Comfortable, climbs like a mountain goat!

I like that it sits high enough that I have better vision of surroundings, yet not so high that it would be difficult to get in and out of without a ladder ☺, like most other SUVs! Love the cargo area. This model has the gizmo to secure the drivers side floor mat right where I want to put my left foot while I drive. My leg is too short for it reach the area under the dash. Also when it rains,( a lot in NW ), the back seats get wet when you open doors because of roof line. I have upholstery not leather seats, so not good. Also wish MPG was better around town. Wish you would offer electric hybrid for this model. Best of all is All Wheel Drive as we have extremely steep driveway!

My car is so comfortable, and so easy to drive that I love it!

My vehicle has very comfortable seats that you can drive in for hours, and it never feels that long. The radio and CD player sound awesome through our speakers, and I like that I can turn the volume up very loud. I haven't had one problem that has had to be fixed in an entire year! As long as you keep up with the oil / fluid changes, and tune-ups, the car will last forever! It sounds great when idling, and is a very smooth ride. I like how cute it is- I love station wagon type cars, but not SUVs because they use too much gas. Our car gets so many miles to the gallon that it is amazing, and we rarely have to go to the gas station. It speeds up quickly, and I really like driving it!

My car will always be a Subaru.

My 2007 outback has been a great car for the past ten years. The all wheel drive is perfect for mountain passes and icy, snowy roads conditions. The large back hatch is great for gear, road trips and camping with our dogs. In the past ten years, I have had very little go wrong with the vehicle. I did have leaky gaskets which were a problem in 2007 to 2014 outback models. Having the gasket repaired along with a few other common maintenance items like spark plugs, battery and belts, are virtually the only repairs I have had. I would recommend a Subaru outback to most people and plan on my next car being another outback.

The Subaru Outback ! A family car with a sports mode that keeps you on track.

The Subaru Outback costs me about $45.00 to fill it up with the premium gas. The car does have a jerk feeling while shifting from second to third gear. I have the automatic, and I am told that the jerk is normal. The rest of the gears are a smooth transition. In sports mode on the freeway the Rpm's are running about 2800. The car is roomy in the back seat with plenty of room in the far back for groceries. The car has a blind spot on the right side, be sure to look over your shoulder when changing lanes. Awesome car!

I enjoy my 2009 Subaru Outback.

I purchased this car second-hand from my mother. I love the smoothness of the ride, the fact that the seats are power adjusted - so much easier than pulling a lever and hoping to put it in the right place and shimmying to hear it click into place. My husband is not a very tall man (5'10") and he has issues with the passenger seat - he does not seem to have enough room. I also had issues getting rear-facing car seats to fit in the backseat without moving the seats up. I enjoy the leather heated seats and sunroof.

- Sara V

This car is comfortable, with space for everyone and everything.

My car is dependable and even though its getting old and has had some repairs due to the age of the car, I will buy the same kind of car again. The seats are heated in the front and are very comfortable. The car handles well in the snow and ice. The back seats are spacious and comfortable. Weather you are grocery shopping or packing up the family for a camping trip this car fits all your luggage and outside equipment. The car doesn't look very big but the inside will hold all your family's needs.

Subaru Outback the long lasting vehicle.

The Subaru Outback is a superior car. It's all wheel drive and very safe. The gas mileage is pretty average at about 26 miles per gallon and uses regular gas. The stereo and interior are high quality. The seats are comfortable. It's an attractive car. The seats are heated for chilly winter mornings. The dashboard is easy to see and operate. I feel safe during heavy rain and driving through all sorts of. Terrain. Subarus last a long time. In expect to get 100, 000 more miles out of Outback.

Best vehicle I have ever owned.

My Subaru is very comfortable. Have owned it for 10 years and only had to have it serviced once. The leather interior still looks new. I would highly recommend a Subaru to anyone. We have dogs and it accommodates them really well. I always feel safe in the Subaru no matter what the weather is. I have owned lots of other makes and models and this has by far been the best car. I feel it definitely has another 10 years in it. Only needs oil changes and tires changed for maintenance.

- Patricia M

It's extremely reliable, and drives well in snow, sleet and ice.

Even though I've owned new vehicles that I've really liked before, I had a period of two years that I drove an extremely rundown minivan. Although I bought this car used last year, it feels like a luxury vehicle. The driving is effortless. The Subaru 4-wheel drive is excellent in snow & ice. And, the prior owner put in really lovely Harman Kardon speakers. Plus it's got a great hatchback where I can fit lots of cargo, and fold down back seats to even expand that.

Switching to Subaru from Toyota.

I like that is a manual transmission. I have been disappointed that already I have had to replace the clutch and the rear brakes in less than a year of ownership. I like the roominess of the back. I have been able to put the seats down and haul a variety of things including my four dogs. I do not like that if I manually lock the doors, the car still beeps. I wish it would be quieter in that regard. I do sometimes feel it lacks power going up steep hills.

- Lynn L

Subaru outback, best of both worlds.

My Subaru is great. Tons of space I can even sleep in it comfortably with another person while camping. Mine has all wheel drive so it does very well in the snow. The car is a little loud I prefer a quiet car but the performance makes up for it. The seats could be a little more comfortable you cannot adjust them that much and adjusting is important. Very little issues with this vehicle perfect car for those that lead a normal life but love adventures.

- Siri G

Miles per gallon is not great, but the car drives excellently.

My Subaru has turned out to be a highly reliable and dependent vehicle. The engine and transmission are all working perfectly, even though the car is 13+ years old and has 200, 000 miles on it. The only issue I have is the low gas mileage, which I attribute to the age and wear on the car (avg ~19 mpg). It is great for transporting sports equipment (bikes, skis, etc. ) Which was a big selling point for me personally. I would highly recommend this car!

Subaru outback: the sports car of the utility wagon.

I love the room in this car. We can pack for a week long vacation for our family of 5 and still have room to put the family in the car too. It handles like a dream. I feel like a race car driver when I go around curves. It gets good gas mileage. In the 10 years we've had this car the only thing other than regular maintenance is redoing the ac. With regular maintenance this car will last until our youngest graduates from high school.

- Jennifer R

Jade car that is a 2009 Outback with few scratches and the guards that are black.

I first got my Subaru in April of this year, I had it for approximately three months before my whole engine broke down on me. So instead of getting an entirely new car, I had the engine replaced. It took about a month, and the cost was above $5, 000 u. S. Dollars. But I am in love with my beautiful car and it was worth it. However, now I am driving a car that I put $15, 000+, and According to many people it is not worth that much.

- Kelly C

Meets my needs but not worth the cost

I chose the Outback because it met my needs (AWD and storage) and because the brand has a reputation for being reliable. While I would prefer an SUV, the wagon has met my needs (I haul a lot). However, this is my 2nd Outback and both have NOT lived up to the reliability reputation! They both had a lot of serious problems and Subarus are VERY expensive to maintain! (They don't tell you that in their advertising!)

- Carol W

Not turbocharged therefore requires less maintenance.

My 2009 Subaru outback sport is very dependable; repair and maintenance costs since purchasing have been the lowest of all cars I have owned. The transmission is a four speed automatic, however, is does have a sport mode that allow for manual shifting up and down if desired. The air conditioning system is very efficient and cold. The onboard computer shows that I average between 27 and 29 miles per gallon always.

- Jeffery Y

I feel completely safe in my vehicle in all weather conditions.

This car has been extremely reliable. The only work I've had to put into it is normal maintenance and service. I originally bought this car because I wanted something that was good in snow. I feel extremely safe in the snow as well as normal weather conditions. There is plenty of room for storage and back seats fold down flat to make the trunk even bigger. When I buy another car I will buy another Subaru!

- Meredith B

2008 Subaru outback. Is it a lemon?

They recommend flushing and changing transmission fluid every 30, 000 miles. There is no transmission filter. We've had to change quite a few things in the past 16 months we've had it: tie rods, shocks, breaks, tires, just changed rear wheel bearings, and struts are going out right now. We've had a shake while stopping at stoplights, and in drive, when we put it in neutral it stops. I wouldn't buy again.

- Crystal H

My Subaru Outback gets me where I need to go in all weather and all conditions!

I love my Subaru! I live in Duluth, Minnesota, which is pretty much one big steep hill that's covered in ice and snow 75% of the year. And it's all wheel drive gets me back and forth year round! It doesn't have some of the bells and whistles I would look forward to in a new car - Bluetooth connectivity, a backup camera - but it's super reliable and I don't see myself switching it out anytime soon!

- Emma P

Wonderfully comfortable seat.

Safety is great, lots of features, handles well and great reliability. I have had many cars including Mercedes. This car handles as well as one. I have back problems. The Subaru seat is very comfortable with many adjustments. It also sits high enough to make it easy to get in and out of. Another feature I love is the washable rubber floor mats and liner in back. It is great for hauling plants.

- Betsy D

It is mine all mine all I have to do is treat her right and take care of her.

O love my car because it is very reliable, good on gas, nice size, not too small and not too big. Excellent for travel and most of all I like my sunroof in the summertime. Most cars break down and cost a lot of money to get fixed, I do not know too much about cars but I have always gotten good compliments on my car. It's bought and paid for so I do not have to worry about monthly payments.

- Charmin T

A reliable and exciting car to drive.

It's a good car, very reliable, and easy on gas. The seats could be a little more comfortable with the adjustments but all in all its decent. The performance and handling are exceptional. It has a compact disc player, Bluetooth, and satellite radio available. I would recommend this car to anyone with a family that is looking for a reliable vehicle, or even anyone with a love for traveling.

- Samantha S

Reliable and fun to drive.

Major problem was radiator blue. No other major problems. Car is easy to drive and handles extremely well on snow. I have the six-cylinder model, which requires the most expensive gasoline octane (usually 93). Holds three passengers in the rear seat comfortably. Great also for hauling cargo -- the rear seats are easy to fold down for more cargo space and are just as easy to fold back up.

- Bernard G

If you own a Subaru you will always want a Subaru. Nothing else will do!

This is our first Subaru and now we are Subaru fans! We love to go camping and everything fits comfortably in a Subaru. We came across a back road that was really muddy and our Subaru made it through with no problems. It is very comfortable to ride in. We have slept in the car when the campgrounds were too wet or buggy. We love our Subaru and do not get frustrated if it needs repairs.

- Mari C

The power to get you there.

I love my Subaru outback as I live in a very rural area with a 750 foot long driveway. We get a lot of bad weather here in Maine in the winter and the all wheel drive is what I need to get in and out of my driveway. In addition, it is great for dirt and or gravel roads. I kayak a lot in the summer and getting in and out of primitive roads around lakes and ponds is important to me.

- Sharon E

Subaru outback's are versatile and great for people who love outdoor activity.

My vehicle runs really well and has low mileage. It is very reliable. My vehicle has heated seats which adds to the comfort in the winter. It is all wheel drive and very versatile. Having my vehicle makes outdoor activities easier. I can put my bike on it or even rafts and snowboards. The only downside is the average mpg is about 20, so I spend a lot on gas for road trips.

- Cara S

Small car but enough space inside. Great on gas. Great design on the front.

I have been with this car for about a year. Bought it with low mileage, (93 thousand). It's really efficiently on gas and only repairs I have done on it are regular oil changes. It has plenty space inside for me and my 2 girls, it looks elegant on the inside and I love the way its design on the front. Out of 3 different cars I had so far has been the best for me.

- Gabriela N

It had heated seats which is great in cold . Weather.

Love my subaru. It is great in bad weather . It is comfortable roomy has plenty of room for everything when we go on vacation. We have had no major problems . Just have done routine maintenance tires oil changes belts etc. One thing that has happened is the heat shield is loose. This is a common problem with subaru's I believe. I recommend subaru's to all my friends.

- Carol A

I have a 4 car door blue Subaru.

I had this car for not even a year now and it already started to have problems. It keeps dying on me I took it to a dealership they said it would cost more to fix it then what I paid to buy the car. So nothing seems to work to try and fix it now. But everything is fine I like the room in the car just should of bought a different car one I could rely on.

- Anita H

4wd best thing about the car. Lots of space on the inside for things.

I have a had a lot of mechanical problems with it. The driving and 4 wheel drive is really good in the winter and on the snow but I have sunk a lot of money into repairs on it like over 4,000 and I just bought the car so that is pretty annoying for me personal. It drives good when it runs and I love everything that doesn't have to do with mechanics.

- Neil T

It has great room and is very versatile. A car for both the weekend warrior and the everyday outdoors (woman

I like the features and how easy it is to drive. It came at a great price and had very low wear and tare on it. I don't like that the head gasket fails in all Subaru outbacks. Additionally the year of this model seems to have other notable driving issues like phantom swaying - which make it feel like you don't have complete control of the vehicle.

- olivia f

Subaru legacy wagon has remarkable room for five passengers and lots of storage.

This vehicle is amazing. It has over 250 thousand miles on it? And yes I have replaced wheel bearings, struts, brakes. But the engine never fails to start. I drive it every day over a rock base, pothole covered road 10 miles every day. The performance is unsurpassed. I will not own any other make. Subaru is my lifetime choice. I love my Subaru.

2009 Subaru Outback Review

This vehicle gets great gas mileage and is very dependable. We have driven this car for 100k miles in town and long road trips. Have had to replace the water pump and timing belt at 100k as suggested by Subaru. Parts were very reasonable and car is easy to work on. Have replaced both rear wheel hubs again parts not expensive and easy to work on

- Kevin H

My vehicle is a trusted brand that lasts forever and retains it is value well.

I haven't had any problems besides usual maintenance, it seems safe, will last forever, and is so comfortable. I like how small it is for a wagon- it is a cute little car that speeds up quickly if needed. It has power everything, keys with a remote that locks and opens the doors and the back of the wagon. I like the rear windshield wipers.

- Jessica T

Great car for any activity.

Really reliable, even after an accident. My a/c stopped working and needed to have it serviced at 125k. It is super comfortable and versatile, I can take it on long car trips or just around town. I have transported my kayak, gone camping for weeks, slept in my car, taken my dogs to the beach. It is hard to clean under the seats, however.

- Phoebe Q

Camping with my Subaru made easy

This car is Super reliable, I have put a ton of miles on it and have had only basic problems. I love how much room it has for carrying camping gear during the summer. It is easy to clean. The mats make it easy to get dirt out of the back. My seats are fabric which is perfect for me. I clean them regularly with just carpet spot treatment.

- Taylor G

Perfect car for your outdoor lifestyle

I love my Subaru, it is perfect for my outdoor lifestyle with roof racks and easily cleanable floor mats. I love the heated leather seats and the dual control temperature. My favorite car feature is the large moonroof they stopped manufacturing. I would buy the same car again and again- but next time I think I want a manual shift.

- Laura M

Smooth driving, great brakes, steering is solid, love the seat warmers.

First time I have had a car that I actually like a lot and it drives very smoothly. It is fast and also has good brakes. Leather interior of the car is great and the seat warmers are a nice add on. Steering is solid and love having the extra room in the back of the car. Also has lots of space and places to put things I carry around.

- Zach B

cars - olds or new they all have differences but the same goal.

if I keep the maintenance up my car is very reliable and I love the strong metal. The saab is getting old and parts are not made anymore. Saab is heavy and drives smooth. I would love more current features but the safety ones I do have are outstanding. The seats are very comfortable and they have heat warmers with I totally love.

- Sarah G

Safety in bad weather conditions.

It is very comfortable to drive. Love the heated seats, side mirrors and back window. Lots of room for traveling. Does extremely well in the snow. Great gas mileage compared to my truck. No mechanics issues. Just preventative work such as filters, fluids etc. Regular wear and tear parts such as tires. Brakes, rotors, wipers, etc.

- Sherry S

It is dependable! It's starts up easily, every time. It engages all wheel drive whenever I need it. It simply is a dependable car.

I love the dependability of this car, the comfort, the ease of seeing all around the car, and the look of the car. There is plenty of room inside, for hauling groceries, luggage, etc. I also love the all wheel drive which allows me, easily, to drive up a steep driveway. I have no complaints and there is nothing that I dislike.

- Cyndi H

That my car is super cool, and that it is more than just a mom wagon.

I like all the space in the back, and how well it can go from city streets to country gravel roads. I always feel safe driving my family in it, and I know it will last a really long time! I dislike sitting in the back seats, they are uncomfortable for tall people, and I wish it also had seat cooling instead of just heated seats.

- Cara U

Spacious for the dogs! Great for the kids and dirt roads!

The head gaskets blew 7 days after I bought it. Once it hits over 100,000 miles this happens a lot in Subarus. I still love her though, smooth ride, spacious interior, cruise control, heated seats, fresh brakes, turns are a breeze and getting to speed on the freeway is no problem. She's super fast. I just wish she had a sunroof.

- Courtney D

My uninformed opinion of my vehicle.

Broke down several times, the battery constantly dies on me, makes me feel unsafe driving on the freeway. My seat warmer also does not work which really is unfortunate in the state of Montana. Additionally, it is not very spacious and it makes a weird noise when turning. I have driven over several road barriers accidentally.

- Sophia A

Awesome car, with some minor headaches.

I really like my Subaru. I did have to have the head gasket and axles replaced, which kind of sucked. Other than that, it has proven to be a very safe and reliable car. I am thinking about buying a new one to take advantage of the safety upgrades. The car does really good in the ice and snow, which is important where I live.

- Robert R

. Great little car that provides good looks with reliability and beauty,

Reliable, comfortable and convenient are the words I say best describe the car. It hugs the road, gets decent mileage and keeps going. My car crazy grandson loves driving it. Great car for dogs, kids and carrying stuff. I highly recommend for anyone who want a safe, study car to drive that does not empty their bank account.

- Elsa W

A beautiful metallic driving experience.

This car gives a very comfortable ride. It is good on gas mileage, is very solidly built and provides excellent safety features and reliable control. The car is equipped with driver and passenger-side airbags, radio/CD player, air conditioning and heated seats. I have never encountered performance problems with the outback.

- Susan G

My vehicle is a nice shade of blue with a shimmery hint. I love the roof rack!

I love my vehicle. It's comfortable, reliable and perfect for my family. I have two babies so it's great! The trunk space is perfect for the stroller, or groceries. There isn't anything that I don't love about my vehicle. Everyone (passengers) say that they feel nice, safe, and comfortable during the ride along every time.

- Diana K

Great when you live in the mountains.

I like that I can depend on it in any weather situation, especially because I drive in the mountains and on dirt roads a lot, and I get great gas mileage. My family has driven Subarus for a long time and I know the quality I am getting when driving one. The 2009 does not have as much clearance or luxury at the new models.

- Chelsea J

Reliable workhorse is a Subaru.

I have the moonroof, heated leather seats and the plastic floor cover for the back. It is all wheel drive which is fantastic. In the 9 years I have had it, I have 111, 000 miles and it has only had problems with needing new tires brakes and belts. It is a very reliable car that I plan on giving to my teenage daughter.

- Melinda S

The all wheel drive is great in the snow.

I absolutely love my Subaru! I live in a state that has harsh winters and my outback drives in the snow with ease. I have taken it on fun back roads and with Its great clearance it makes it a breeze. The car is very comfortable and a lot of fun to drive. I also love all the room in the back to haul whatever I need to.

- Jamie W

Outback outlasts the rest.

My vehicle often experiences routine maintenance issues. This has happened on a much more frequent basis with this vehicle than any other vehicle I have owned. However it has still been a reliable vehicles that gets me where I need to go. Lastly, I have heard a lot of positive things about my car's safety features.

- Austin A

Best purchase I ever made

Safe to drive, massive space, great quality, sturdy, reliable. When I was in an accident the car took little damage and was still fully functional. Excellent handling along with comfortable seating great for the whole family. You can also bring along pets and not worry about any problems with messy seats or stains.

- Angel B

Very reliable and rugged, but not great gas mileage or comfort.

It costs a lot for maintenance. Gas mileage isn't great. The car is loud at high speeds, which I've found with a lot of subarus, so much so that you can barely have a conversation with someone in the back seat without shouting. But it is reliable. The seat heaters are great. It's great in snow and on rough roads.

- Melissa D

Great car with easy to find parts

Very reliable, but now that it is at almost 200k miles is having some issues, which is expected with an old car. The parts are easy to find and pretty cheap door the most part. Because it is an older car it lacks features like Bluetooth, but it does have heated seats. It drives well and has been very reliable.

- Hannah D

Perfect vehicle for active lifestyle.

It's solid and reliable, but It could be better on gas efficiency. It's Comfortable to drive and has a lot of room. Great for active lifestyle where you need the space for activities such as sports, hiking, camping, etc. Lots of handy compartments, good ports for electronics such as charger, auxiliary cord.

- Ben D

2009 outback review on reliability.

I purchased this vehicle in 2015 with 124, 000 miles on it. I have not had to do much to it. I had the timing belt replaced and have had one recall concerning the air bag sensor. Other than routine maintenance synch as oil changes it has been very reliable. I hope to get several more years of use from it.

- Susan L

Great vehicle, long-lasting.

My car is very comfortable. I was originally looking to get a truck for my first vehicle because I do not like being super low to the ground, but when I drove my Subaru Outback I fell in love with it. It is not super low to the ground, and has decent space, but it is also small enough to easily maneuver.

- Amber L

2002 Subaru Outback Sport

It's a 2002 Subaru Outback Sport. It has been a good car for me. The only complaint is that when it gets really cold outside, I can smell gas. The stink is quite bad, my clothes smell of gas when I get out. I have to have the hoses tightened every fall. Other than that, it has been a good solid car.

- Joan B

Subaru outback 2009 to buy or not to buy?

The engine needs more power, it is an overall good car. Wouldn't buy again though, I think it's pretty ugly. All wheel drive is a big plus, but it wasn't my first choice of car so my answer is pretty biased. Oh and it has cloth seats which is a big bummer. Got it for like 8000 so not worth at all.

- Connor S

Good reliable vehicle that's great on safety, durability, longevity, and utility.

No real problems. Car is new to me. Love the trim, wish fuel economy was better. It only gets about 20 miles per gallon. But there is a screen that shows consumption based on your driving so it helps you drive more economically. I like the bronze color even though it is not the most popular color.

- Abby W

Wonderfully Reliable and Comfortable

I love the leather seats that are easy to clean. In the fifteen years I have had it, there have been very few problems and it has ridden very reliably. The heated seats and mirrors are wonderful in the winter. In fifteen years, I had one problem with the engine and one problem with the shocks.

- Laura N

2003 Subaru Outback review.

Good car, reliable and good gas mileage, had an overheating problem and got both head gaskets replaced, very comfortable and good car for road trips and also for driving long distances, nice leather interior and heated seats, decently fast, great car for students that need something reliable.

- Ashley P

Very good car for basically everything.

Very good it drives very well. The seats are very comfortable and has a pretty good radio. Don't have to refuel that much. Pretty decent storage capacity I've never ran out of space. Really my only problem with it is that the radio doesn't have Bluetooth capabilities. Yeah good, quality car.

- Mike S

Outback Subaru good performer, little maintenance, safe all extremely reliable.

My Subaru is reliable, few repairs and runs smoothly. Mileage could be a little better but for a 2006 model it performs well. My outback is a good performer in snow and all wheel drive makes driving safer the cost was fair in purchasing car used. The size and design provide adequate space.

- Bonnie E

The Outback is a very user-friendly car with great mileage and very good handling.

I like that my wife and I are comfortable in it, and that we can carry her wheelchair and other things at the same time. The car uses very little gas and had great mileage. The ride is very smooth and we enjoy going places in it. I dislike that we cannot add a carrier for her powerchair.

- Frank K

For a car, it has a ton of cargo space. Once you put the seats down, you can fit almost anything.

Our Subaru Outback has been a great little car. We really like how it's sits low to the ground, is 4 wheel drive, and has reasonably good gas mileage. The only issue we've had with it (which is common for the car), is that the head gasket blew, which ended up being a very costly expense.

- Nathan S

Subaru Outback- AWD - drives perfectly.

I love my Outback. It provides room for all of our camping, hiking, and softball needs. The leg room in the back seat could be a little more roomy, but for the most part, it's great. It is rugged, but drives smoothly. I love that it is AWD. It handles rain and snow perfectly.

- Tracy H

I feel safe while driving it especially after a collision with a deer and I was able to drive away.

I love how well it handles, especially around corners. I dislike that it is the lowest end model and I paid way too much for it, but the only thing I would really change would be to have the windows tinted. It withstood hitting a deer really well and the damage was not structural.

- Shan M

The reliable, durable, lovely Subaru.

I love my Subaru outback! This car has limited maintenance issues! It will run forever! I have had the car for 5 years and bought it used! This car has over two hundred thousand miles on it. I come from a long line of happy Subaru owners! This car is safe, reliable, and lovely!

- Hannah M

i guess they should know that it's utilitarian and sturdy.

this is my second outback and i love it. it's got lots of room for me to carry my art supplies (i am a traveling art teacher) my bicycles (i am an amateur bike racer) and my dog. can't go anywhere without my dog. for such a large vehicle it gets excellent gas mileage as well.

- rae f

The car having an aux and two places to charge a phone is super convenient.

The car is very convenient because it comes with features that make the car perfect. It only fits 5 but its wide so there's always room, a con is how fast I feel like the gas runs out. The seats are also very easy to adjust. Overall it's the first car I go to in my driveway.

- Gaby A

Why I will always drive a Subaru.

The AWD is fantastic when I have to head out early and we have 5+" of snow and the roads have not been plowed. Great on gas; good and smooth ride. Lots of room in the back to pick up large items at home depot to bring to the house. The back seats fold forward for extra room.

- Cynthia F

The reliable Subaru outback.

The vehicle runs pretty well and last a long time. These types of cars are good for long drives. They rarely have issues but when they do they are easy/inexpensive to fix. Plenty of space for five plus storage room in the back. These cars also have a respectable gas mileage.

- Sean B

Best car I have ever owned.

All around great car. Low maintenance. Great gas mileage. Inexpensive and easy to fix. Fun to drive. Looks great. Many options. Stereo sounds great. Interior is easy to clean. My dog fits well. Great in the snow. It is a very fast car. It is not very expensive on insurance.

- Jen G

other than minor problems, and needing to replace the engine - it is mostly a reliable car

have had electrical problems since the warranty ran out. The oil light didn't come on one time when it was low on oil and it blew the engine. have lots of little cosmetic problems with screws falling out. have to replace one headlight and one tail light almost yearly.

- deb h

Great cars with high expense repairs.

Reliable all wheel drive expensive than most on repairs however. drive shaft issues naturally without replaceable ball joints. Overpriced windshield wiper motors all parts are steep and imported which makes repairs rather costly for sure. On the upside it is Versatile.

- Tera S

The wonderful and comfortable Subaru car.

The car is really smooth driving, and the seats are very comfortable. The car is a really safe. Also, the car does not have many problems. If you like music playing in the car, the sound is wonderful. The only downside for me is the size of the car, it is really long.

- Jamie W

It is extremely reliable! I very rarely have it in the shop aside from regular maintenance.

I have always owned Subaru's and love them for their reliability and the number of years and miles they can handle. I love how safe my car is, it is easy to handle and is amazing in our winter weather. I do have a blindspot in it however, that is my only complaint.

- Janet C

There is great amount of storage space in the back.

Great vehicle for the ice and snow. A Subaru will go anywhere you need it to go. It is a very comfortable and functional vehicle. The Subaru is also reliable, good gas mileage and will last for many miles. I haven't found there to be any problems with this vehicle.

- Jill P

Outback review; electrical and breaks.

Brakes need frequency replacement and the suspension needs work often. Every now and then there is some noise that goes away after a while. Given the car is older, the brakes need to be pressed more than a new car. However, the electrical system still works well.

- Samantha T

Gets from point A to point B. Can move myself in just my car.

It is reliable. It has had some problems with oil leaks. At 100, 00 we had to have a $2000 fix which was annoying. But the car drives smooth and Subaru is always a helpful company. The all wheel drive helped while working in Colorado to get around bumpy roads.

- Erik S

No reason to describe it just drive one

It's a very good day to day car very little trouble and also a good value for the money. A quality car for a first time buyer. Just one test drive you'll be convinced about it. Very good quality interior roomy for kids or for adults traveling. Good gas mileage

- Mark K

My second Subaru - I love Subarus.

Good dependable car. Decent gas mileage. Does well in difficult driving conditions. I feel very safe in it. Carries a lot of stuff and I can sleep in it when I go camping. Solid mechanically. doesn't cost much to maintain, does not break down. I love Subarus.

- Deborah S

This is a good, car no problems.

My Subaru outback is great, it has good gas mileage a 26 mpg, and a single full tank can take me about maybe 100 miles. The only problems I have had with this car is a broken air compressor for an air conditioner, but I did get it used (it is a 2009 model).

- Matt F

Overall review of my Subaru Outback

It has Rust on the body and also the muffler, and exhaust, but other than that, not too many problems. Lots of room for the size, drives nice and is comfortable, It's a four cylinder so it could have kore pier but overall satisfied with the little car.

- Jill T

Does still seem like an old friend. Very reliable.

Cruise control light wont go off and motor light stays on and seats are no longer comfortable like they use to be. The ride is not as powerful as it also was in the past years. Wheels seem to slide when in the winter, and four wheel drive seems lacking.

- Carmen Z

AWD good in snow. Because of my region, I do buy snow tires.

My car is 13 years old, had some problems. But overall reliable. Contemplating a new car, it probably will be a Subaru. The 2006 does not have much leg room, understand the newer models are 4" longer which makes a difference. Wish I had tinted windows.

- Melanie S

Amazing car few leaks worth it

Car has an exhaust leak. Trunk leaks. Other than that it's a great car. I love my car it's comfortable and relaxing. We all love it very much. I don't know what else I can say about this car but it is great. I would get it again if I had the choice. I

- Jess V

It is my second Subaru for a reason. It is safe, reliable, and has lots of space to carry things in the back.

The Subaru has been reliable and I always feel safe driving it. Unfortunately, the pick up is poor. Merging on a freeway with everyone flying past at 70+ mile per hour or climbing a hill is a strain. My Subaru dealer, however, has always been polite.

- Margaret R

Great in the winter/snow.

My car is the only one that can make it up the driveway in the winter. Because of that my entire family has Subarus now. I will never own another make of car. It's very comfortable as well. Lots of space. Great for tailgating, and camping/sleeping in.

- Lindsay K

People should know that it's a great car to use for camping.

I like that I have a lot more trunk space than I previously had. It's also better on gas mileage. I like that it sits higher so I don't have to bend down as much to get into it. I don't like that it's more expensive to maintain than some other cars.

- Mary B

It lives up to its reputation as a great and reliable family vehicle good for travel and city driving.

Has been a reliable vehicle, with good gas mileage. Took off a star due to a manufacturing flaw that resulted in us having to replace the head gasket this year out of pocket. We plan to keep it until it dies, but the gasket issue was unpleasant.

- AME E

Four wheeled drives, heated seats, good space for storage.

I like that this car drives quietly, it has heating setting for the front passengers, the cloth material for the seating is soft. It has enough space in the back for a small picnic. Wish the gas tank is larger to fill it more for driving longer.

- Penny K

Snow performance Subaru Outback

My car receives good gas mileage and is reliable in snowy conditions. However, it does take quite a while to accelerate and that can be tricky when going onto a freeway. It is comfortable, particularly for people who are under 6' tall.

- lauren P

Not exciting, but in a good way. It does what you need it to do and does it well.

Likes, wagon- makes it easy to haul large objects and easy to load, AWD- it is Minnesota the AWD and extra ground clearance are useful, reliable- nuff said. Dislikes, wish it got better mileage (though it does get better than an SUV)

- Tom C

It is reliable and it is great for getting through rough terrain and weather

It is a very reliable car especially since we go out to hike a lot so all wheel terrain is good. It can actually store a lot of things in the back which is great for storing but it is olderand the seats are fabric and uncomfortable

- Liz l

Super snazzy Subaru outback.

I love how reliable it is. I know it will stay working for a long time. It has small issues with the motor, but that is an easy fix. It still runs like a champ! There's a lot of space, making it easy to use my car for road trips.

- Alexis H

Love my Subaru Outback, great car

I love this car! It has been reliable with little work needed to be done except for standard work every car has. I love the way it handles and drives. The only downside and why I did not give a 5 star rating is it lacks leg room.

- Kristina K

It's a very reliable car that gets you from point a to point t b without many issues.

I like that it's a reliable vehicle and gets me from point a to point b without much issue. I don't like that it's an older car and needs repairs. Gas can be a little pricey in this car as well and gas mileage is ok but not great

- Melissa L

It's a great car! Drive one and it will be all you want to own.

I love the stability on the road from the AWD. I really appreciate the mileage it gets even with the AWD. I don't have any complaints. It's been very reliable and required on routine maintenance and a couple minor repairs.

- Mary W

This is a good and reliable vehicle.

I really like my Subaru Outback. It was purchased as a used vehicle. It has had very little major issues and only some minor issues, which is to be expected with any consistently used vehicle. I would recommend to any buyer.

- Amber G

The subaru is a reliable vehicle and i am happy and satisfied that i own one.

I like how it look have lots of space and i love the storage in the back. The only thing i don't like is the manufacturer said it has an issue about the front passenger seat airbag being recalled that says need to replace.

- Emily F

The all wheel drive works very well.

The all wheel drive outback is a very nice vehicle for winter times in Montana. If is very good for travel as well. We have had it for about a year and love it. We would purchase another in the future if we had a chance.

- Gavin A

Drives like a car not an SUV

The 2009 Outback has a low profile and drives like a car, not an SUV or crossover. It's been a reliable vehicle with limited maintenance issues. The cabin is significantly louder (open wagon) than other similar vehicles

- Heather Z

Safe and reliable. Has all wheel drive.

I like how well it runs. Its reliable and safe. The seats are comfortable and the air conditioner works well. I like the 4wd.. I dislike the gas mileage. I dislike how quickly it heats up in the summer when parked..

- Dorothy M

Happy with my Subaru Outback

123k miles and no problems other than too many flat tires and standard maintenance. I don't like the cloth seats which show every stain including water spots. I would like air vents in the back where my dog sits.

- Terry S

Family friendly, safe and reliable! An awesome car for all your daily needs.

Love my Outback! Spacious enough for all our needs (including Costco runs and fitting the dog in the back), but still gets good gas mileage. Love how safe Subarus are, and we've had very few mechanical issues.

- Emily H

That it is all wheel drive and the way it was designed is completely unique compared to other all wheel drive cars.

I really have not had any problems with my car. It has been incredibly reliable and built with lots of thought put behind it. I love the all wheel drive and the fact I'll be driving this car when i have kids!

- cale n

It has all wheel drive so it is good for people living in snowy climates

It's very reliable, I have only had one issue other than routine maintenance--the wheel bearings on the passenger side have had to be replaced twice already. But mostly I love it, it goes great in the snow.

- Elizabeth R

The most important thing is that the amount of space that the car has.

I like that it is a hatchback. I like all of the space that it has for camping and other outdoor activities. I do not like that the vehicle is a 2007. It is still in great condition but just getting old.

- Shane O

It is safe and reliable. It also has lots of storage space

It feels very safe! I was rear ended once and the Subaru was not damaged at all but the car that hit me was. I bought it used and have put about 20,000 miles on it in a little over a year and no problems

- Rhonda K

It is great in bad weather.

It is great in the rain and snow. I like that it feels sturdy and solid. Even though it is older, it still has a tight fit around the windows and doors. There is really nothing that I dislike about it.

- George C

It is my car and if you borrow it you do not treat like its yours you treat her like she is mine

My car gets me to where i need to go and living in Pa. We get some terrible snow storms . I know my car will walk through it to deliver me and any passengers safely. I feel safe and secure in my car

- Margaret A

It is safe and reliable from a trustworthy company.

I love that it is 4 wheel drive. I feel safer driving in the harsh snowy winters here in minnesota. I love that it has minimal blind spots. The only things I dislike is I wish it had better mileage.

- Lydia P

This Car is Safe in crash tests. If you have a family, safety is paramount. At the end of the day, what could matter more than the precious lives of your passengers?

I like the safety of my vehicle. I do not like the size. I think it could be bigger. I like the way it handles when I drive. I do not like the fact that many parts of it are starting to break down.

- Lisa B

Why I love Subaru outback.

The seat is comfortable, the gas mileage is good, it is quiet, very reliable, and the safety is amazing. Subaru makes a great car. I have back issues and the seat is adjustable in many positions.

- Elizabeth D

Great handling in the snow. Great gas mileage is a plus!

The Subaru Outback has been a very reliable care for me and my family. I have done basic everyday maintenance to it and has been running strong. Will definitely be buying another in the future.

- David S

It goes great in the winter and It's been so dependable.

I love it. It has run great and has not cost me an arm an a leg to keep it up. I will definitely buy another one. Rides great and is fairly easy on gas. I really don't have any complaints.

- Victoria I

Great all around car for snow or traveling. Seems to go forever with only normal maintenance.

It goes everywhere. We lived in snow country on the hill and it was one of the few cars that could make it up the hill. It can pull a small trailer. It has enough room for us and our dogs

- Caro K

Best trunk space for all the Subarus.

Great in inclement weather, good trunk space. Average gas mileage. We've had to take into the shop a few times but only for minor repairs. Still need to get the airbag swapped out though.

- Cameron F

The vehicle works but not ideal

The vehicle is a 2005 Subaru Outback. It is outdated and has many problems fixed. Recently, new brakes, struts, and control arms were installed. My biggest annoyance is the lack of aux.

- Kim P

Do not get this car or you'll be sad. It's not what you will expect,

Its old. Its slow. It doesn't have a 2018 radio. It gets broken down easy. People make fun of my car and I just think the make is terrible it's a outback what will I do with this mess.

- Terry H

It is safe and convenient.

I love the gas mileage and the ability to drive long distances without needing more gas. I like that the car is safe and I have no concerns regarding my ability to navigate the roads.

- Kate E

AWD will not keep you on the road it will get you up hills.

Love the 2 Subarus I've owned. Run forever, lots of features and of course AWD I live in Vermont Dislike so expensive I bought mine used hi miles and still expensive I thought.

- Connie G

It is reliable, and worth the money. It is durable and comfortable and all around great.

I love my Subaru. It is the best car I've ever had. It is roomy and comfortable, and it has a lot of power. It can accelerate fast and gets decent gas mileage. I just love it.

- Rebecca R

It's great for hauling a kid and a dog. Two kids gets a little crowded.

I love that the vehicle has both a sunroof and a moonroof. I like the ample storage space in the back. I wish it had better gas mileage. And I wish it could fit three car seats.

- Gertrude B

This car is a great up north car, but it will have oil leaks

Love the all wheel drive. No problem getting through the snow or down forest service roads. I do not like that it leaks oil - a lot of oil. Theses repairs are expensive to fix.

- Sue l

My Subaru is very dependable & gets great gas mileage.

I love my Subaru. It is great on gas. It goes very well in the snow & mud. I have plenty of room for passengers and our things. The luggage rack on top is an added extra.

- Pam D

Subaru's are reliable, well-running cars that get you where you need to go.

My car has been maintenance free since I have owned it, except the odometer needed to be replaced. I've had new tires and that's about it. I have the oil changed regularly.

- Susie C

It is durable & reliable & a great size.

I appreciate the safety, the ease of maintenance. Also, Subaru is known for reliability so I am confident about keeping an older car that should last another few years.

- Chris C

The engine will last for over 200,000 miles as long as you maintain the engine.

I like that it is all wheel drive, easy to handle. Also has many safety features. Plus I love that many Subarus are great on gas and the engines last a very long time.

- Kristie S

The most important thing people should think about is that she's a hatchback, not a full van and not quite a car.

I honestly love my outback. She's been reliable while I've had her, good mileage, gets me where I need to go and I'm not worried about safety, overall just a nice car!

- Nate W

It works great in the snow, rain...any type of weather. And it saves me so much on gas as well.

i've never had any real problems with my vehicle. I keep it properly maintained and do all the recommended service when I can. This is my second Subaru and I love it!

- cyn z

2009 subaru outback 3.0 review.

This vehicle that I bought is one of the most practical and reliable vehicles that I have ever seen. It has the larger 3.0 engine which is amazing and super reliable.

- Joe H

The car is very reliable. Other than head gaskets, I've only needed to do normal maintenance on it.

Like: All wheel drive in the snow. I also love the seat warmers, and that it doesn't take very long to warm up in the winter. Poor head gaskets are my only complaint

- Stacet B

Perfect car for a commuting college student

This car is a very lucky make. It has gotten me out of a lot of jams and rarely has any problems. The car still runs very well even when there is a slight problem.

- Gavin E

It's always a mess! LOL! If you want to know the one thing I like best about the car, it would probably be the trunk space

Pretty reliable car. Big enough to accommodate me and my 2 kids. Trunk area is big enough for plenty of groceries, the kids karate or soccer equipment, or the dog

- rachel G

It will never let you down.

I like that it is cute and nimble. I feel safe driving it. It has never let me down. My main complaint is that the all-wheel drive results in so-so has mileage.

- Marty K

The vehicle is versatile.

4 wheel drive handles well in the snow. The vehicle required a head gasket replacement with less than 120,000 miles. The air conditioning is not very efficient.

- Linda R

It's a great all-weather vehicle. The AWD is good for the winter months, and also helps in the summer hiking and road trips.

I love that it is AWD and is good for the weather here. I also like the amount of cargo space when the seats are folded down. I don't have complaints so far!

- Shannon W

First car, totally love it.

I enjoy driving this Outback, very smooth ride. Great size, considering using it for a long cross-country drive since there's enough room to sleep in the back!

- Lena K

It is a sport model and very easy to drive have to watch your speed it is easy to go fast.

it is a wagon so i am able to carry items that i could not put in a trunk. I has a sunroof and is to drive. i am higher so able to see more in the distance.

- L b

That is has plenty of cargo room. It has heated seats. It handles well.

I love everything about it from the way it handles to the size and gas mileage. It drives great in the snow and rain. And I feel it is a safe car to drive.

- Monica J

Reliable Beginning Driver's Car

I love the car. It's very spacious and fits everything you could ever want to put in it. The brakes do tend to be a little soft after it sits for a while.

- Elizabeth A

They're very reliable, most of my friends own subarus agree.

I love my Subaru! Very reliable in the snow and rain. Haven't had any problems with it and I've owned for almost 2 years! My next car will be a Subaru!!

The Subaru Outback is the car for everyone. It's great for going on hiking trips, even if you want to bring your dog.

- Jack R

Easy to repair. A little bad on gas mileage. Would buy again
