This is a safe and comfortable car for moms with kids.
The car drives very smoothly and is easy to maintain. As a woman I do not have to worry about it breaking down even though we got it as second hand car. I love the rear view camera and comfortable seating. It is very spacious and fits my whole family of 5.

Amazing speed. Smooth. Powerful.
I am a big fan of BMW ever since I was a little kid. I yearn to drive in that luxury car and watch as people’s eyes widen at what I drive. Great control and the speed is just superb. It offers a lot of what you expect for a $100, 000 car. Comfort, smooth ride. Cannot really feel the bumps at all.

A must have for in the go parents and it is diesel with excellent gas mileage!
I absolutely love my car. It is extremely reliable, and I super quick! I have the sports package and that comes with bucket seats and these are a must have! It comes with heated seats, heated steering wheel, full navigation, reverse camera, and front/back sensors. It is an absolute must have for people with kids. It has a very roomy back seat and a huge “trunk”, for sports gear, groceries, or whatever you need. The back seats also fold down for even more room if you needed to carry anything large. Also, it also has a mini tailgate!

Avoid BMW is you love your money.
Replacing parts on the vehicle is quite expensive for a vehicle that loses more than half its value in resale. I bought it for 18k and its a 60k car... Also only had 70k miles on it. I love the premise of the car but I have had to fix the air bag suspension once already and that was 1800 dollars. A year later the suspension is acting up again. Smh.

Comfortable and reliable.
It has no current problems. It's very reliable on gas, I use the most expensive gas but drive 450mls! And very comfortable to drive. It has a lot of safety features. The only negative thing that I could say about this cry is that it's very expensive to fix problems.

Fun to drive, share to look at, expensive to maintain.
When shopping for my x5 35d, I knew I wanted something larger than crossover SUV and smaller than a full size SUV. The x5 has a pop-up 3rd row allowing for more passengers but is smaller than an escalade or Tahoe. I chose the v6 turbo diesel trim package because of the better gas mileage and higher towing capacity. Upon test driving, I loved how it drove. I also drove a comparable Mercedes and the x5 had a much tighter suspension and more sporty feel. With 110k miles I am still happy with the look and feel of the vehicle. However, I have experienced 2 significant drawbacks. Maintenance is extremely expensive; regular maintenance as well as repairs. I have experienced multiple issues with the diesel exhaust system that are not covered under warranty. Additionally, the vehicle has not held its value as I anticipated. One reason, I have been told, is the amount of recalls on the car.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Aida L.

I believe the pros of the vehicle are the high quality look and feel of the interior. Technology that it offers inside the vehicle as well is great; it seems unmatched. Not to mention the smooth drive of the vehicle.

likeFilled Ioana P.

Overall it is good car, I can rely on it for long distances, it has beautiful design, it accelerates from 0-60 mph in 0.4 seconds, it has plenty of cabin space, great ride quality, high safety standards.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Aida L.

The cons of having a BMW are the running cost. The repair cost is so much more expensive than any other vehicle. BMW has lots of electronics and it does not last long. Therefore proper maintenance cost a lot. Plus it is a gas guzzler.

dislikeFilled Ioana P.

It has electronics issues, computer issues - idrive display, blower fan motor, cooling system failure, srs light coming on and restraint system failure, interior wear, instrument cluster problems, interior noises.
