Comfortable ride, great back up camera, decent gas mileage
Love the backup camera, handling, ride, rear climate control and 3rd row seats. No complaints
accountCircle Stormy R
It is been a great vehicle. I have not had any issues with it.
I love the size, and driving a bigger vehicle. I love the storage. I do not like the gas I spend on it. I also do not like that I cannot change the screen picture on my stereo.

Luxurious SUV not made for sharp turns and frequently stopping on hills.
Has 3rd row, love the DVD player, love the double sunroof. Had to put a new transmission in it a month after buying it tho. I got the windows done and it looks sharp. I have to get new tires though. It looks good. Really love the way it drives however it does not do well in mountains, the brakes get too hot and a wheel bearing came loose.

Acadia - solid car with lots of choices.
Great space and lots of choices. The gas mileage is good for an SUV. All of the add-ons come built in to these type of cars which is great. We have had it for 8 years and have had no major issues besides the normal routine maintenance. Fantastic car for the price, which was reasonable.

Reliable vehicle that is great for large families.
I have had no problems from my vehicle. It is very good on gas and reliable. The seats are comfortable and good for long trips. I love the air vents in the back rows. They really help keep everyone and the whole car cool on hot days. The trunk is spacious even with the third row up and huge with the third way down.

Handles like a car but holds so much more
Love the size, whole family plus extra fits but doesn't feel too big. Handles very well on the road and I always feel comfortable driving it

Sleek look and roomy interior.
I enjoy the spacious back seat & comfortable 3rd row for my children. The passenger side has a lot of legroom and comfortable chair. My favorite part of the drivers side is the lumbar support on the swat & the height adjustment on seat. It drives very smooth and handles very well. The sleek body is what caught my attention when I first say this vehicle. Would definitely upgrade to a new one if I had the chance.

It carries a lot and looks good while you're doing it.
I love that it has three rows so I can carry my kids friends even with car seats. I also love that the seats fold down so I can carry groceries home. Plus I love that it isn't a minivan.

2013 GMC Acadia too much maintenance.
This vehicle continually has ignition problems. The headlights go out often and to change it you have to take a tire off, very inconvenient. It guzzles gas. It is too large.

Bad Engines BEWARE
My GMC 2013 Acadia's engine blew at 105,000 miles. After only having the car for less than two years, I now have two loans on this vehicle. GMC will not acknowledge their engine defect. Read the reviews (lowest first) before you think about buying this used vehicle. GMC does not back their product.

Acadia AC
I love my 2013 Acadia, love the way it drives and all the room. However, the AC leaves a lot to be desired. About a year after buying the, rear AC went out. Luckily it was under warranty. It was replaced at no cost to me. So, now 3 years later it is happening again, only it's my cost now. I was told at the dealership it would run around $1000.00. The mechanic my husband spoke to said it's a defect in the design and therefore I can expect to replace it about every 3 years. Sorry to say I won't be buying another Acadia. This sucks, GMC!!!

It isn't the best car has so many issues and recalls
Lot of recalls Lot of problems Lemon Breaks all the time
accountCircle Cheri S
Transmission issues ongoing.
My vehicle has been in the shop numerous times for the transmission slipping. They do small fixes but nothing works. At one point the car was in the shop for 3 weeks because they said it wouldn't do what I described. I wouldn't buy a GMC again because of this issue.

Nice features but consistent problems
The mechanical problems far out way the features. Constant problems including terminal block, reluctor ring, and transmission issues with only 105,000 miles. I love the look and features but if I could do it over I would not purchase this vehicle

I just wish it were built a little tougher. No car should be made of plastic.
My vehicle seems to be unreliable. It breaks down often and seems most engine parts are made of plastic. It has been in the mechanics shop more times than I can count. There seems to be something wrong every week and it's always something new. The things I do like about it is that it handles very well. Has a good amount of power and rides very nice. The sound system is amazing. It's a very comfortable car. I just wish it were more reliable.

Big problems without solutions.
I have had continued transmission and a/c problems since purchasing the vehicle. The dealership has tried over and over to diagnose to no avail. I also am not happy with fuel efficiency, I realize that it will not be outstanding considering the engine size but, in my opinion, it is not what it should be.

2013 GMC Acadia in a nutshell.
Has some problems with transmission. Overall the car is fine. I need to get some work done on the front end, but I do not think that is normal problems with the car and more the roads here in the town I live. The car feels safe when I am driving it and for an SUV gets good gas mileage. It has third row seating and I like the amount of room the car has.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Jennifer K.

Pros: safe, reliable, great stereo system, decent fuel mileage, easy to work on like changing oil, filters, etc. My husband has taken care of most of the repairs, basic upkeep type items. Cons: pretty large, almost feels like a minivan, decent fuel mileage, not the best.

likeFilled Bri S.

Third row seating. Third row can lay down so create a great trunk space. Heated seats. Two sunroofs. Bucket seats in second row. Comfortable space. Decent highway gas mileage. Air conditioning/heat control in the backseat.

likeFilled Lashanda H.

It has 3rd row seats for large families. Has seat warmers, gives decent gas mileage for it to be SUV. Great for road trips. Bluetooth capable, separate a/c controls for the backseat passengers. Smooth ride. I love it.

likeFilled Kasey W.

I love that the vehicle has 3rd row seating. That really helps with kids especially if one of their friends spends the night. The 3rd row also folds down if I need extra room for cargo. The model I have also has a DVD player which helps with keeping kids entertained. Plenty of storage space. The heated/cooled seats are great as well.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Jennifer K.

The cons of the 2013 GMC Acadia are few. The only thing I really do not like is how big it is. Sometimes I feel like I am driving a minivan. I wished that it had a sunroof. That would make it just about perfect.

dislikeFilled Bri S.

This model is not AWD OR 4WD. Small trunk space if third row is up. Small cup holders in the backseat. Steering wheel is not heated. No navigation system. In town gas mileage is not great. Single air conditioner/heat control upfront.

dislikeFilled Lashanda H.

The storage in the back is limited. Had issues with the traction control malfunctioning. Took it to the dealership 3 times before they figured out the issue and cost $700 to fix. Haven't had a problem since.

dislikeFilled Kasey W.

This vehicle gets approximately 16-18 mpg. Also there are some groves where the second row seats move forward/backwards on that can collect random trash, fries etc and it can be hard to get them out. The 3rd row seating is not as comfortable as second row.

It has its flaws, but I have been overall satisfied. There are some ways it could be better with regard to space availability and mechanics.

It does not have any problems that prevent me getting one place to another, but there are some technical issues that tend to bug me at times with the settings and using the touch screen.

The 2013. GMC Acadia has had a steering issue in the past. The driver train suspension had to be replaced within less than 2 years.

Super reliable. I've had it for over 4.5 years and it has 110,000 miles and I have not had any issue with it yet. I know I can always jump in it and it’s ready to go

Is The 2013 GMC Acadia A Good Value?

It was $24000. Which I think was a lot but it fits my family so that is a plus. I think I could have got a better deal at another dealership.
Nicole L.
I cannot remember the exact cost, $40’s Yes, it definitely was and is a great value., with all the safety ratings and the 7 air bags.
Amanda K.
I purchased my 2013 in 2016. I feel as if I paid too much for it, but I don't fault the makers for it. I was not as knowledgeable about buying vehicles at the time.
Autumn B.
I have the Denali trim which is more expensive. A less expensive model is an option and more cost effective.
Eli E.
We paid $23,000 for it in 2014 and I feel like that was super reasonable compared to the price tag on vehicles today
