Ford flex is the best family ride.
This is the most comfortable vehicle I have ever owned. It has a lot of room for storage even when using all three rows! It is a great family car, but does not have the feel of a minivan. It is great for vacations do to all of the room. It has a lot of great features - heated seats, back seat a/c control, back up camera, Bluetooth tech.

It is our home away from home.
Great car for my big family. Has a 3rd row for 7 seats and the 2nd and 3rd row fold down for moving stuff. The back 2 rows have sunroofs while the front row has a moonroof. It also has the ford sync system for Bluetooth use with your phone. It is a wonderful family vehicle.

Ride, Mileage, and Space Galore!
The body style kind of reminds me of the mini trucks and lowriders I used to get excited about when I was a teenager. It think it's a super cool and practical alternative to mini vans and big, lunky SUVs. It's kind of a best kept secret, and I'm sad that 2019 is the end of the model...but it was seriously neglected by Ford. Even though it's fraternal twin, Explorer, is more popular, I use this to make Amazon deliveries and give Uber XL/Lyft rides once in awhile. I have a lot of positive comments from passengers about the spaciousness and attractiveness of the vehicle. I have the tan cloth interior and the seats are pretty durable. I also like the deep blue exterior paint job. I don't like the gray-blue that Ford started using for later models. I upgraded to some touring tires when I bought new tires and it rides like a dream! It's the perfect size for road trips with a family of 5. We have room to spread out, and there's space left behind the third row for some luggage. I have a rack on top for the rest of our gear. I purchased mine used with 40,000 miles. It was still getting about 22 mpgs (combined). Around 90,000 miles, I changed the air filter and replaced the spark plugs and I was back to 22 mpgs (combined) again! I also had to replace a fuel modulator behind the rear passenger door along the way. Other than that, mine has been very reliable.

Nice vehicle to drive even though it is larger than a car. It drives like one.
It is blue with gray top. It drives wonderfully and is very economic gas wise. I usually fill it up once a week and that is at half a tank. It is roomy with the third row seat. The only problem I have is the third row is hard for me to get in. Once in there it is a comfortable ride with comfortable leg room. We brought the vehicle so that we could take our grandkids with us on long trips. They absolutely love it especially the Sirius radio where they can listen to the music they want without commercials while riding. I have been questioned by people as to how I like it and the gas mileage while I am out and about. I love my flex.

Family vehicle with the flex.
The only problems I have had is with the back door/tailgate door. It needed a new motor. However there is so much room. It sits 7 people and it can haul all of my kids sports equipment with no problem at all. I like that it is spacious and has enough plug in areas for people to charge their devices.
accountCircle Allyson T
It has a ton of space for a growing family. With seating up to 7
I absolutely love my car. It fits all 7 of us perfect. Plus holds all the baseball equipment!
accountCircle Karen W
It is a Reliable and comfortable vehicle, and it has a hauling hitch.
It is Easy to enter and get out. It has Lots of room. It is Easy on Gas. It is a Smooth ride. It Looks regal.

Cool mom driving in an edgy car.
Love my flex but sometimes depending on how I am sitting it is hard to see in blind spot. It is very reliable and I love having the third row especially when traveling. It is pretty good on gas, love the heated leather seats and the black sparkly paint. I do wish it had a moonroof.

Focusing on the gas pedal.
The brakes are a little touchy. Same with the gas, I have to be very careful when I press on the gas, if I use too much power the car will fly forward abruptly. This is actually helpful though when I am merging onto the highway! But when I am at a stop sign, I have to gently tap or I will go far too fast.

Too many issues to be worth it!
The cars electronic power steering goes in and out regularly. It apparently is something that was recalled in 2010 but has yet to improve. Also the drive train makes a terrible noise and it started close to 70k miles, this is also an issue many other flex owners have complained about for years without resolution.

I love the very precise backup camera.
It is a great car if you have to drive six people around and you do not like minivans. The seats fold/stow easily and the gas mileage is decent. But, it is so long and difficult to park, and as my oldest graduates from high school, I long for a smaller vehicle! It was great while it lasted but I am ready to something smaller.
accountCircle Justyne W
It is very large and roomy. Very great car for a road trip.
On my ford flex really the only thing I do not like about it is the center dash where the screen is. I do not like how hard it is to change the radio station and ac/heat. It is a touch tap that is very tiny and hard to touch correctly while driving you have to look at it and take your eyes off the road.

I love my ford flex 2014 so much.
The flex ford 2014 is very spacious and wonderful for big families that do not want something as hefty as a van. Lots of trunk space, comfortable seats, and has Bluetooth radio option that comes in handy for long road trips with a music crazy family. I have had it for a long time now (4 years) and it is still running just fine.

2014 ford focus se review.
Transmission problems, it stutters. The car handles pretty well and is good on fuel economy. It takes e85 so the gas is a lot cheaper than most cars. It has bluetooth and is able to connect to a few cars. It also has a sunroof but also plenty of room in the trunk.

The features are GREAT!!!
I have a 2014 Ford Flex Limited that has been my daily vehicle for almost 2 years. Overall it's a good car. We have had some repairs (CV joint, fuel pump filter). I love all of the features, sunroof, nav system, push-button start. I look forward to having it several more years.

Car is okay, but not the best.
Speakers are spotty, the car drives okay but can be loud at times, after one car wash the back washer fluid sprayer stopped working, the car is comfortable and a nice ride because it is smooth as it sits up high, the touch screen does not always work and can be very off, the speech commands also do not always work properly.

My wonderful daily driver.
The car just keeps on running and I literally drive it into the ground. I do deliveries for GrubHub and I am a caregiver as well, so I basically live in my vehicle. It is roomy and I do like the heated seats for my back. There is great lumbar support as well. I do not like the fact that it is pretty difficult to park. I also am not a fan of the look of the stock wheels.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Mary R.

I love that it drives like a smaller vehicle. It hugs the road nicely and it does not feel like your driving a tank like some other vehicles it is size. I love how spacious it is. We are a family of 5 and have a large dog and we all fit in there perfectly for long trips. I love how all the seats in the back lay down completely flat which creates a nice amount of space to transport things.

likeFilled Angel H.

Lots of room, made for adult size people. 7 Seater. Nice sound, sunroof, easy handling. Rear view camera allows for easy exits. Side view alerts ease changing lanes. Seats adjust easily. Lots of luggage space as well as cargo space.

likeFilled Lisa G.

The pros of this vehicle are it is spacious seating arrangements without sacrificing your trunk space! The seats are very easy to maneuver and comfortable as well. It drives very smoothly and can even haul smaller things. Our family of 6 loves our ford flex and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a family vehicle.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Mary R.

I do not feel like it is super ideal for families with more than one kid in a car seat. We have two kids in car seats and it is a pain trying to get our older son (6) in the back in the third row because we have to move everything around. And he could sit in between the two car seats but there is not a ton of room for him.

dislikeFilled Angel H.

Some might say it is too big, somewhat long. Sunroof should have alert when it is not returned back to normal position. Only one side has seats adjust for back row seating. Sunroof does not allow for roof top storage.

dislikeFilled Lisa G.

The cons of the ford flex are having to fold the middle seat to get to the third row. It also has very strange doors that basically cup under the vehicle where the rocker panels are. I have only owned mine for a year but I fear that living in the north with snow and salt being a factor that the bottom of my doors will begin to rust and that will be a heftier replacement than rocker panels.
