Love my Sequoia Platinum!
Love my vehicle! It's spacious but not too big. Has a dvd player that my children love and definitely helps on long trips! Runs great and is definitely a vehicle I would buy again.

Toyota sequoia a great and reliable choice.
The only real drawback to the Toyota sequoia for me is the gas mileage and lack of storage room. I do feel as if I am always filling the gas tank. I would also be beneficial to have a larger gas tank as well. A typical fill up consists of 21-22 gallons. This is the second sequoia I have owned and live the looks, the drive, ability to drive in all road conditions, and the reliability.

Toyota sequoia is a reliable vehicles.
Very dependable. No major issues in 7 years. It is very roomy and perfect for hauling groceries, extra kids or almost anything. It is especially comfortable on long trips. We have taken it on trips over twelve hours many times. All I do for upkeep is change oil and rotate tires.

It is a big SUV that is considered a truck body style and acceleration with v8.
The 2012 Toyota sequoia is big, impressive and hard to ignore. What's really surprising, however, is just how refined this full-size truck-based SUV can be. Inside, the sequoia offers a huge, well-equipped cabin with comfortable seating for eight passengers (or seven with the available second-row captain's chairs). Equally noteworthy is the sequoia ride quality, which, thanks to its independent rear suspension, is markedly better than a number of other big SUVs. This is especially true of the sequoia's top-of-the-line platinum models fitted with the three-mode 'adaptive' suspension. The sequoia has the hard-working angle covered, too, with an available 381-horsepower 5.7-liter v8 engine that delivers strong acceleration and a 7,400-pound towing capacity. An available four-wheel-drive system with a low-range transfer case and a healthy 10 inches of ground clearance also makes this beast reasonably capable off-road. An enormous cargo bay with second- and third-row seats that fold to create a flat load floor adds yet more practicality. The 2012 Toyota sequoia is offered with one of two v8 engines. Both are paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and standard rear-wheel drive. The optional four-wheel drive features a two-speed transfer case with electronic shifting and push-button locking. A ticking noise may develop from the engine due to a cracked exhaust manifold. Damaged exhaust manifolds will require replacement to correct this issue.

It is very sleek and a good car for someone looking for a truck but who also needs to seat more people.
My vehicle is a very good vehicle. It is large enough to fit all friends and family. It is also fuel efficient

Navigation system to get you where you need to be with comfort.
I have no problems with my vehicle. . It is very roomy and great for a family of 6 or more. . It is great when taking long trips. . It is not the best when it comes to gas mileage, but it is worth the cost of it. . Also great because it has a navigation system.

A great SUV that will keep you happy for a long time.
No problems thus far. Love the vehicle and it is performance. It has good pickup. It drives pretty smooth. Great suspension. Trunk space leaves a bit to be desired but we've packed for vacation in it and it works for us. I would recommend a roof storage bin.

Reliability and safety! No problems whatsoever with engine or electrical!
Toyota vehicles are great! This specific one requires the usual maintenance, and that's about it! My husband takes it for oil change and filter change when needed, and we buy new tires when we need to, and that's it! No problems, mechanical or electrical! Very reliable and we enjoy it very much!

One of my favorite details is the back window rolls down.
I marked wrong answer. I love my sequoia. I do not like the large size. Hard to drive and park. I also have alignment issues. I can fit three paddle boards and three people at same time. Lots of legroom on all three rows of seats. Verisafe. Great in snow! And bad weather.

2012 Sequoia problems
I love my vehicle but my problem is with this issue that Toyota fails to want to cover, the 4lo light, engine light and trac off light come on and it is a air injection issue that continues to happen and nothing is covered so you pay a great amount of money to fix it. This is an issue with the Tundra as well and Toyota still doesnt cover anything when it clearly is a problem with the manufacturing of these vehicles.

That it runs well and is a good road trip vehicle.
Like- fits my whole family plus all our fear, roomy third seat, easy to drive, looks good.... Dislike- high gas prices to fill tank.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Sar B.

We love the size of the vehicle, it is towing ability, the amount of seating, the versatility of the backspace (being able to put seats down). If we were looking to buy another car we would definitely love to get another Sequoia.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Sar B.

Sometimes the size of the vehicle is also a downfall when trying to park in a tiny space. It is tough for our parents to get in and out of and really our short friends as well because of how high the vehicle sits.
