Cool seats in the summer'love it
I love the driver & passenger separate heating/cooling functions. The rear view mirror blind spot indicators are life savers and in the summer I love to turn on my seat coolers. The Durango can fit so much in the back when the third row is down. It's also not such a huge SUV that makes parking difficult. I love how the second row folds down on one side independent of the other & the seats fold forward with ease.

In love with my new 2019 Dodge Durango!
I wasn't sure what I wanted to get I only knew I needed something larger now that I have a baby. I went car shopping and brought along my daughters car seat and found that many SUVs didn't actually have a lot of space with a car seat in the back. I ended up seeing a Dodge Durango and it was perfect! It had space for the car seat with plenty of room. Third row seating if needed, space in the back for groceries AND a stroller and still got decent mileage. I love my 2019 Dodge Durango and now all my friends want one too!

All in all, a great vehicle.
No problems so far. Very reliable and smooth riding vehicle. The gas mileage is on the higher side but all in all I enjoy the vehicle and love the amount of space that is in the interior. The center console and electronics are also top notch. I really enjoy the hands free wireless app as well.

Screen has imprint from previous menu screens like it's burnt into the screen, the passenger side doors don't shut properly and have to be slammed shut and tailgate gets stuck and won't open all the time. When it gets hot out the sunroof does not want to shut all the time

I started the lease on my Durango R/T at the end of March, and I have been very happy with it. The gas mileage I am getting is better than I originally anticipated, which is the most surprising aspect. The sound system rocks, the wheels are very slick, the engine roars, and the voice recognition system is superb. I would recommend to everyone who is interested in this ride!

2019 Dodge Durango is great for multiple passengers
My Dodge Durango is fantastic! With the third row seating and Captain Chairs in the second row, we can easily transport 6/7 individuals without feeling cramped! The backup camera helps to ensure we don't have accidents. We especially like that we consistently get 21 miles per gallon mileage.

2019 dodge Durango now made by fiat.
Overall a good vehicle. Have not had any issues so far. Had it for 60,000 miles as of now. There was one issue with the uconnect system.During a SiriusXM's update but that was fixed. It rides smooth for a larger SUV and has 3rd row seating. Should have got the captain chairs in the second row to make it easier to get into the 3rd row seats.

Sporty great riding large SUV.
Lots of space, exception space in 3 row, sporty and smooth to drive. Runs excellent, nice safety features with a great radio system. Surround airbags, sporty hood, fast engine and requires less frequent oil changes. The funest and sportiest SUV I have ever driven. Would definitely purchase dodge again very reliable vehicle I feel safe driving.

Is a okay car. Everyone have different taste on cars.
Is okay everyone have different experience or taste. Very roomy. GPS take forever to upload and update. Middle seats not that expand. Not good for very tall people. I do not know if I would lease it again but will see. Dodge is not a bad company is just okay.

Great car for people who aren't really into cars.
It's a solid car- no frills and nothing special go write home about. I got it really out of a necessity. I do not like the exterior as much as I used to- its very strange. The performance is average at best. I have a base model so I'm not looking to be out here going fast and all that extra stuff. Gas mileage is good. It was a new car so no problems yet. Just a solid middle of the road car to be honest.

2019 dodge Durango...Good buy.
The Durango is a very small large SUV. It is a very reliable car. Mid $30,000 price range. Good value for its size. Optional third row is a must. Very comfortable inside even on basic trim level. Nice engine performance and smooth drive. I would recommend the dodge Durango.

What Do Critics Say About the Dodge Durango?

  • Consumer Reports says the 2019 Dodge Durango offers a luxurious and refined interior, with good owner satisfaction scores as it ages.
  • Edmunds rates the Durango at 4.3/5, enjoying the spacious third row of seating, but says it’s bulkier to drive than most competitors.
  • Kelley Blue Book users give the 2019 Durango a 4.7/5, praising the strong V8 engine choices, but owners don’t like the poor off-road performance.

What Common Problems Does the 2019 Dodge Durango Have?

Common problems found on the 2019 Dodge Durango include burnt out rear lights, worn-out shocks, along with moldy smells coming from the A/C system. Overall, these problems are relatively minor compared to some other large SUVs, leading to lower repair bills as the Durango ages.

Burnt out rear lights are the most widespread complaint from 2019 Durango owners, showing up at around 15,000 miles. Usually, the problem is simply caused by a worn-out bulb in the light assembly, which costs around $15 to replace. If the central LED light bar breaks, then it costs around $450 to swap out.

Worn-out shocks are another problem mentioned by some Durango owners at roughly 30,000 miles. Shocks are typically considered to be a consumable component that wears out over time and needs to be replaced. A new set of shocks costs around $650 to install.

Moldy smells coming from the A/C system have also shown up on some Durango models within the first 1,500 miles. The smells are caused by a clogged A/C drain line, which allows mold to build up in the system. Cleaning out the drain line costs around $100 for labor, and fixes the problem.

There are three recalls on the 2019 Dodge Durango, which is similar to other large SUVs from the same year. The most serious recall covers a braking system malfunction, which can allow the vehicle to roll away while in park. Dodge will update the software on the ABS module for free on affected models. Other recalls cover the rearview camera, along with the front pinion gears. Dodge will fix both of those issues for free as well.

How Long Will the 2019 Dodge Durango Last?

A well-maintained 2019 Dodge Durango can last around 200,000 miles, which is shorter than the long-lasting Toyota Sequoia. Regular annual maintenance costs are slightly higher than some competitors, according to data provided by Repair Pal, at $625 per year.

As a used 2019 Durango reaches 100,000 miles, and depending on the vehicle history, owners should be prepared to replace the battery cable for $250, the wheel hub assembly costing $450, along with the A/C condenser fan, which costs $625.

How Is the Technology?

Standard entertainment technology is very good, offering a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Optional upgrades include a larger 8.4-inch touchscreen along with Alpine or Harman Kardon audio systems.

The standard safety technology is fairly basic, and only includes a rearview camera.

Optional advanced driver assistance features include:

  • Front and rear parking sensors
  • Lane departure warning
  • Adaptive headlights
  • Automatic emergency braking
  • Blind spot monitoring
  • Lane departure warning
  • Rear cross traffic alert

Is the 2019 Dodge Durango a Good Value?

Yes, the 2019 Dodge Durango is a great value if you’re in the market for a large three-row SUV with a lot of technology features. The blue book fair purchase price ranges from $24,625 to $52,990, making it less than a Chevy Suburban or GMC Yukon. When new, the price range was $30,445 to $63,245. Depreciation is similar to other large SUVs, losing around 7% of its current value per year.

What Colors Does the Dodge Durango Come In?

How Comfortable Is the Dodge Durango?

The 2019 Dodge Durango is recognized for its spaciousness and comfort, particularly for a midsize SUV. Its cabin boasts a generous amount of room, making sure that passengers in all three rows enjoy ample legroom and headroom. This makes it especially suited for longer journeys where passenger comfort is paramount. The seats are well-cushioned and supportive, with the front seats and second-row captain’s chairs, in particular, receiving praise for their level of comfort over extended periods.

Premium materials and soft-touch surfaces are used in higher trims, elevating the sense of luxury within the cabin. Ride quality is smooth, with the Durango’s suspension adeptly absorbing most road imperfections, guaranteeing a serene driving experience. Additionally, noise insulation is effective, allowing for a quieter cabin even at highway speeds. The climate control system, infotainment options, and ergonomic design further enhance the comfort level, making the 2019 Dodge Durango a favored choice for families and those who prioritize a comfortable driving and riding experience.

How Much Storage Space Does the Dodge Durango Have?

The 2019 Dodge Durango offers a substantial amount of storage space tailored for families and individuals with active lifestyles. When all three rows of seating are in use, the Durango provides 17.2 cubic feet of space behind the third row. This space can easily accommodate several grocery bags, a stroller, or smaller luggage pieces. For those who require more room, folding down the third row expands the cargo area to 47.7 cubic feet, which can fit larger items like bicycles, camping equipment, or a sizable collection of suitcases. For maximum storage, when both the second and third rows are folded down, the Durango boasts an impressive 84.5 cubic feet of space, making it versatile enough for transporting bulkier items such as furniture or large electronics.

Beyond the primary cargo areas, the 2019 Durango is thoughtfully designed with various smaller storage solutions throughout the cabin. These include door pockets, a spacious glove box, multiple cup holders, a center console bin, and under-floor storage compartments. There are also several cubbies and nooks ideal for personal items, making sure that both drivers and passengers have easy access to their essentials during a trip. The design of the Durango truly emphasizes both functionality and comfort, making it a practical choice for those who often carry a mix of passengers and cargo.

What Are the Differences Between Years?

The third generation of the Dodge Durango was introduced for the 2011 model year, and has had a few facelifts since its launch.

2015: Available red leather upholstery offered, and an optional Beats by Dre stereo system.

2016: Start-stop added to the V6 engine to improve efficiency, sport mode also offered.

2017: GT model replaces Limited in the lineup, small interior changes including two-tone leather.

2018: Standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on all models, new SRT sport model introduced with a stronger engine.

2019: Upgraded 19-speaker Harman Kardon stereo system available.

2020: No changes from earlier years.

2021: New front and rear styling with a more aggressive bumper, larger touchscreen in the cabin, and a stronger SRT Hellcat model.

How Does the Dodge Durango Compare to the Competition?

The 2019 Dodge Durango is a decent full size SUV, offering a comfortable interior with plenty of storage space, while also being a great value for shoppers on a budget.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee is a smaller SUV which can be found in the same price range. Off-road performance is better in the Jeep Grand Cherokee, while the Dodge Durango offers a lot more passenger room. We recommend the Jeep Grand Cherokee since it has more features, although the Durango is a great choice if you need the extra space.

The Chevy Traverse is another large SUV, which is available for about $2,500 less. Standard safety technology is better in the Chevy Traverse, while the Dodge Durango offers more cargo room. We recommend the Chevy Traverse since it’s more up-to-date, but both are good SUVs worth test driving to see which you prefer.

It is room and spacious and seats 7 comfortably.
It is fast and roomy for our family of 6. It drives very smoothly and is good on gas for a large size SUV. It is my second time purchasing this SUV because I loved it so much. In between my time of owning a Durango, I drove a mini van, but absolutely missed having a Durango which is why I bought another one.

7 passenger dodge Durango.
I love my 2019 dodge Durango. The ride is nice, very comfortable and quiet. I also love that it sears 7. The third row is even comfortable for an adult. I am 5’ 6” and actually find the third row more comfortable than the middle row. The sound system is great as is the navigation. I guess if I had to say something I didn't like was the fact that the one I got has the entertainment system in it and the fact that they put the DVD player in the console is a waste of space. You really cannot fit anything in the console with it in there.

It is a great car. Good handling and does not require a large amount of gas. It could either be a family car, fits 7 with limited cargo space, or a van like car, for moving. The front passenger seat folds down, along with the back row, opening up a large area to store objects.

I love my dodge Durango. It has a lot of really great features, like back up camera, that make driving just that much easier. I actually get pretty decent gas mileage at 20 miles per gallon. I have taken my Durango out in snowy weather and it is so reliable. I know I can depend on it to get me where I need to go safely. I love the third row seating and the second row bucket seats. I have 3 kids and it has made taking them all around in their car seats so much easier and they're much more comfortable. The navigation is super easy to use and very accurate, and it is nice that in a pinch I could plug my phone in and use google maps direct from it also. Finally, I love the partially leather and partially fabric seats. They are beautiful and very comfortable and soft.

One of the best vehicles that I have had the pleasure of owning of all the vehicles I have ever owned. Drives very smoothly, seating is comfortable, trim is excellent, sunroof is top of the line, rims are over the top and not to mention all the extra on the inside.

Great family vehicle with plenty of electronic options.
I love that it has rear seat warmers and temperature controls. I also really like the steering wheel warmer. I do wish there was a low heat option for the steering wheel. 3rd row USB plugs would be great. I wish there was an option to remove USB plugs from auto connecting to the car play.

Sports car but also a great family vehicle.
The Durango has the get up and go for a SUV. Also the entertainment system is great for the kids. For a long trip, it is very comfy and the heated and cooled seats are a bonus. Having the third row helps with long trips also or lay them down to haul stuff.

Love the 2019 dodge Durango.
The whole car is comfortable. My friend who is 6’3 sat in the middle row for a 10 hour road trip to Arizona & loved it! We drove from California. The car drives smooth, it does not drive like a big car, so you do not feel like your driving a huge truck or anything. But it definitely feels safe on the road.

This is the best affordable SUV being made today. Great power, and great style.
It is a great ride. Does everything I need from it. Great power and great style. The inside is very spacious, plenty of legroom for everyone. I love the all wheel drive it offers great driving control. The gt package is great. It offers a shiftable automatic transmission with the option of sport or echo modes. The gt trim also has a distinct grill cover that really sets it apart from other SUVs on the road. Just all around great SUV.

A good car to have. And the style of it and fun and outgoing.
I am sorry but right now I do not have a problem with my car. I love the way it drive and the space it have. But maybe in a later date. What more can I say and I do not have payments on my vehicle and it is a good car to have with kids and the gas is ok. Thank you that is all.

The best SUV on the market today.
I love my new dodge Durango. It is full of nice features and is very spacious. The third row seat lays down to give extra storage space and the second row is extremely spacious as well as comfy. The sound system is extremely excellent. The navigation console is within reach so you as the driver can safely use all the controls to take advantage of it is functions. Once the doors are all closed you cannot hear the outside noise that interfere with your comfortable ride.

Love my fully loaded dodge durango.
First fully loaded car I have ever owned and I love it! So comfortable and stylish. It has black interior and heated seats. Third row seating too. Touch screen radio and phone hookup connectivity. I also love the color of the interior. Sleek black and its leather but has suede in the middle of the seats.

High quality, great pricing! All the amenities!
The seats are very comfortable, the back two rows are incredibly roomy and comfortable. I feel very safe in my SUV, love the 3rd row. I do notice a slight whirring noise when it is cold and the vehicle is started. I have the lowest package and it still feels very luxurious.

White Durango with tan leather interior and captain seats.
Comfortable, really nice leather interior and love the captain seats in the back. Very spacious back end with third row laid down. It was used with only 8000 miles and sometimes makes a weird noise when I put it in reverse. The brakes are also starting to squeak with only 12000 miles but maybe that is normal?

2019 matte gray dodge Durango gt.
I love the push to start and how roomy it is with 6 seats. I love the extra storage spot in the back. It features navigation and apple carplay. It has the bucket seats in the back. The headrest in the very back come down with a push of a button. A lot of good features.

Mean looking SUV with tons of extras.
Vehicle is very roomy and comfortable. Perfect for my dog -he gets the entire third row area when I drop down the seats. That still leaves room for four people in the vehicle. This vehicle has the hemi v8 so the power and speed are fantastic. Exhaust sounds tough, like a sports car! Stereo system sounds great as well.

Plenty of space. Smooth drive. Wish it had more trunk space.
Very little trunk space when third row is open. I wish mine had a tow package. I like dodge and have not had an issues with the drive or vehicle. Plenty of space for my family of 7. Able to fit 3 car seats comfortably and safely. Plenty of car seat tethers.

I am loving the dodge Durango!
I purchased my first dodge Durango a few years ago! I upgraded last year! Love the hemi power! I travel and I get decent gas mileage and the features of blind spot in mirror, backup camera and navigation are absolute requirements from here on out! The mid size is great to fit adults! My children are grown and we can all comfortably ride in this vehicle! Now I have a grand baby and I love the car seat clips! It makes changing out seats easy!

2019 grey dodge Durango gt.
I purchased my Durango late 2019 and have had no issues. I absolutely love the third row seating and spacious trunk for groceries and luggage when traveling. The seats are extremely comfortable. The heated steering wheel and heated seats heat extremely quick to keep me warm in winter months. The only thing I wish I had was the automatic car start.

Dodge Durango is kid friendly.
My car has plenty of space for all 3 of my kids car seats to fit comfortably in the middle row. Plus having the 3rd row is great! It is very upgraded and modern. Definitely spacious and looks nice. The back has so much space when the seats are down, which is nice when you’ve got a car full of kids.

2019 dodge Durango rt best car ever!
It is the best car ever! I love it so much. I will have a Durango for the rest of my life. They are beautiful and stick out. The engine is solid. Dodge is a great company to work with they care about me and have amazing customer service. It has great get up and go. I love the 3rd row. It can tow up to 8000 pounds. Only downfall is it gets like 15 miles to the gallon but that is ok with me I love my car so much. Plus it is big and safe and has great safety ratings and I'drives great in the snow.

Absolutely love this car!
The only issue I have had has been with the stereo. I Doesn't always function how it should be. Delayed response to touch, doesn't save favorites, etc. Other than that, I absolutely adore this car. Gas mileage averages about 18 mpg for me, it fits all I need with room for more. It came with all the standards features, plus more! I am impressed with the power of the v6.

Dodge Durango- convenient family car.
The dodge Durango is a large, reliable, and affordable SUV. Its power is quite surprising and after one year has not shown any issues. It has been quite a pleasure and I would recommend to anyone. The only thing I wish I could change is having 3 seats in the third row!

Great SUV pick a dodge Durango!
Love my Durango rides smooth is very comfortable and I am extremely happy with it. Love the heated seats, heated steering wheel, touch screen. Backs seats fold down for easy to haul items. The color is metallic black which often gets mistaken for undercover cop haha.

Dodge Durango my performance.
I like the smoothness of it and that the engine is not too loud, and it is very spacious but at the same time it is safe. Makes me feel safe while driving in it. Although the mileage is getting pretty high because of drive a lot, but it has not caused any performance issues yet. In conclusion, I love it although it is wearing and tearing as all cars do but not that much.
