Very safe. A lot of airbags, lane departure warning & backup camera, etc.
No complaints! Got Acadia Denali as a retirement gift for self!! Smooth ride, all the bells & whistles! Love heated & cooled seats & heated steering wheel!!

Acadia review is great for driving and nice car.
Great family car cause it holds car seats. Groceries fit perfect in the back seat and also nice for road trips. I do recommend on the highway driving for out of town trips too. Really comfortable to drive, the negative is that it takes too much gas for everyday driving.
accountCircle Karly M
Back up camera, Bluetooth, heated seats, bucket seats, 3rd row, Bose speakers.
It is comfy. Very nice and runs smoother. Fits our family of 5 great. Also has the bucket seats that you can move forwards or backwards with the 3rd row instead of just bench seats. It has been very reliable. It also is nice that up front we can turn the a/c on what we want while the kids can have the temperature they want in the back. It has a backup camera. Very easy to hook Bluetooth up. We also love the boe speakers so the music sounds good.

Great car I'd buy another if I had the money.
My 2016 GMC Acadia is very spacious and handles the road very well! Pretty good on gas and haven't had any trouble with it since I bought it brand new in 2016. Plus the v6 engine is strong enough for me to get down the road! Entertainment system is very great to keep the kids occupied on a long trip plus it has OnStar Wi-Fi so the kids can play on their iPads.
accountCircle Jennifer B
Perfect for families! Lots of room to fit up to seven people.
I love that it has three rows with captains chairs in the center row. This makes it easier to get my little ones in and out of their car seats, and my older daughter can get into the third row through the doors or through the hatch. It is a large vehicle, but it feels like I am driving a car.
accountCircle Megan B
It is spacious and works great for our family. I like the back end and the ease of getting groceries in and out. I feel safe on the road in the vehicle too.
It is a great size for a family of four. The kids can spread out comfortably and have their own room.

Not many complaints about this truck
A problem is the gas it takes and how frequently it can run out. That gets pretty expensive. I love that it has multiples vents all throughout the truck.
accountCircle Jennifer H
Perfect for a larger family.
Very comfortable space wise even in the rear seats there is plenty of legroom. 40/60 split third row is perfect for flexibility of trunk space. Dual cool/heat zones keep everyone in the car comfortable. Car has overall been very reliable. Ac problem due to a recall that was fixed at no cost otherwise no major concerns. Love the heads up display on the dash especially for navigation. Have running boards which are important if you are on the shorter side or have small children. Captains chairs in the second row is also a bonus making it easier for children and adults to access the third row without having to fold chairs down. Decent interior capacity when 2nd and third row are flat. Minimal road noise. Overall a wonderful full size SUV if you have a larger family or need extra space.

If you mean the GMC I'm driving people should it is big and wide Too wide!
I am driving this vehicle because my husband changed jobs and got a company car that he has to use for business We had two SUVs- a Cadillac and the GMC The Cadillac lease was ending around the same time as he was getting the company car, so bye bye caddy and now I'm riding this beast til the end of the lease

2016 GMC Acadia Denali - wish I would've waited
I take my time deciding on new vehicle purchases, try to keep my vehicles around 10 years and usually look very in-depth for a couple years before deciding. I found this Acadia and it has been nothing but problems since the day I acquired it. First it was the air conditioning and then a major water leak from either the windshield or the drain hose from the sunroof - they told me both, so I an say for sure. Then my sound went out and it was a bad amplifier. I had just started driving it and now it's been down for clicking battery. It's going on a year and I've probably driven my Acadia maybe 20% of the time since I purchased it - thank God I kept my faithful 2005 Honda Pilot. My daughter purchased a brand new GMC Acadia the same day I got mine and she's had issues also, having three batteries replaced, only to find out it was a module of some sort. I trust my ole' stand-bye, 2005 Honda Pilot, more than I do my 2016 GMC Acadia. Not too mention, the blind spots as well.
accountCircle Tanner T
GMC Acadia a very cheaply made SUV.
I have had to replace sensors in the engine and the torque converter. Gas mileage is not very good for a compact SUV. There is only 94000 miles on it and 6000 of work done on it. The seats are poorly put together. If you have more than two kids it is to small for comfort.

GMC Acadia - do not do it!
It has an awful technology system. It is horrible on gas. We got a rebate from GMC because they misquoted the gas mileage. We were supposed to get an average of 22 mpg. I end up with less than 15 mpg. It makes a high pitched electrical noise coming from the dash from time to time that I always hear but will never happen when I come to the dealership. And it just does not drive well.

GMC 2016 Acadia-Mild Performance Issues With Brakes and Blind spots
One thing I really don't like about this car is the sheer amount of blind spots it has. I have counted about five to six different blind spots and it makes me feel very unsafe when driving the car. I definitely think that it needs a lower dashboard which would help to lessen the blind spots. Overall the gas-per-mileage is decent. Not the best thing as normally I have to refill the tank every other day which takes it toll on my pockets. But other than that I haven't had any mechanical/engine/transmission issues that this car had to be taken into the shop for meaning that it is relatively easy to take care of. The leather seats are comfortable and look nice but if you have small to middle school aged children with restless hands, the material to the seats will easily wear down so BEWARE don't lease this car with kids unless you want to pay a fine. Also the arm of the back seat chairs are susceptible to damage too regardless of age. If you put too much pressure (which isn't a lot) onto the seat then arm will dip and dip and become looser to the point where it's better to just leave the arm up and not use it at all. So far the exterior of the car holds to weather conditions as I haven't had any issue with rusting or breakdown around the bottom of the car. But driving in Michigan winter weather is an absolute nightmare in itself. The wheels slip constantly on ice, snow, and bad rain which makes me hate driving out in that type of weather.

Good vehicle if you have small children.
I like the size not too big not too small on the outside but very compact on the inside do not like the bucket seats in second row. Like the space in the back of the truck. Like the remotes start especially in the summer. Can fit big things in truck when you fold down the seats.
accountCircle Sara K
Third row seating with a ton of room, to fit all your mom and child space needs.
It is a basic model so it has no bells and whistles. Which brings me to the thing I dislike about it the most, the cloth seats wish I had leather Easier to clean. Another thing I do not like about it is that it has so many blind spots. I've owned all types of different vehicles this one is by far the Worst for blind spots. I like how big the vehicle is because with 3 kids it's great I can put both rows up plus fit my double stroller.
accountCircle BJay C
The GMC Acadia is a reliable family car, however does drive more like a truck than a comfortable SUV.
As a family of 5, we bought the Acadia for the 7 seats and ease of accommodating carpooling and larger group trips. Although it is a functional vehicle for this purpose, we feel it drives more like a truck than a family friendly car.

Acadia- one of the best cars created.
The car is reliable. Performs well in snow. Not too high off ground, but definitely not low to the ground. We have enjoyed the comfortable height. Our little ones can even climb in on their own. The trunk space is unbelievable. Even with all three rows up, we can still fit a few suitcases in the trunk. Ours is an 8 seater and I wouldn't go any other route.

I love my spacious GMC Acadia!
I love how spacious my Acadia is. The 2nd row being captains chairs helps so much with space. I love that the third row is split 60/40 so you only lose one seat belt if the seat has to be laid down. I love the heated seats and legroom for the passenger and driver.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Amela M.

Dual sunroof dual heating and cooling. Heated and cooled seats. Very roomy inside. Love everything inside. Wish the exterior was more appealing. Rear view camera. Touch screen. It has a lot of plugins for chargers in the back as well as the front. And headphone jacks which is awesome for kids on road trips.

likeFilled Cassandra S.

A wonderful drive. Very comfortable and lots of space. The bucket seats are a must! I love the interior lighting at night. The leather is very soft. The vehicle gets good gas mileage. Great handling on the interstate.

likeFilled Tammy G.

The safety features are amazing with backup sensors and front end sensors. It has feature to alert you when you are going out of your lane. The blind spot monitoring is great, it came with backup camera, good gas mileage, navigation system and Apple Carplay. It has heated seats. It has two sunroofs.

likeFilled Toya H.

I love my backup camera, turn by turn navigation system and seat warmers. I also like the tinted windows. The remote start is amazing to use. It come in very handy every morning. Automatic trunk opening and closing comes in handy.

likeFilled Lauren G.

Back camera, alerts when close to things, alerts through both beeping and vibrations on the side of the seat where you are close to something, speaker system is good quality and sound range is wide, overall a pretty good car.

likeFilled Al S.

Great on gas. Great on mileage. Easy accessible spare tire. Double climate control. Hands free trunk. Firm steering wheel. Includes driver alert packages. Powerful v6 engine. Easy to use technology. Hands free voice control. Swift acceleration. Attachable seating. Can make into big trunk.

likeFilled Jessica N.

Excellent SUV! Drives and handles extremely well! Super spacious and tons of room! Very smooth and great on gas! Whether you have kids or dogs, there are 3 rows of seats and tons of room to pack all of your belongings to travel!

likeFilled Taylor M.

Safe, new and updated, leather seats, Bluetooth, good on the road, holds up to seven people which is great for my big family, everyday use, good middle of the road car/brand- not too flashy but not a cheap car, smart detection.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Amela M.

There really isn't any cons besides that I wish the exterior was more appealing. Also that there was more space in the trunk. Although the seats can be put down when needed it only works if we don't have the whole family with us otherwise there isn't much room for luggage if we go on a road trip.

dislikeFilled Cassandra S.

The vehicle is perfect for me. I would like to know so more of the features, I just haven't had time to look through the manual. I wish I knew how many miles I had until I reached E on the gas gauge. Some blind spots.

dislikeFilled Tammy G.

There are No cup holders in the back seat. So many features that need to be figured out how to set to your own preference. So many features that need to be explored to figure out how to use them. Scary with the sensors going out. Having many features also means a lot can go wrong with the car.

dislikeFilled Toya H.

I do not like that the back sunroof does not open. I would really like if it opened. Also that there is not a DVD player installed. The back seats are not heated. It also needs more outlets for cell phones.

dislikeFilled Lauren G.

Beeping can get excessive and is sometimes distracting when driver is trying to focus, alert system is very sensitive which increases safety, but also causes distractions to the driver, Bluetooth system is very glitchy at times, and is often unable to connect to devices.

dislikeFilled Al S.

Lacks storage for small items. Limited cargo space. Cramped back row. This car needs constant attention. Lackluster base engine. Needs more cargo and third-row space. Towing. Electric-assist power steering.

dislikeFilled Jessica N.

None! This is by far my favorite vehicle that I have ever owned. I could not say one bad thing about this SUV. I would highly recommend it over any SUV on the market. The size is perfect! No cons about this car!

dislikeFilled Taylor M.

Not the greatest on gas--it's a large car, hard to park, hard to bring in parking garages if there's something on the top of it like a ski holder because the car is just so tall, having to refill the gas tank is annoying and expensive but that is the way it is with big cars.

Sort of. It has its flaws like too many blind spots, frequent brake issues, and such. But it has good gas mileage and I have been using for a few years
Justin H.
I consider it an okay vehicle. There are things I like which include the size and space. But I've had issues since leasing it which I haven't been happy about.

Absolutely. It is very room and luxurious. Mine has a DVD player, sun roof, moonroof, power liftgate, black leather heated and cooled seats, and much more.
Abby M.
Yes it is good most of the time. I have had some trouble with the stereo. It does not get good gas mileage, but looks good.
Kathleen M.
Yes it is very reliable and spacious. My family of five has no problem fitting comfortably. Also it has room if I need to move something. Only thing is it eats a lot of gas.
