It gets great gas mileage especially considering how quick and fun it is.
It's horsepower to weight ratio makes it a really fun car to drive. It is my daily driver. I love the style and dependability of the car.

It is a reliable sports car
I like that the car is sporty. I like that the car is a sports car, yet reliable and easy to repair. I like the fact that the car is a convertible, which means more fun in the summer.

Perfect machine for me
My favorite thing is driving my ‘07 Mx5 Stormy Blue Mica with 5-speed and tan leather. Top down is by far my favorite driving style. I have never had a car that I’ve loved more and I’ve had all types and brands of cars. I’ve had it for about 8 years and I have been thinking of trading or selling it but I can’t bring myself to do it bc it’s been such a reliable and fun car. And now that it’s paid off it’s even better. So I’m going to hold on to it until I can find a car that can compare. So I’ll probably be an Mx5 owner for life, bc nothing compares. It still drives excellent and it has approximately 140,000 miles.

Fun, sporty, and exceeded my expectation.
I originally leased my car and after five years I loved it so much I decided to purchase it. I didn't want to give the car back because it was so much fun to drive it was reliable comfortable and even though it has a small trunk space it always fits all of my groceries into it without any problem. One of the best perks about having this car is it you can find parking spaces almost anywhere without any problem. I have the soft top convertible and it still looks new and it is easy to manually put down when I want to have the top down. Besides regular maintenance and having to get new tires as expected after so many years I haven't had any problems with this car and I have had it over 10 years.

A small and fun car that is worth the minor inconvenience
A/C does not work well, so I drive with the windows or top down. While it is small, I can get comfortable in it (I am 6ft). Has low HP but is quick because of how lightweight it is. Good sound system and a blast to drive and handle. Engine has 120k miles on it but still works well.

They have to know how to drive stick shift.
I like the convertible, but I cannot carry much cargo. Other drivers pull up very close to my rear bumper.

Precision and Reliability
I purchased my 2007 MX5 automatic transmission last year..low km and mint condition. I love, love, love this car! She handles beautifully on curves, and is a dream to drive. I get thumbs up all the time from other drivers. She is a metallic grey with a rawhide color top and seats..very s**y little car! I've been looking for years to find "the one", and I found her..named her Mia.

Premium gas is a must. Take good care of the top if its a soft one.
This car has outstanding performance and is very reliable. A really fun drive, especially with the top down!

Inexpensive sports car that causes folks to stop and comment on 'great car'.
Fun car to drive! Handles like a race car. No problems with the car except minor: 1) engine light pops up if gas tank lid not closed properly and 2) emergency brake light sometimes doesn't turn off. Car is 12 years old but still looks relevant today. LOVE IT!

Not a lot of space for things.
No major problems so far other than a evap pump malfunction. It is my first car and I couldn't be happier with my decision, its sporty and handles like a dream.

Mazda MX-5 is fun and cool.
I bought my car used, but have never had a problem with reliability. No major problems at all. Automatic convertible top is very convenient and reliable. It is somewhat loud from all the road noise, but that's common with convertibles and it's much better with the hard top. Only other complaint is the air conditioning is not working well, but does continue to blow air. Only seems to cool the air while moving.

The ride is not cushy...but that's kind of the point. The seats are low to the ground and surprise some people the first time they get in a Miata. It's going to be a tight fit if you are a big or tall person. Perfect for us though.
So fun to drive a Miata, it has great handling. Easy to park in tight spaces. Only wish is that it is hard to see out the back and over big SUVs when I am trying to make a turn. When the top down, it is the best.
