Highland Hybrid ' Great Value for the Size
Drives well, has great power, and gets better gas mileage than other cars of its weight. The only drawback is that it is huge and not always easy to park. It's a great adventure vehicle and has plenty of room to take friends as well as move large or heavy objects.

Not selling car anytime soon!
Great car, has held up well, gets me everywhere I need to be and does need much maintenance. Third row seats are a bit cramped, I would never wanna be stuck back there. There's more than enough room up front. Speakers are amazing. Not trying to sell any time soon.

Our Highlander Hybrid fits the flexible needs of our family.
Our Highlander Hybrid fits our family needs wonderful. The fold down third row is very helpful with addition passengers on the occasional basis. When the third row is folded down we have excellent storage space for groceries or gardening needed items. Our Highlander has great pick up to get going to speed without sluggishness or slow acceleration. It is also very responsive when on the road in country or city driving. Our model does have a searching that is noted in the fall and spring months randomly when braking. It is a controlled break with a random search forward. Our mechanic suspects it is a feature of the early hybrid technology when the car transfers from electric to gas functioning.

Solid Car minor inconveniences
I have a lot of suspension issues and ABS issues, but solid engine. I live on a dirt road, so that might be why. I love the GPS system. Car looks newer than it is, most people don't realize it is a 2006. It is not very music friendly since it does have older tech such as a cassette player.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Jadion J.

I can literally fit anything in my car. Great for road trips. I love that my car can fit 7 people. I am in college so I really need all the trim I can get. My car is great on gas and mileage. I can fill my tank with $25 and that will last me for just over two weeks.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Jadion J.

I have some difficulty getting my heat to kick on but It just requires patience. I am small and my car is big so my driver seat is never perfectly adjusted for my body. I really love my car though and I cannot think of any other cons I would have with it.

Not at all is very comfortable and reliable wherever you go and your daily needs and also the way it looks is fantastic

It is very reliable. I've had a few repairs lately but usually it’s the brakes or battery that would happen in any car. Just once it was the hybrid system.

Is The 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid A Good Value?

We paid about $12000 for it used about 2 years ago. We felt like that was a good deal for the quality of car we got. It had post factory speaker upgrades and fairly low mileage (about 80000).
Amanda B.
Very good value for the money. You save a lot on gas and that’s what you want to see every month you have work tomorrow
Taylor W.
I bought it used so I paid about $18000 for it. I'm expecting to keep it until it has 200,000 miles on it so it is a extremely good value.
