Not sure of an interesting detail beside what I previously wrote.
My Mazda cx-9 is a great size for a family or an individual. It is seats 7 comfortable and still has a bit of room behind the 3rd row for small suitcases, a stroller or foldable wagon, definitely plenty of space for storage when the 3rd row is down. Dual air conditioning controls in the front and another air conditioning control in the second row. Heated seats for the driver and front passenger. It has a nice Boise sound system, and a sunroof. It offers navigation and Bluetooth.

My vehicle is classy, family-oriented, and sporty.
It is a used vehicle with more than 114k miles. Body in great condition. I like the spacious interior and the three row seating. I like the moon roof and the rear privacy windows. I like the number of power outlets. Problems with front end, engine knocking, and brake noise.

Good performing car with enough storage space for weekend activities.
I inherited this car from my mom. I like the amount of room it has in the trunk when you put the last row of seats down. The car still allows 5 people to sit comfortably when the back row of seats are down. I did just move from Illinois to Colorado, and I can actually notice the performance difference in the engine due to the thinner air. Obviously not a huge concern for most people, but it was something I noticed.

Love this sporty third-row SUV!
This car drives really well, handles well, too. It has a lot of get up and go, when you hit the gas you get a treat! I have yet to have an issue with the engine, just routine oil changes and maintenance. It allows you to switch into manual mode when driving in bad weather, which is nice if your tires are not the best because this car has a lot of kick. It does slide around on ice if the tires are not good, but as soon as I bought new tires all issues were resolved. The comfort level inside is great, the driver's seat is fantastic with heated front seats. The stereo sounds really good, and I love the Bluetooth connectivity so I can change the song or answer calls while I am driving. The middle row collapses down easily and my kids are able to do it independently. The trunk space is small, but the third row folds down with just a pull of a lever to make the trunk huge. The only things I wish I had were a backup camera, push to start, and a sunroof, all things that are standard on newer cars.

Pleasantly surprising good vehicle.
Good reliable vehicle. Leather seats, 3rd row seats so plenty of room. Good mileage and haven't had any major mechanical issues. Heated seats, automatic windows, plenty of trunk room. Has FM/am radio, Bluetooth, and 6 disc CD player. Bose surround sound system.

It is extremely comfortable to drive.
I love my vehicle. The maker is very reliable and the car gets good ratings in places like consumer reports. It has seating for 7 which allows me to bring my entire family plus a few others. My only complaint is the gas mileage. It isn't the best but I think the new Mazda Cx-9's have fixed this issue.

Spacious, comfortable SUV.
The drivers side window sounds like it is open when driving on the highway. It is really loud. The third row of seats is nice to use and the cargo area is big. The radio sound is good and the Bluetooth and auxiliary work well with iPhones. It is comfortable to drive and ride in.

They should know about the third row seat. If you have family of 4 or more, it will come in handy
I love the third row seat in the car as it can fit up to 7 people which is really convenient, especially if we have family trip. The only thing I do not like is the gas mileage. It has a V6 engine, so it uses up a lot of gas and I think it gives only 17 miles per gallon of gas which is quite inefficient

The negative qualities of the Mazda cx-9.
This car is fairly reliable but I do not like how it handles in the rain and snow... The back fish tales a bit and I feel that it could hydroplane easily. The visor on the driver’s side started to lose its springing activity so I found that to be irritating being that it was only 4 years old at the time. The last thing that the back right passenger side has a broken sensor that makes the lights come on if you lean on the inside of the door.

I love the Mazda cx-9. It is a very spacious car with a very open cargo section. Each section row of seats is open freely. It has adjustable seats in the middle and front row. It comes with navigation so you never get lost. It also comes with a lot more cool features. It is reliable when it comes to maintenance, I do not have to get too much maintenance done.

It's perfect for traveling to the beach, but also allows expansion to the third row if needed.
It is practical, roomy, and a perfect size for travel. I have had very few problems with it, but the ones I have had have been very expensive to fix.

The tires regularly lose tire pressure which I don't like. With a car seat in the back it buts up against the front seats. Other than that, I love the space and how it drives.
It's small but you'll need a funnel to put in more window washer fluid, the opening is too far down.

The Mazda CX-9 is a wonderful, safe and reliable vehicle. The leather seats are heated in the front, and extremely comfortable on long car rides. My car is loaded with the sunroof, leather, heated seats and airbags all around. As long as you take care of the car, it will take care of you. Minimal maintenance; just routine oil changes, tire rotations etc. Excellent car and I will buy a newer version when I'm ready to buy.

3rd row seat is so nice we can put it down when we are not using it.
Brakes are squeaky when you back up. We have had to fix the driver window and something to do with the brake pads that were leaking brake fluid. We've also had to fix something with the transmission. I love how roomy this is and how well it drives. It's perfect for me and the kids. We bring the 3rd row up when we have extra people. I will for sure by another!

Third row is perfect for our family.
I absolutely love this car. The third row comes in so handy when we have a large group and then folds down so easily to give extra trunk space. I also love the way that it drives. I have had this for over 2 years and not had any mechanical issues at all. Would absolutely consider a Mazda again in the future.

The interior of the Mazda cx-9 is very nice. We have the black leather seats.
Our Mazda has been pretty reliable for the most part. We just drove it from ca to ne and it didn't give us any problems. The gas mileage was pretty good on that road trip as well. The only thing I do not like about the car is it does not have captains chairs in the middle seat.

It is a great car for families.
I like the blind spot alert and the reverse cam. It has a lot of room in seats and trunk. Besides regular maintenance, it has kept up well. The GPS is glitchy.

Solid as a rock, reliable, wife still loves it and will buy another.
Kept regular maintenance done, no real problems until it rolled over 127k. Only issue after that is transmission has started a tick. Does not do it all the time and has not affected performance. We still keep everything serviced and nothing else has developed. Wife has been happy with the SUV for its entire life.

Mazda cx-9 - superb family car.
My vehicle is very good on gas. It is very comfortable and roomie. It drives smoothly and picks up great when it has to. The second and third row of seats have the ability to go down, allowing extra space if you require extra cargo space. It is great family car. The second and third rows are excellent for soccer moms and the extra surprise passengers that might have to hitch a ride with you.

Mom car for a win, go buy it now!!
This is the perfect mom car. Fits 4 car seats with no problem and I was able to put my double stroller in the back. The air vents in the back seat help keep everyone cool and comfortable. Have a nice pick up and go motor and very smooth to drive. Low maintenance and easy cars I recommend it to everyone.

Pros and cons of 2014 Mazda cx 9.
It is noisy when driving on a highway. It sounds like the window is cracked open so road noise is loud. I like the rear view camera. It holds a lot in the back trunk area. The third row seats are fairly comfortable. The heated seats are great in the winter.

My Mazda is very helpful in getting me to work and school. Gas is pretty expensive, however, I have never had any engine problems. It's a very reliable car and the only problem I had with it was the ac. Other than that I recommend this car to others due to its reliability.
Good performance; third row seater allows for 7 passenger seating. With rear view monitor - makes it safe and easy to back-up especially in parallel parking.

My kids enjoy the DVD player. It is great for long drives across country. It keeps them entertained for hours on the road. I would also like to talk about maintenance; it just takes the required maintenance as does any vehicle. It is been great for me and my growing family of 5 now. We absolutely love it!

Good family car- would buy again.
I have a bad back and the fully adjustable electric seats with lumbar support are a lifesaver. This is our big vehicle and it has done a great job of being able to tow or haul most things we have wanted for projects or vacations. Both back seat rows fold down making for a lot of room to load home depot purchases etc. My daughter loves the rear ac controls.

My awesome Mazda cx-9 SUV.
This car is great! I have a family of 4 and this car gets us all where we need to be with plenty of space. We bought this car with us to help move our daughter into her dorm and it was great having all of that space! This car also fit a bunch of baseball and football equipment as well, it was easy to find a spot for everything. In all, this car was great!

Love this vehicle - it is roomy and nice. And it is so kid friendly. There is space for stuff in back for trips and stuff for kids to do while traveling. I will most likely buy a Mazda cx-9 again. I love third row seating and the DVD system and the fact I can hook up phone to car system.

Some minor issues but overall reliable car.
My headlights seem to go out every few months and the window now gets stuck. I have some issues with the limited choice of tires available for this vehicle as well. It's been a generally reliable vehicle but I feel there are certainly more reliable vehicles in the same price range.

Its automatic and manual. And only has 73500 miles for only being 4 years old.
When shifting from park to reverse and reverse to drive it shifts hard. Thinking it has something to do with the gear shift or the transmission. Gets 36 miles per gallon highway. Has 3rd row seating so very spacious, excellent family car. I got a customized sunroof originally cx 9 do not come with sunroofs. Hands free Bluetooth. Only has 73500 miles on it.

Blue is the best and here's why.
The navigation system needs work but the rest of the features are fantastic! I feel safe driving this car and the color cannot be beat. The maintenance on it isn't that big of a deal either. The car gets great gas mileage and has some umph when it comes to carrying moderately heavy loads. Drop the back seats and there's lots of room.

Amazing and reliable car.
This car is dependable, good gas mileage, and spacious. I love the sound system, Bose speakers. The leather is easy to clean and the heat warmer is a plus! The sunroof is easy to use and big enough to make a difference on the view. The heat/ac is great with the digital thermostat.

Comfortable, stylish, fits my family. Initially the car had problems with the muffler and it had to get replaced. For me I was lucky because it was under warranty. The car drives beautifully in all kinds of weather. I feel very safe in the car. The seat warmers are very nice. I love the car starter and hands free opening of the back door.

Problem with passenger front window not rolling up completely. Squeaky brakes. Otherwise everything else runs good. Fits five comfortably. Have taken it on several road trips. Pretty comfortable. Does not have a CD player, which I really miss but stereo works great. Good sound.

Good car for the value for our family!
Overall car reliability has been good. The only issue was that a fuel injector in one of the cylinders went at roughly 50000 miles. Pretty smooth ride with good amount of get up. The vehicle also has good cargo space. The AC for the rear of the car is also a nice perk.

It's a wonderful car. It is roomy..all the latest tech stuff and quiet...i love how much room it has inside as well. I find it easy to shop with and to go out to the theater..very versatile. Great to travel with.

I love how my car drives like a car and not like a large boxy SUV! What I dislike is how wide the doors swing out when open in terms of parking next to other cars in a parking lot. Otherwise the car is great! Leg room has a bit to be desired in the 3rd row but I expected that.

Great purchase for family that needs room.
We absolutely love our Cx-9. With dual air conditioning control in front for comfort of both front passengers. There is a plenty of legroom in the middle row and a good amount in the 3rd row also. Seats can lay down for extra cargo space if needed. Great buy for our family.

Feels like you are driving a car instead of a huge SUV.
Love how it drives like a car, very responsive steering. We love it as a family car and have room for all the strollers and bags. Wish the second row moved back further, not as much leg room now that kids are getting bigger.

Great stylish family car!
The cx-9 is a fantastic SUV! It drives like a car while still being large enough to hold up to 7 passengers. I have traveled with a car full and it maintains all driving features well. The sound system in the car is also great and connects to my phone easily and well. The seating is fairly spacious and comfortable. The only downside is the 3rd row can be a bit tight for an adult but not awful. My only real complaint about the car is how much space you need on either side to full open the doors. It can be tricky when trying to get children in and out of car seats. Great vehicle, I highly recommend for families!

Wonderful Mazda SUV! Perfect family car.
I have had no performance issues at all. This car is wonderful. It's so comfortable and spacious. The seats all fold down giving you plenty of room to store or move stuff as well. I love the Bose system and speakers in it. The sound quality is great. The back up camera is also a life saver.

I love how spacious my cx-9 is! The third row of seating really comes in handy! I find the driver seat one of the most comfortable I have ever driven in, and it does not hurt having heated seats during the colder months! The visibility around the entire vehicle is good, and having the back up system along with side view mirror indicators is extremely helpful.

Mazda cx-9 is a positive buy.
Performs great, the front windows come down a little low towards the windshield and I hit my head on the roof if not careful. I love the fact that it has a rear seat that can accommodate 2 adults or three kids for a total of 8 or 9 people. Also the length of this vehicle is long so if you need to transport large furniture of anything big all the rear seats fold down for a lot of room. I am disappointed that I do not have a GPS screen on my dashboard, that is something that I would look to get in the next car that I purchase. It has Bluetooth which I hope is a given in all cars now. The seats are extremely comfortable for short or long drives. The front seats also have seat heaters which you can control and which are a lifesaver in the winter. The air conditioner works very fast to cool things down too. Basically overall this is a great SUV type car. It is up high so visibility is really good which I like. I recommend this car to all.

Perfect family car- reliable and spacious
The CX-9 drives great! I have not had any issues with this vehicle. I love the option of having the 3rd row seating. Plenty of room for the whole family, and easy to put the seats up or down. I find the touch screen actually easier to use than a previous vehicle I had. The sound system is better also- it has a lot of power. The rear back up camera works great and is so necessary! I also like that the side mirrors tilt down when in reverse to make more visibility behind the vehicle. This is my family car I hope to keep for a long time. Comfortable enough for long trips and getting in and out.
