My 2011 ford fiesta ses. Reliable, cost-saving, and sync!
This is the newest car I have owned, and I love the way it handles, good on gas, and especially the sync functions. Very easy and functional. With front-wheel drive, I feel totally safe driving on slick and icy roads here in Colorado. Very low maintenance as well.
accountCircle Jane H
Great, cost-effective, reliable vehicle.
Great drive, size, and reliability. I love that it is a 4 door car. I can fit all my friends and family. I can fit all my gear for biking, running, and camping. Great mileage. I love the Bluetooth hands free capability. Seats are a little too low for my liking, I am constantly adjusting my seat.

Reliable transportation
Great car, I purchased in 2011, new. I have had very few problems with my fiesta. Now that it is older and there is over 128,500 miles on it
accountCircle Jessica B
The gas mileage can get up over 50 miles per gallon when on the highway.
I love the gas mileage and smoothness when driving my car. However since the year I bought my car was the first year it was released there have been many recalls on it. It is a great compact car that is still under 100,000 miles despite being almost eight years old.
accountCircle Sarah H
Manual transmission, smooth ride.
Manual, runs great at 150,000 miles. Have o2 sensor and maf sensor issues currently. Had to replace compressor recently. Otherwise runs great. Ac worked again after compressor was fixed. Heatworks. Awesome radio. 37 miles to a gallon, 11 gallon tank.
accountCircle Amanda R
The handling is very good. It's a joy to drive on curvy back roads.
The Fiesta is very reliable. In the almost eight years that I've owned it, I've only had one mechanical issue, which was in the past year. It is light and low to the ground, so it can be a struggle in difficult or winter terrain.
accountCircle Dawn R
Driving a fiesta is a fun experience you may not expect.
I absolutely love my car, it is small but is comfortable. There is plenty of space in the trunk, wonderful amount of cup holders, and USB ports. I am also pleased with it is performance as it gets up to speed very quick and the car is very reliable. I have taken it on a few road trips and it performed great.
accountCircle Kelly B
Good pickup and sound system.
Love the car. The vehicle however is a Ford so it definitely comes with transmission problems but the Ford customer service team is awesome, never a problem when I need to go to them to get my car fixed. Definitely recommend getting the warranty.

Tiny car, for great gas mileage.
Too small and uncomfortable is the worst part of it. Probably just because I am six foot two though. The radio has an electric short sometimes that will cause it to just stop playing until the car is started again. Only benefits of the car is great gas mileage.
accountCircle Aimee V
DON'T BUY THIS CAR!!!!! IT IS A LEMON!!!! I would never recommend a Ford ever again. The dealership is HORRIBLE and the car is DISASTROUS. Save yourself and buy something else.
I feel like I bought a lemon. My car has had transmission problems since day 1. I had a factory recall on the transmission and it took me over 4 years and multiple visits to ford to get it fixed and it still doesn't drive great. My safety locks on the doors failed. When I took it in I was told that was also a recall no one informed me about. And the handle to my drivers side door snapped off in my hand when I was closing my door at the gas station the other day. The door is made out of cheap plastic. Also, fun story, you cannot buy wiper blades at regular stores, they MUST be purchased through Ford and cost a FORTUNE. I hate this car.
accountCircle Larry S
Breaks down often. Do not buy.
It is really unreliable. I am scared it will break down sometimes. The car has worked for a while but I think it is time for me to get a new car instead. This car is good for maybe college students or high school students, not good for a family. Do not buy this, only buy to save money.

Terrible car
This has been a terrible car. Replaced the power control module which cost about 2700.00. Less than a year later. The car doesn't start all the time. Stops all of a sudden when I am driving it. I wouldn't recommend this car to anyone. I had to get rid of it or I was going get killed driving it.
accountCircle Dawn
So many problems
I bought this car, used, a year ago. There are SO many issues! There's a clicking when I turn. The wiper blades can't be bought at a regular store and are EXPENSIVE. The lights keep failing and it's a different, more expensive issue every time. And the worst is the transmission. Accelerating and decelerating have never been smooth. Feels like it's going to stall. My battery randomly died a couple of weeks back and now it won't downshift right, andwon't shift right past 55. This car has been a giant money pit!
accountCircle Mar T
It gets really great gas mileage which makes it great for road trips. It's not very big thought.
My car gets great gas mileage, but all of the features are pretty cheap. It's been fine for traveling but regular maintenance has become annoying.
accountCircle Emily B
Very reliable ford fiesta.
No vehicle problems at all, sits very low, and at times feel unsafe because it is difficult to see over the steering wheel. Also, the car is slow at times. Great gas mileage, only have to get gas like twice monthly. Lacks features, such as power windows and Bluetooth, etc.
accountCircle Elizabeth W
The Ford Fiesta will cost you quite a bit of money in repairs.
The Ford Fiesta has a defective transmission. Ford has had to replace the clutches in my vehicule three times. I would not recommend the Ford Fiesta to anyone.

Good little car for first-time buyers.
It is been good to me. It can be a little sluggish when you are accelerating, but once it gets going it is good. Getting tires is a pain because the fiestas tires are small, but once you find a good mechanic who can get them, you are good to go. I love the keyless entry and keyless ignition.

After a decade of use, I still love this car!
I love my fiesta! It has been a great car for the last decade. It is reliable, gets great mpg, and requires minimal maintenance, and is easy to park. It is also very safe for a small car. The only issues I have had with the car (the transmission) were covered by the warranty.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Sheila T.

Great gas mileage, reliable, sporty looking, easy to drive. Great car for computing or to run errands in. Large capacity trunk and takes a lot of abuse for a little car. The price was very reasonable and has had no large dollar issues.

likeFilled Jayce D.

The pros of my Ford Fiesta is excellent gas mileage. Another pro of my ford fiesta is the air-conditioning gets cold fast and blasts well. The last pro is the color of my car and the color of the interior.

likeFilled Tyler L.

It is small enough that it is easy to find a place to park and gets really good gas mileage. It is easy to handle. It has enough room on the inside to fit pretty much all you need To carry with you in a car.

likeFilled Chris T.

The gas mileage is very good. I get roughly 40 miles to the gallon on the highway, and it costs only $25 to fill the entire tank if gas prices are high. I have gotten it down under $20 if gas finds its way under $2/gallon. It'll only use about 3/4 of a tank of gas to go from Cincinnati to Chicago, which is a little under a 5 hour drive. The trunk also has a lot of space, despite its small size. All of the interior functions are easy to use.

likeFilled Cheryl B.

It is very economical to drive, fun to drive, fits almost anywhere and has been extremely cheap to maintain with no major repair in almost 9 years. I would buy one again if they still made them. It is cute.

likeFilled Karla F.

Great gas mileage, heated seats, lighted cup holders, fun color, moonroof, CD player, cruise control, sporty looking decent price range good warranty package is great electric windows and seats rides very smoothly.

likeFilled Karla F.

Great gas mileage both in city and on highway. It has many great accessories including a moonroof heated leather seats that are electric. It has cruise control, power windows push button start with safety features that car cannot be started if key is not in near vicinity of it. It also has lighted cup holders that can change seven different colors.

likeFilled Kathleen S.

Good on gas easy to drive have never had in shop except for routine maintenance. Nothing else to say except I would repurchase. I like the color of my car. It is easy to park. Has a lot of legroom.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Sheila T.

Does not have a big get up and go, Does not maintain speed when climbing hills and air conditioner is on. It sits very low and is difficult to get in and out when you are middle age. Great sitting for someone in 20's - 40's but would like something higher as get older.

dislikeFilled Jayce D.

The first con of my Ford Fiesta the size, I went on a road trip recently and finding comfortable sleeping arrangements was difficult. Another con of my Ford Fiesta is sometimes when you press on the gas it takes a min to get going. I have taken it to the shop and the car guy said nothing was wrong.

dislikeFilled Tyler L.

It is very hard to change the oil. It hydroplanes very easily because it is so light. It does not have a temperature gauge so you cannot tell if it running hot or not. The throttle control module acts up regularly.

dislikeFilled Chris T.

The car is small, so if you plan on bringing people for a long drive, those in the back seat may not enjoy the drive too much. The front seats have a lot of room, so you can always slide them up to equal space out, and then it is not bad at all. The front seats have no armrest, so if you like to lay your arm on something while driving, you'll have to get used to doing without. Also, the windows are roll-down. It is not bad unless you want all of them down in the middle of the drive; then you have to lean over to pull them down yourself. Also, the sound quality of the stereo system is not great. Of course, you can always upgrade, but the speakers blow out if you turn up the volume enough.

dislikeFilled Cheryl B.

Extreme engine noise. It sounds like a lawn mower. Also the 6 speed auto shift can be very hesitant. It was a learning curve to learn how to accelerate and anticipate the hesitation. It is too small for more than a family of one to use on a regular basis.

dislikeFilled Karla F.

Ford has had some mechanical issues with their transmission I have had mine in once for a transmission modular repair and they have class action suit against them at this time so that is something to keep in mind when deciding on making a purchase.

dislikeFilled Karla F.

Ford is notorious for transmission problems in certain models and years including the fiesta and fusion they currently have a class action suit against the ford motor company I have had to have my transmission module replaced once so far at no cost luckily because cars still under warranty.

dislikeFilled Kathleen S.

Paint on trim is cracking and fading due to hot sun. Seal around windows is rotting and the rubber around doors has fallen off I had to reglue. I think they need to work on this problem never happened to me with previously owned cars.

Is The 2011 Ford Fiesta A Good Car?

Yes, my fiesta is very reliable and easy to drive. It has great gas mileage, and I even drive it to see my grandparents who are 350 miles away and I only need to fill up gas once. The only downside is... Read More

Yes, it runs well and ford has good service technicians. It is durable and fuel efficient. It has helped me move multiple times- can store a lot for a small car
Vi B.
Yes, it is a nice vehicle that is reliable. I haven't had it for very long, but it gets good mileage and is comfortable to ride. It also has seat warmers.
Lynn K.
It is good enough! It's great for long trips because of how good it is on gas. However the special edition is lacking some basic features like radio controls on the steering wheel.
Mel R.
Yes to me it is. I like the way the car drives and holds the road. It is easy to drive and is easy to park.
Brooke G.
Has transmission problems every so often, when the problems arise it can be pretty bad. After getting fixed it drives just fine.
Emily L.
Actually, yes. However, my biggest complaint about it is that doesn't have enough weight to it. I won't drive it on the snow. It is made so cheaply that many items that normally come in a standard... Read More

How Reliable Is The 2011 Ford Fiesta?

It is a very reliable car. A lightweight vehicle that can travel far off of one tank of gas. The only problem is that it is difficult to work on because of its small size and hard to reach spots.
Bianca C.
It is mostly reliable. I have had trouble with the power chain, the door locking, issues with the catalytic converter, and others. Most of it was covered by ford’s warranty
James A.
It is reliable as far as I know. I haven't had any major problems. The only thing is that the lock/unlock button inside the car is very finicky and never does what I want it to.
Angie K.
There was a recall due to transmission issues but it was fixed for free, other than that it has been reliable.
Donna H.
Not that I know of. So I would say it is reliable. It does not have any big problems. I have good success with it usually.
Kim H.
Besides the reoccurring transmission problem it has no problems, is usually reliable until the transmission acts up.
Mike B.
It is reliable, but the transmission has given us problems more than once. There have been a couple of recalls on various things.
Debbie R.
Transmission issues for the first time. Brakes and regular oil changes one new set of tires are the maintenance done. It is what other people have done, back into my parked car in the grocery store.

Is The 2011 Ford Fiesta A Good Value?

It was $20k when I got it in 2010- it was worth the money because it has heated seats, USB audio, Bluetooth audio, lots of safety features, and more

I am not too familiar with the cost, but I bought it used for around 5000 dollars. For that price, it seems to be a very nice value.
Danielle S.
I believe I got it used for around $6,000 which is a bit pricey for how small of a car it is. If I could go back I would have negotiated for a lower price.
Leah L.
My friend bought it for me. I think the price was $10, 899 or something like that. It is a used car. But to me it is a new car.

It cost around $3,000. Car has great gas mileage, a little over 250 miles until empty, take a little over $20 to fill.
