This vehicle is basically Honda Pilot, rough riding except on on smooth road, not very economical average milage is about 17 to 18 miles per gallon and requires premium fuel. Transmissions have issues, V6 engine has 265 HP not enough for a 4,400 pound vehicle . But engine is good. Good for basic transportation.

Very reliable and no major issues as long as the car is maintained.
I like that the 3rd row collapses so there is more room for groceries. It also has an entertainment system so my kids can watch movies on long trips with headphones. We feel safer in an SUV.

I love my Acura mdx. The only problem that I am having with it is my four wheel drive constantly kicks on and where I live it's really not a need to use it. In the near future I wants to upgrade to a newer model. It's really roomie and I love the fact that it has a 3rd row seat.

Best SUV For College Students
This car is very reliable. It's gets me to my destination every time. I tend to always get an oil change every 5,000 miles. The key to this car is to keep up with the maintenance. I love how the interior and exterior looks. It's a nice car for someone who is in college and needs an upgrade from their high school start out car. Would really recommend to someone who likes SUVs.

Don't buy used without a good check over or great warranty!
I bought it used. It ran great for a month then found out it had a oil leak. Warranty fixed that but not the reason for the leak! A year later we had to have a whe new transmission put in and the car still doesn't run right.

I'd like more space in the 3rd row.also would like the center to fold forward to be able to get in the back instead of removing car seats to bend the bench. Have a vent in the 3rd row to cool car faster.

Comfort and reliability in a handsome package.
My mdx has been a great vehicle. My preference has generally been for a domestic vehicle, but this Honda / Acura has all the bells and plush whistles which I demand and love! The only thing that surprised me was less than stellar gas mileage, totally unexpected in a Honda product. The overall unsurpassed reliability more than made up for the tepid has mileage. Would I do it again? Yes indeed!

Only takes premium gas, ouch!
The car is great. It has almost 300,000 miles on it and still runs like a champ. Put up well in a rear ending accident too. Only drawback is it only takes premium which can really hurt the wallet. Smooth brakes and driving. Wheel covering gave our easy but that's a quick and cheap fix

Trusty car, expensive repairs.
As it ages parts are expensive, mainly the navigation. I've looked into replacing it but at this point with the number of miles it isn't worth it to replace it. I also wish the third row left more space for the trunk as it is difficult with kids to use the row and have space for shopping.

DVD player and navigation
Transmission problem. It slips back into neutral. Has a big dent in the back of the hatch. Backup camera don't work. The navigation needs updated. It definitely needs work done on it. I love the vehicle. I don't want to sell my vehicle. It has a DVD player it works when it wants to.

Why not to buy an Acura mdx.
I just replaced the power steering pump. After that I replaced all six spark plugs, and coil packs, as well as the pcv valve. It said that all six cylinders were misfiring at once. It idles rough and there is still a bounce. There is still a need to put the car in drive 4 in order to avoid problems.

This line seems to have problems with the rear handle breaking, simple cheap repair. Other than that my car has 250000+ miles and still going strong. Heated seats up front and separate heating/ac Iain the back. Third row seats and extra holders and a plug in each row.

Reliable, luxurious family SUV that does not cost an arm and a leg to maintain.
My car is extremely comfortable, reliable, and beautiful inside and out. Maintenance costs and parts are extremely affordable. It offers a luxurious drive and ample interior storage space. Features like the back up camera and tpms add to my feeling of security as a vehicle owner. The car is 15 years old, and still drives and looks brand new. With regular maintenance this car has given me almost zero issues, it is extremely reliable. And my family of 6 loves it for road trips! I appreciate that all four of the rear seats fold flat, for times when I need to move large items. Also that the rear seat folds down in sections instead of as one, for times when I need to have space for a passenger in the rear but also need to transport a large item. And it is an all-around beautiful vehicle. Gets great gas mileage as well! Surprisingly large interior, but is small enough on the exterior that parking and driving in tight spaces is still a breeze. I will always drive an mdx.

My Acura mdx vehicle that I love.
Only problem I have had since I got it seven months ago is the radiator busted and the transmission fluid went into the radiator and the antifreeze went into the transmission and cause it to slip really bad. Had to put a new radiator on and flush the transmission lines and change the filter.

There are 3 different drive controls. Eco, sport and normal.
It drives smooth. Lots of space. Ability to lower back row of seats. Uses a lot of gas. Great for family trips or big grocery days.

Overall it is a great car. Very comfortable and roomy.
I love my mdx, it is a great size and had extra things like tow hitch & roof rack. It's great for city driving and rougher terrain. I can take it camping in the woods, or parallel park it has n the city. One thing I do not like is that little parts of it fall apart after a while? Plastic pieces, and the Navi system failed after a few years, but is $400 to have sent away and tested. Also, transmission issues are common. I am on my second transmission- the first was replaced under warranty, and the second one is going bad earlier than the first.

Spacious reliable family car!
The performance on this vehicle has up to standards thus far. It has been reliable in the 60,000 miles I have driven it since owning the car. Very spacious vehicle with easy to fold down two row seating. My only concern/complaint is the brake pads seem to stick easily. Have had them checked, nothing wrong with them but they do feel sticky every once in a while. Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoy this vehicle.

Pros and Cons of the Acura MDX
The Acura MDX is for the most part a great car. Some of the pros are: The spaciousness, comfort, the reliability. This vehicle has plenty of space to transport pretty much anything you need with the interior cargo space and a nice space for roof cargo too. It can comfortably seat 6 people, and 7 if necessary. However, this vehicle has some cons as well. The gas mileage is compromised for all the other features. Being an SUV, it doesn't get the gas mileage of smaller cars. It also requires premium gas, which can get a little pricey. If you have the nav system, beware. The nav system in this particular year model is known to have problems.

Nice size for a family. Has a TV in it
Grinding when pushing on gas. Left side doors won't open. Driver side only opens from the inside. Door and window behind drivers seat don't work at all. The two seats in the back are stuck. The GPS isn't working anymore. Says something is wrong with the disc. A/C doesn't work. There's a leak somewhere there. Also a leak in the wipers tank where the liquid goes.

Pros & cons of the 2004 acura mdx.
The struts go out fast. A very dependable and spacious vehicle, great for a family of four or more. Navigation is good but not current. Better to get it updated in my opinion. Very good fluid wise but also good to still get updates to be on the safe side. A reliable source of transportation for the single mom family and if kids are in sports. Great for carrying car seats ability as well.

I will drive the green monster for another 5 yrs. I will trade in for VW SUV.
The only problem I have is my back windows are taped up because they quit working and have not had the money to fix them. I just had work done to make it run better, that cost me big. It runs like it did when we bought it. I should get another 100,000 miles on the green monster.

I bought this vehicle used in the year 2015 and this vehicle has never given me any problems besides normal wear and tear maintenance upkeep. Very reliable vehicle only needing to do regular oil changes tune ups. Flushed the transmission oil only once.

Best vehicle for families!
My Acura is the most reliable car I have ever had. It is the first time I have kept a car for over ten years. I have 3 kids and never wanted a minivan. It seats 7 so plenty of room. It has all the extras, heated seats is probably my favorite and the Bose stereo. I have only had to do regular maintenance and I have a 158, 000 miles on it and it still runs amazing. I live in Minnesota so the roads can be really bad in the winter and this vehicle is so easy to drive on bad roads. I feel like it is one of the safest vehicles for families in my opinion. I will definitely be buying another one when I have too. One of the things I love is that the kids have their own controls for heat and air conditioning in the back. So if I am hot while I am driving and they're cold they can turn their air off in the back and also has so many drink holders which not a lot of vehicles have enough of with bigger families. If you need a lot of trunk space you can just put the third row down and you have so much space I rarely ever need to borrow a truck for purchasing bigger items. They also have storage racks on top. Just all around a great vehicle and mine is 14 years old now and still looks so nice!

My thoughts of the 2004 mdx.
I love how comfortable the car is. I love how the trunk space is so big, but also has another row of seats for more passengers. Even though you can fit more people, the car is not too big. The one thing I am not fond of, is the digitizer for the screen in the car started to have a spot and that seems to be kind of common.

I love the size, reliability, sound system. It is comfortable, plenty of seating and space in the back for every activity. I like that it is automatic, and has a built in GPS system although it needs to be updated. Gas mileage is too expensive however.

I highly recommend buying Acura MDX.
It's a 2004 vehicle and it works really great. It's very reliable and I don't have any problems on it. The GPS is a good feature and backing up is another good thing so you can see if there are hazards on the road. This is the first Acura vehicle I own and If I decided to buy another vehicle I won't hesitate buying the same make and model again.

The car rides like a dream and has great acceleration. However the parts in the interior do not last as long as my Honda did.
Though the vehicle is very comfortable, the issues that I have had over the past few years have been with the quality of the seat leather and with the steering wheel being sticky.

Reasons why I love my Acura.
No problems, very reliable. I get great gas mileage, and my seats are incredibly comfortable. I feel safe driving my daughter around in this car. Perfect for road trips with three row seats and seat warmers. Oil changes every 4000 miles and she has run like a charm. I have had no mechanical issues.

2004 Mdx: the vehicle that keeps giving and maintains a modern look and feel.
Known transmission problems in some vehicles. This vehicle is reliable. Nearly 200k miles. Minimal mechanical repairs have been needed aside from regular maintenance. The comfortability of the ride and the interior has held up with the ages. Engine performance and power is near the same as when it was new.

Perfect size SUV for an active single senior citizen
A wonderful vehicle, it has a GPS built in which was a great help when I relocated to a new state. I really have only two complaints; the driver door must be opened before I can release the lever to open the gas cap, and the mileage good be better. It has been the perfect size, a small SUV, for me, I go camping and hiking and take road trip. It holds all of my equipment and luggage easily.

Relentless in the snow and a maintenance dream vehicle.
The performance of my Acura mdx has been outstanding especially during the snow season as we live on a steep hill and the mdx makes it with no problems. Likewise the brakes have also been outstanding as we have only had to have them replaced once in 130, 000 miles!

I have had no problems whatsoever. Absolutely love it! It is great on gas, comfortable seats, has a safety harness for my daughters car seat as well. I have had no issues with the transmission or motor, oil changes are not expensive either. I really cannot complain the car has turned out to be amazing.
