2012 Volkswagen CC Overview, Reviews, Ratings & Specs

I've had nothing but problems from this car. My tire sensor went out the day after my warranty expired. It's currently in the shop with 30 fault codes. I will never buy a VW again. They can only be repaired in specific places. My radio and GPS went out a year ago. I'm having to replace the battery every six weeks.

I've had my VW CC 2.0T 2012 for a year now and since the second day of owning my beautiful car, I've had MANY issues with it. It has malfunction problems until this day. The air bags broke within a week of having it as well as the fuse and air conditioner. I've had problems with the hoses and engine and windshield wipers along with the part that sprays the window cleaner on the front window. Almost everything in my car was messed up and I spent more money fixing it than buying it. I have problems with this car still to this day. As much as I love my car I WOULD NOT recommend owning this car, to anyone. If you don't have a well paying job don't own this car I promise you will used every paycheck trying to fix it. Like I said I love my car but honestly ive been saving for a better one since ike the second month of having my VW CC 2.0T 2012. I'm not sure if ALL VW cars have this many problems. If they do the engineers need to think harder on perfecting such a beautiful car. -Roni

They had been many problems with the engine including the camshaft, water pump, my oil. It costs an arm and a leg to fix it. My car was reliable until in the past year had engine problems and was going to cost more than my car to fix it. My car is comfortable for driving long distances.

November 2019 my timing chain stretched. It was a problem with how they made all them cars so VW had to fix it! I do not like it because to fix anything cost a lot of money BC they have to take the whole front end off just to fix it. The lights always come out all over the car. It looks nice but I wouldn't recommend.

There are so many problems with recalls and my car just stopping and not starting whenever it feels like it. It's expensive to fix it and it's not guaranteed it'll be fixed 100%. It looks amazing but for the most part it's a fragile and frustrating vehicle.

Try to get rid of it as fast as you can. I didn’t realize that I would be putting money into this pit of a car constantly. With some of the cheap plastic connectors on hoses popping off to the multipel oil leaks. There’s also the problem of carbon build up that has no fix and will cost you over 400$ whenever the car feels like it. It’s great all around but has zero reliability. You also have to put in 91 octane or above which can be annoying when the car still builds up carbon like a smoker. Please get a Audi or BMW or maybe even a Ford. Honestly I think Ford might even be more reliable at this point.

Vehicle has had a lot of issues. Had to replace transmission. Timing chain issue. Lots of other small issues. Oil leaks. New starter needed. Does not drive smooth. I wouldn't recommend this car. They say after 100,000 miles Volkswagens tend to have a lot of problems.

It is a terrible car too many issues. I have only had it a year and I have a bad oil leak, coolant leak, along with many other issues. It is a nice sleek looking car but internally it is unreliable. It has many features like Bluetooth, heated seats, and a back up camera.
