Vehicle has automatic doors so you do not have to touch them to open them.

Minivan with automatic doors, heated seats, DVD player and a lot of space. Perfect for a big family. Seats fold down for extra storage in trunk and back seat. Seats are removable. Extra storage beneath seats. TVs with headphones and remotes. Air conditioning and heat in back seat and can be controlled by back seat passengers.

Very comfortable and reliable for families.

It is very reliable, haven’t had any issues. It has DVD players for the kids, and a back up camera which is wonderful. Overall a great family vehicle. I have not had any problems with it. Very comfortable. Plenty of room in the 3rd row even for older kids or adults.

Great van except for one costly, common issue.

About 60k miles in, we had some electrical and gas issues that kept the van from starting, required an expensive repair. We are told this is common with this model. Other than that, we love the automatic doors, the comfortable seats and the storage space.

I love the comfort and space of my Routan!

I love my Routan. It allows me to take my grandchildren with me comfortably and safely. I have had no mechanical problems other than routine maintenance. I am able to carry many loads of sports equipment, shopping bags and everything in between. I love my Routan!

It is a Chrysler engine not VW.

It is the perfect mom van. Drives great and is lasting well. The stow and go is hard to do, clips get stuck.

Perfect minivan for road trips.

It is a nice reliable van. Great size for my family. I had some issues with the car not starting but that has been fixed by a mechanic. I like the way it drives. The van drives very smooth on the road it is a perfect vehicle for a road trips. Love the seating and space.

Smooth efficient and great.

Smooth drive. The power is great and efficient. The gas does not cost that much and it is the perfect use for me. Highly recommend this car and great for long drive with the family. Got it little while back and maintenance is not too demanding. Dealership was really nice too.

All around great vehicle except for the fact it is a big gas hog and does not have the room a minivan should have.

The vehicle is a great starter vehicle but not a vehicle for long term use.

This vehicle has a Chrysler engine, and some transmissions issues. The vehicle is a great look but just does not equal value in my eyes. Performing has miles are not that great. Reliability has been ok just the transmission issues. It is comfortable and the features it does not have Bluetooth.

Lousy van

Good as far as space. Have had to many mechanical problems. From replacing transmission, whole computer system and more. Now it's the lifters. Everytime I have a $500.00 deductible! It's a big problem. I would not recommend to anyone. I'm selling it!

2011 Volkswagen Routan: an okay vehicle.

The vehicle runs fine, but I have constant issues with the alignment, brakes, and tires. It is a big boxy car and the turn radius is too wide and it is difficult to drive at times. It is comfortable to sit in, but it feels awkward at times to drive and is very high up.

My minivan is affordable and provides the necessary room for my family of five. I love the sliding doors and folding third row seats.

I had to replace the battery twice within the first two years of owning it. I like the captain seats in the front and the second row and the fold down third row seating as this provides plenty of room for our family. There is a whistling noise that happens when I'm on the highway and I believe it's from the caliper wearing down my brake pads which I've had to replace twice in this past year.

Great car, but probably better when it is newer.

I love the automation-- automatic windows, sliding doors, trunk. It is comfortable. It has a TV for the 2nd row and another one for the 3rd row. It has headphone jacks for the kids to listen to the TV in the back so it does not have to disrupt others. My particular car feels like a lemon though-- or maybe it is just falling apart because it is old and has over 100,000 miles. We bought it used with 110,000 miles. There are frequently major repairs that we have to make, things that are leaking, or things that are pending (I.E., soon they'll need to be replaced, but they're not that bad yet and I do not want to spend $2k yet to fix them).

The doors slide back with the push of a button, so parking close to other cars is not a problem. This also helps when I am carrying the baby in the car seat. Grocery pick-up is so easy with the auto raising rear door too.

I bought this car used from someone else. I like the features it offers for the price I paid (much less than brand new). We have had to fix a few things so far, but that is because it is already seven years old. I really love the auto doors (for my new baby), the temperature control for the front and rear, and how the seats fold down into the floor making room for my large dog.

Overall, it is a good van. A couple of mechanical issues.

We have had our VW Routan for 1.5 years. It is a smooth ride. The seats are comfortable for this class of vehicles. We did have the transmission go out shortly after 120k miles. We have also realized that the tire sensors are expensive to replace and difficult to tell which ones are not working. Overall, I like our van.

Yes! I really like all of the bells and whistles it has! I like that it is a VW brand, and it has plenty of room to suit my family. It also has 2 monitors so my kids can watch movies on long trips.
