The good the bad and the ugly of my 2004 avalanche.
I really love my truck and being up higher and being able to see better. Being able to haul things when needed that you can't in a car. It has had several recalls the first few years after I purchased that was a problem.. A bad seatbelt in the backseat that I had to get fixed. Just replaced wheel bearings in front left. It had air conditioner problems that seems to stem from a design problem..Had to have that fixed several times.. Another time it was another air conditioner problem.

It's 14 years old and still going strong! It's built really well. It has rusted out in a few spots and some of the rust has been repaired already.
It rides really well... Like a nice car. It has a lot of room in the back seat, very spacious. It's a big vehicle so I feel safe.

Very secure when driving and comfortable
I like it because It's very spacious and nice driving. Spends a lot of gas
accountCircle Harvey j
It is six passenger vehicle and 4 wheel vehicle to get through rough roads .
My vehicle was stopped making by chav in 2013. It like because I carry my luggage in the truck bed. It is 4 wheel drive that I can use on my property east Texas and haul feed for my livestock.
accountCircle Heidi M
You can extend the length of the truck bed!
It rusts underneath very easily but I never really had any other issues with it. I love these trucks and will be buying another one! Never had issues with the motor but did replace it with a motor I wanted specifically. Still runs like a beast! I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone.

Chevy avalanche greatness.
Very comfortable and reliable. The maintenance is kept up well so it stays in great running condition. It is perfect for all of my traveling needs and getting me to and from the places I need to be. Not to bad on gas. Easy to handle and drive. Very comforting to my back, which is a plus.

The Avalanche is a great pickup that looks great while working hard.
I love the way it looks. I love the fact that I can haul things for myself and my family. I love having a 4 wheel drive in Wisconsin.

It is an all around good truck to drive.
I love my avalanche. It drives well. It has a lot of space, and the back is roomy, where you can load a lot of things. Over all it is a very nice, will driven vehicle. It travels well and have awesome gas mileage. I recommend this vehicle to anyone. It drives with comfort.

The heat gets really hot and the air conditioning is super cold.
I don't like how big it is, the window on the passenger side doesn't roll down. The locks don't work. The heather makes a weird noise. There is a slight chug when you're not driving. The cigarette lighters do not work and the speakers are also not working
accountCircle Ryan H
It is not a truck that will stand the test of time.
It's very difficult to see out the back. Requires frequent repairs. Is not very safe, according to crash stats. Also, mine smells funny.
accountCircle Sabrina M
A truck that looks like an SUV that has the back cut off.
Oil gadget is broken, tailgate handle broke, air conditioning doesn't work, has front end problems, has a lifter tick, the bed is to small, back seat is too small, electrical is messed up the electric adjustable seats don't work and neither do the heated seats.
accountCircle Steve H
Chevy did not build the Avalanche to withstand the test of time.
The dashboard display has ceased to show reliable information, including fuel gauge and speedometer. Replacement would require days of non-use. Rust everywhere. Electrical problems including seat heating persist. The motors operating the windows are unreliable. The sun roof has problems as well. I have had to replace tailgate mechanism at least four times. Truck was not built well.

The blower fan is likely to go out.
I like how its is not to high from the grown. The amount of room inside is nice. However the constant repairs is annoying.
accountCircle Melissa B
I like that it is roomy. I hate that its so old because its a hassle to fix every time something goes wrong. I love the fact that it is reliable. I hate the color of it i wish we would have gotten a different vehicle. It is worth the price we paid.
It is great for road trips whether they are hwy or off road. Just be prepared to pay a lot in gas.
accountCircle Rachel B
It has no a/c that works whatsoever.
It is "theoretically" amazing in concept. However it has had serious issues.
accountCircle Gina R
Good on gas and reliable truck to have
I love my avalanche. It is sturdy we take it out to the woods and go off road with it. The only thing I don't like is that the tailgate handle broke. So we replaced it and it works when it wants to. Other than that it is a good truck. It is also pretty good on gas. Especially when we take road trips.

It takes a lot of gas to travel but it is very comfortable.
I like that I can fit people in the back . The back seat are big enough for adults and children. My dislike is that it is older car.
