How smooth it drives and rides. Out of all my vehicles I have driven this one has been my favorite. I will def. Get another.
The ease of driving the vehicle, it drives/rides smooth. Good gas mileage. Easy maintenance.

I love my Ford expedition el.
I love my Ford expedition. I have the extended version. I also have 4×4. The ride is very smooth. During the winter time is when I enjoy it most. I am able to pull myself through almost everything. My family and I love camping. We are able to grab all of our necessities and comfort items. My next vehicle will be another Ford expedition.

Great family car for those large families.
The expedition XLT is the perfect family car. It can fit all the kids and their gear. It is great for vacations too. It is large, it can carry everything. Wonderful engine performance. I went to the mountains, and zipped up the mountain. The interior is sleek and simple, and really works for my lifestyle.

This vehicle is the perfect family ride. There is so much room and storage!
I love how smooth it rides for such a big vehicle, and the space is amazing especially with having a baby and always on the go! I am not a fan of the gas mileage, I am used to getting g25-30 mpg but with a bigger vehicle and it being a v8 engine its to be expected. I have not found any problems with it so far other than the gas it drinks but that's not really a problem just more of a downside.

IT'S A RELIABLE VEHICLE TO DRIVE EVERYDAY
ITS LARGE ENOUGH FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY PLUS THE DOG. GAS MILEAGE ISN'T WHAT I WOULD LIKE.
accountCircle Linda E
Great family car. Very reliable.
It has third row seating. It is extremely comfortable. Leather seats, which makes clean up super easy. Gas mileage is not the greatest. I have never had really any major issues with it. Very reliable. Great for long road trips, plenty of room for family and luggage it had.
accountCircle Steven S
That it uses a lot of gas.
The only complaint would be the gas usage. I understand it is a large vehicle so I do not mind too much.

Negative Owner Reviews

accountCircle Chloe P
It is horrible and not a car anyone should have.
I have a 2004 Hyundai Santa fe and it is about to fall apart I have not ac at all. My wheel shakes when going over 50, my miles are about to reach 300, 000 which is way to much for a car. Everything is going wrong with it and I really just need a new car but I do not have the money to afford one right now.

Expedition: take it or leave it.
The vehicle tends to be back heavy which I would not recommend for driving up steep hills in the snow or ice. Also, the navigation system does not work well most of the time and has to be updated more frequently than most cars. The middle and back row ride like a truck, it make a horrible ride for someone who is prone to car sickness.
accountCircle Michelle C
Looks good on the outside but rough ride.
The navigation constantly needs updating. The seat heaters do not work and have not worked properly and the second and third row ride like a bumpy truck and not ideal for children or adults to easily become car sick. There is also not enough room for three car seats if you have a big family.

A tough, rugged car that is good for all terrains.
It is a reliable vehicle and I love all of the space I have. It is a pretty big vehicle so getting used to it took a little while. I love driving it in the winter because I feel safe in it. With all of the space I can travel and take road trips very easily.

Ford Expedition is a Gas Guzzler but fits a large family
I like sitting up high on the road. I also like that it uses flex fuel. I hate that it costs so much money to fill up with gas. I also hate that it has a bench seat in the middle and not captain seats.
accountCircle Tammy F
My husband loves it and he wouldn't trade it for nothing.
I like all the options it has I do not like how many miles it has. I like my vehicle. I have no complaints about my vehicle.
accountCircle Cheyenne Graham A
That the vehicle is very reliable.
I love that it has a lot of room, good family car but I hate that it takes up a lot of gas. Breaks down easy.

Transmission and computer issues
A lot of recent problems with transmission, computer sensors, and spark plugs. Vehicle hesitates around 2 rpm, then battery light comes on.

The best car for people who always have kids or people with them.
I love the expedition xl. My favorite feature is the keypad. The fact I can fit 8 adults with plenty of space is amazing. And the seats folding down flat is another favorite feature. I have put 155,000 miles and have had to replace minor things that are typical. Like a window motor, windshield wiper sensor, etc.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Rebecca G.

Seating for 7, navigation, hands-free calling, cooled and heated seats, driver and front passenger power seats, leather seats, second row captains seats, latch in second row, large cargo space behind 3rd row.

likeFilled Sigourney W.

Any Vehicle I purchased, I would prefer it to have heated leather seats and a nice sunroof that opens. I love the automatic closing and opening gate/trunk. I love the rear view camera it helps with backing up and seeing low.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Rebecca G.

Lower gas mileage, trade-in value is less than comparable vehicles, can be expensive buying new rather than used, safety and convenience features not as extensive as luxury brands, no latch in third row seats.

dislikeFilled Sigourney W.

I just wish I had heated seats. I am no sure if others models from this 2012 had them but the one my husband purchased didn't. And I want a sunroof for my kiddies to look up at. I also love wood grain interior.
