When my Beetle is working well, it's the best car ever!
I love my Bug. It's sporty, fun, and has personality. I hate that it needs repairs very often, but it's 18 years old so I guess it's not unusual. I enjoy watching people play Slug Bug when they see me, and the smiles my car elicits. It makes ME smile.

Very reliable and goes as well as the day I purchased it.
It is so old some sensors randomly start to flash. The starter motor is sometimes stuck. The plus of the is it is shape and gas consumption.

It is a gas saver and you can get about 32 miles on highway and about 23 in town.
This car has great gas mileages. It's a good car for people who need somethings smaller to drive or just starting out driving. It has good airflow in it. Seats open up nice and wide for back seat passengers to get in and out. It has heated seats. You can move the seat up and down if your a shorter person and need some height to be able to see out the windshield better you can make the seat go higher up or you can lower the seat. For the side of this car it has a pretty big truck.

It is adorable, but do not underestimate it! It can pack a punch on the highway
Its old so it runs really loud, and it currently has transmission issues. It does very well on gas, and it works well when traveling

Love my Volkswagen beetle! Do not look forward to having to replace it!
I love my bug! I bought it brand new. . . And continue to drive it every day! It has small problems. . . But for me it still is a great vehicle! The windows have had to have work done on them. They both got stuck going up and down. The trunk does not latch well. . . And has not for years.

Lemon car
I own a 2000 New Beetle GLX. I bought it 7 yrs. Ago. It had 47000 miles and was in great interior and exterior. It had a leak. VW mechanics couldn't find. Interior soak every rain. I finally with Youtube fix the leak. Now interior is dry rotting. Door handles, window buttons, etc. It's ridiculous! I hate my Beeltle!!

They last forever. Worth the money.
In 400 more miles it will have 300, 000 miles on it. Purrs like a kitten, great on gas and low maintenance. An extra 2 inches of arm room would be great though.

Very tough car. It seems to hold up pretty well.
Drives great. Do not have many problems with it. Good built car. It is a manual transmission so if it does not start a little push is all you need to get it going. My only complaint would probably be that parts are kind of expensive but they seems to last for a long time.

Volkswagen beetle manual diesel.
It is a really good running vehicle. Reliable has a lot of room. Does need the ac and heat fixed. All in all it is amazing. Great on gas. Its a diesel so it takes longer to burn gas. Easy maintenance. Smooth ride. Easy to shift. Six disc CD changer. The seats move up more than a usual two door to make it more convenient.

The joys (and hazards) of driving the Beatle.
Love my bug with a few exceptions that is. It is a lot roomier than the bugs of the past and a lot more comfortable in comparison however it has no room for your purse nor anything else other than seating. The room available in rear is not much and the drink holders in the front are basically unusable as they cannot hold any size other than a 12oz can and the rear has only one which cannot hold a large/extra large drink as it will tip and spill everywhere. The car has a lot of get up and go for a smaller engine but unfortunately it has an extreme amount of large blind spots making it not so enjoyable to drive.

Very safe, Volkswagens are highly rated in crash tests.
It is a reliable and dependable vehicle. Very safe and comfortable. I feel secure and in control when driving it. Maintenance can be hard. Money to fix because takes time with small front end.

How I cannot open my passenger door from the inside, and what to do about it.
The biggest problem is the door on the passenger side. It will not open from the inside because of an latch problem. I am not sure how to have it fixed and going to the dealer to do will cost a fortune. I have to roll down the window and then open the door from the outside which is a hassle.

2000 Volkswagen beetle hit or miss.
I actually live my car. I bought it used already 18 years old. I basically did a tune up. Fuel relay, fuel pump, spark plugs, spark plugs and wires, although, oddly, just today it broke down. It is looking as though it is a possible crankshaft or camshaft sensor. The problem is the way it breaks down could be dangerous. It acts as if it is not getting fuel and cut out on the highway. Hopefully it is what I think. My mother had a 2004 Volkswagen beetle and I did a lot of research on beetles. Hers was a complete lemon. And the makers if Volkswagen were caught in the biggest car scandal in history. Do your research. So far my car has been great but too much plastic not enough metal.

Beetle bug, an amazing starter car
It's a little old so it has its problems but it's an all great vehicle. It's reliable and very comfortable. It's a little outdated but very easy to change out radios. It's great for a learner. And it's very cute. It's spacious even though it looks so small.

I like the sun roof and the turbo. Its fast and reliable. I dislike the way it doesn't start sometimes. It does the job. The back seats fold down which is handy.

Overall for its size and look this beetle packs a punch.
This car has been through thick and thin. Going uphill and cruising car maneuvers and handles like a champ. Some issues I see is that since it is a European make some mechanical parts not in same spot. But if you like small and powerful you'd never go wrong with the beetle.

The 2000 beetle is very cute and easy to drive but difficult to work on.
I love my beetle, but it is hard to work on because of the compact engine layout. Whenever I need to get work done on my car, the entire front body needs to be taken off and it is sometimes difficult to find certain parts. It is also not very reliable, as it has broken down many times.

It has amazing sight lines, and is like driving in a bubble!
I really enjoy driving my bug, because it is basically half windows. The sight lines are amazing, and you essentially do not have a blind spot. I drive a 2000, and it is been very reliable thus far! I recently replaced the a few parts, but they were the original parts that came with the car 19 years ago! All in all, I would definitely buy another bug!

2000 VW beetle problems starting to arise after nineteen years.
My beetle requires me to occasionally fill the radiator water as I believe the is a small hole in one of the homes. I recently have become concerned about the transmission because after doing highway driving and back on surface streets it often misses or will not seem to get gas. Also I have had to replace the battery twice and last week needed a jump again after the car seat for only a week.

Volkswagen beetle- my favorite car! A great little car for first time drivers.
My bug engine tends to sputter very loudly, sounds like a go kart, good gas mileage however the engine is very loud and tends to rev in a concerning way. Very fast, stops and turns quickly, and is very cute! May be old but still runs well, my check engine light is always on but there is not a problem, that I have found, seems to be a recurring problem with Volkswagen unfortunately, however I would highly recommend.

It's yellow to begin with it also very comfortable to drive in and it is very fast to get me from point A to point B

You will have so much fun in this tiny car!
Love this car. Diesel engine gets great gas mileage. Much more roomy inside then one would think. Drives like a dream, turbo engine has lots of zippy zoom. Downside. Maintenance. Expensive to maintain. Needs regular maintenance. Uses synthetic oil. Timing belt is changed every 60,000 miles. That includes changing the water pump. $4-500.

It is hard to find parts for it.
I dislike the outdated stereo system that can only play CD's. I like its compactness, size, and unique look/shape. I dislike it is engineering because mechanics that understand it are hard to come by and only the VW dealership will even look at it when problems like the eps light turn on. I really hate that light because it slows down the car and its dangerous when it randomly comes on while driving in the middle of the roadway.

That it's very unique and special and should not be laughed at.
I love its unique shape and design. I dislike it's outdated sound system. I have complaints on its engineering, as it seems to be complicated for regular mechanics to figure out.

My vehicle is a Volkswagen beetle 2000. I love the sunroof and a little vase for the flower I also love the 6 disc CD changer. And I love being able to see everywhere. There's not very many blind spots.
It looks very small from the outside and fit in any parking spot. It's quite roomy on the inside. But there's not very much trunk space. And if you're in the backseat and have long legs and the person in the front seat has long legs there's no room. But I have young kids it works great

As it gets older more and more small problems are starting to occur.
I wish I had better gas mileage but I love how small it is and I can park it anywhere. I also wish it was a new make so that I could have Bluetooth.

I bought my Volkswagen beetle new in 2000. I love my bug! It was my first new car in 10 years. It is very dependable. It has a few problems.. But is a good car! I am planning on buying a new one in 2019! Looking forward to the new vehicle! Not the payments but the new bug!

They attract a lot of attention from VW Beetle lovers and they are fun to drive, even for tall people like me.
Although I love Volkswagen New Beetles, they are costly when it comes to repairs, such as replacing headlights. The layout under the hood makes it difficult for repairmen to do labor efficiently.

Seems larger than it looks
Very reliable, prone to rust and damage to rockets and bumpers. Really like how many miles to gallon it gets, great commuter car. No issues since I purchased it. Wish the rockers were easy to replace because of the rust damage. The back seat folds to allow for a lot of space which is surprising. Runs smooth and air works fantastic

It's the best car that I have ever driven even though it is 18 years old.
The biggest issue that I have with my car is electrical problems. The windows will sometimes get halfway up and than the buttons will not work right. Ill press up and they will go back down instead. The light does not always turn on when I open my door even though it is set to. My right headlight is dull no matter how new the bulb is. Other than that my car runs perfectly. It has never broken down or had any major issues.
The Volkswagen beetle is a very reliable vehicle. It will run forever. It has heated seats, power windows, power locks. It has a manual transmission. Large trunk. Lots of legroom. Very comfortable. It is an adorable car and everyone loves them. In my experience, the alternators can be faulty.

2000 Volkswagen beetle - super cute!
For positives, I really love how compact this car is and how well it does for me. It is a great way for my friends and I to get around and I always get compliments on it! For negatives, it looks nice on the outside but the inside coverings come off of the wall easily, most likely because it is so old. It is still a great car, though.

The blue VW beetle, ride in still and comfort.
It is a very reliable and safe car. Hard to do maintenance with small front end. Costs a lot of money because of the time things take to fix. Had to replace the radiator and the wholeness front end had to come apart. Rides a little low to the ground so speed bumps need to be taken slowly.

2000 Inchworm color Volkswagen beetle.
It performs really well. I like the sunroof. I like how I can fit my car into basically any space. The color is unique. The trunk can surprisingly hold a lot of groceries. Unfortunately it only has two doors, which can sometimes make having more than one passenger a challenge.
