable! I bought this car used and have used it for six years and only had a few problems. The air conditioner has held up in extreme heat. The breaks have only been replaced once. The tires have only been replaced once. I did have to get the entire engine replaced because the overheated but I still love the car.

Toyota: always ready to hit the road and get you where you need to go.
I really enjoy my vehicle because it is reliable, comfortable and it drives very smoothly. I really liked the style, shape and color when that particular style came out. I have always loved Toyotas because they're exceptionally reliable, especially if you keep up with the maintenance.

Reliable, amazing, I just love my car.
It is never failed me, very comfortable. I completely love it. Quite. I have had my car for more than two years and never have had any issues. I love the light up feature of the tire pressure monitor. It is has saved me from a flat tire. My car has been very reliable.

Why a rav 4 is perfect for a country girl!
Handles great in the snow. I am short so I love being higher, off the road. Comfortable. Decent on gas. Room enough for my family's needs. Sharp looking and good technology for the price. Wish the Bluetooth speaker volume was better. Wish GPS was included in the package. Drink holders are perfect size for all beverages.
