I love my Routan amazing features for the kids and is reliable!

I love all of the features (2 TVs with a remote control and 2 headphones, leather seats, seat warmers, power windows and locks, shades, double sliding doors, touch screen, automatic rear door, and backup camera). I appreciate that the maintenance has not required expensive parts. It gets decent mileage and holds a good bit of gas. I have had to take it into the shop about 4 times a year, but everything has been minor (electric window broke, change cabin filter, new tire sensor, etc.). A lot of what needs to be done is maintenance. It drives smoothly and has floor storage. My kids and their friends always love the van!

Roomy!! Plenty of room for family and groceries!

Love my van! So roomy. Seats fold down easily. Plenty of room for family. Auto doors are amazing. DVD players great for the kids, along with the headphones. Plenty of cupholders which is great! I do wish the backup camera were brighter. It is really hard to see most times.

It is fun and easy to drive, you don't feel like you are driving a minivan!

I love how smooth it rides. I also really like all of the features it has that make life easier for me with two children. It is also great for road trips.

All around wondering family vehicle.

I do not recall any problems we have had with our vehicle, it has amazing gas mileage in town and on the highway. Extremely roomy for the entire family and even leftover space for items we want to bring with us on our travels. The air-conditioning works well, and the heating. It has individual vents for each person and it is very easy to control. It has DVD players, built in Bluetooth headphones, and a great stereo system in it. I absolutely love going on road trips in this vehicle. In the 10 years we have had it, we have only had to do small repairs, tires, brakes, and services. I highly recommend this vehicle for all families.

It has bells and whistles.

It is a very comfortable vehicle. Decent in gas. Sir works well. Very reliable. All the bells and whistles the seats folks into the floors and it had automatic doors. The only thing I would change is the tire size. They have 17's on them. That is unnecessary. 15's would have been much better.

2010 Volkswagen Routan. The 3rd row seats are a great addition!

I bought it in 2016. It is loaded with features. The heated seats are great in winter. The radiator did crack and had to be replaced. I also had to replace the water pump. It all seemed to have happened at the same time. After these breakdowns, it has ran fine ever since.

Great family and commuting vehicle.

The engine has overheated twice in the last year. It seems to have a leak in the radiator. My husband has been able to fix it himself, so it has not been a huge cost. Other than that it is a very reliable car. It has plenty of passenger seating and cargo space for my lifestyle.

Won't buy a Volkswagen again

VW vehicles always have a lot of issues, my vehicle has had one problem after another ever since we purchased it. Issues with the battery cables staying on, transmission, the TV's not working. Worst part is that every part is very expensive to replace

It is a used minivan that I needed to buy because we had a third child on the way. Nothing on it works perfectly, but it works well enough to get me to where I need to be. I will be replacing it as soon as I can

I bought it used and it has had nothing but problems. I have already replaced the transmission, oil pan, window latches, brakes, battery, and many other things on this minivan and I haven't even had it for a year yet.

VW Routan Black With leather seats and 2 screen dvd system

The dvd lost its power, and the a/c makes noises. Otherwise it's been a good car. It's comfortable and drives well.

It seats 7 people, through the third seat is really only roomy enough for kids.

It is clunky, hard to park, very hot (it's black), has light leather interior which stains easily and worst of all it has really awful gas mileage. A lot of things have gone wrong with it since I purchased it in 2014. Even though it only has 60,000 miles, it seems like every time I take it in for an oil change there is something costly wrong with it.

Engine.

As long as the engine is original Deutsche product, I recomand to every family. It is Volks Wagon( public van) however , most reutans have Chrysler engines, short life time, more trouble .

Overactive sensors, faulty ac design.

Constant ac breakdown. Since we've owned it, we've had to repair it every summer. It blows hot air in any setting. Repairs do not let it last for a whole summer. Planning on replacing it this year and not planning on going back to VW. Another issue has been gas cap. Sensor is overactive and shows as the gas cap loose. Repair shop wasn't a able to fix his Many other occasional small issues. Ready to move on to another minivan.

If you need a minivan, not a bad choice.

Repairs can be expensive - specifically speaking about the brakes/rotors. Pretty comfortable. No major repairs in the 9 years I have had the car. No backup camera and the car is big so backing up can be a challenge. I like the seat warmers. The leather seats could have held up better.

You can only take it to certain mechanics which limits your options when it needs to be repaired.

The general feel and feeling while driving is nice. Not too top heavy or bulky and I've grow. To like the backup cam and the push button open doors. My biggest dislike is it can only go to the foreign car mechanic and that when it gets cold the auto doors don't want to function correctly and even manually trying to open or close doors becomes difficult.

It has backup camera and 2 DVD players. Also built in GPS in dashboard with leather seats. Has heat up front seats when it's cold outside and step rail to get into vehicle. Solid black color paint on the outside.

It does not have quick take off when you press on gas. The ac takes little while to cool you down once turn on. Trunk space could be bigger for travel also no roof rack. Does not stop on a dime if you need to break quick to avoid a object.

Is The 2010 Volkswagen Routan A Good Car?

Yes. We have had a few issues with it, but for the most part it has been reliable. I have owned it for five years and have driven nearly 100,000 miles on it.

Yes. It gets good gas mileage at about 24 mpg. Plus it has a ton of space which is vital when you have two kids and travel a lot

How Reliable Is The 2010 Volkswagen Routan?

I am currently having a cluster panel malfunction, but overall it has been reliable. Weve also had to replace the compressor.

Yes it is reliable. We have only had it for 6 months but it’s been great to us! We have put a lot of miles on it already but it has held up well

Is The 2010 Volkswagen Routan A Good Value?

We paid $16000 for it five years ago. I think that was a good value. I do not know what the going rate on blue book would be. Ours is nearly ten years old now with 130,000 miles on it.

We bought this one used with 95,000 miles and we laid $7,000 for it. I felt that was a good deal because the Kelly Blue Book value was closer to $9,000
