Editor's Overview

If striking visual design is more important to you than utility, the 5-passenger 2013 Volkswagen CC deserves a place on your radar. Along with nifty handling, an optional dual-clutch automatic gearbox, and an upscale cabin, the CC is touted as the most affordable "4-door coupe" available.

I drive a 2013 VW cc 2. 0t sport. Is it grey or blue? It looks both at times.

Gas guzzling, requires premium fuel, it is reliable, but quirky. Expensive for repairs, but a perk is you only have to change the oil every 10k miles. It is comfy, has heated seats, and leather upholstery. It is fast because it is 2. 0 t, and I have great led headlights. I wish I had a back-up camera and a sun roof.

- Jessica M

It is luxurious, but has been discontinued by VW and if it has probably over 60,000 miles on it, expect for the issues described previously to arise.

I like my vehicle a lot, it is brown and looks luxurious. It has nice two-toned leather seats and is a 2.0T. However, it has had quite a few issues, the fuel pump and control module, but they have been completely replaced. Also, it's airbags had a recall, but that was for most VW vehicles.

- Brooke S

This car provides a smooth driving experience and has great gas mileage.

I love the design of my vehicle, both It's interior and exterior. The only characteristic that I dislike is that the amount of miles on the car, over 65000, there have been issues with the control module. However, the car also gets great gas mileage.

Safety Recalls (5)

Unknown Or Other May 16, 2018
Report Receipt Date:
May 16, 2018
NHTSA Campaign:
18V329000
Summary:
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2012-2016 Eos, 2012 Passat, 2012-2016 CC, 2015 e-Golf, 2011-2015 Touareg, 2012-2015 Tiguan, and 2011-2016 Golf and 2011-2013 GTI vehicles. Modifications made while the vehicles were in an internal evaluation period may cause the affected vehicles to not comply with all of the applicable regulatory requirements.
Consequence:
If the vehicles do not meet all regulatory requirements, there could be an increased risk of a crash, fire, or injury.
Remedy:
Volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will repair the vehicles to make them fully compliant or Volkswagen will repurchase them if necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin July 13, 2018. Owners may contact Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-893-5298.
Air Bags Feb 10, 2016
Report Receipt Date:
Feb 10, 2016
NHTSA Campaign:
16V078000
Summary:
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain model year 2010-2014 Golf and Jetta SportWagen, 2007-2010 Passat sedans and wagon, 2012-2014 Passat sedan and Eos, 2009-2014 CC, 2009-2012 Audi Q5, and 2010-2011 Audi A5 Cabriolet vehicles. Upon deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, excessive internal pressure may cause the inflator to rupture.
Consequence:
In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, the inflator could rupture with metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants potentially resulting in serious injury or death.
Remedy:
Volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver's frontal air bag inflators, free of charge. Volkswagen issued an interim notification to owners on April 12, 2016. Volkswagen owners may contact Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-893-5298. Audi owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834.
Air Bags Aug 4, 2015
Report Receipt Date:
Aug 4, 2015
NHTSA Campaign:
15V483000
Summary:
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain model year 2010-2014 Volkswagen CC, Passat, and Tiguan, 2010-2013 Eos and Jetta, 2011-2014 Golf and GTI, and 2011-2013 Jetta Sportwagen vehicles. In the affected vehicles, debris may contaminate the air bag clock spring, a spiral wound, flat cable that keeps the air bag powered while the steering wheel is being turned. This contamination may tear the cable and result in a loss of electrical connection to the driver's frontal air bag.
Consequence:
A loss of electrical connection to the driver's frontal air bag will prevent the air bag from deploying in the event of a vehicle crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy:
The remedy for this recall is still under development. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-822-8987.
Air Bags Mar 6, 2018
Report Receipt Date:
Mar 6, 2018
NHTSA Campaign:
18V148000
Summary:
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2009-2014 Volkswagen CC, 2010-2014 Golf, 2010-2011 Eos, 2007-2010 Passat Sedan, and 2007-2010 Passat Wagon vehicles. Upon deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, excessive internal pressure may cause the inflator to explode.
Consequence:
In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, the inflator could explode with metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants potentially resulting in serious injury or death.
Remedy:
Volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will replace the driver's frontal air bag inflator with an alternative inflator, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin March 15, 2018. Owners may contact Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-893-5298. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 69Q9. Note: This recall partially supersedes recall 16V-078.
Fuel System, Gasoline Aug 16, 2017
Report Receipt Date:
Aug 16, 2017
NHTSA Campaign:
17V509000
Summary:
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2009-2016 Volkswagen CC, 2006-2010 Passat and Passat Wagon vehicles. Interruption of electrical power to the fuel pump control module may cause the fuel pump to fail.
Consequence:
If the fuel pump fails, the engine will stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy:
Volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump control module, free of charge. Remedy parts are currently unavailable. Interim notices informing owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed on October 13, 2017. Owners will receive a second notice when remedy parts become available. Owners may contact Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-893-5298. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 20AE.
