This is a HUGE car! I have a really hard time parking it because of how wide it is and how the wheels don't do tight turns very well. The amenities are fine, typical of the ones you'd find in any luxury vehicle, really. I especially like all the various information you can get from the computerized components (where the mileage is). You can find out how many miles are left in your tank, what your average miles per gallon are, etc.

Buick Enclave Quick Pro and Con
The car is very reliable and strong. I was in an accident one time and the chassis proved to be very strong and the safety features saved me from any injury. The transmission is a little worry some, due to the fact that it jumps or jolts when shifting from 2nd to 3rd. I read this could be fixed by taking it to the dealer and letting them install new software though.

Great family car with flexible cargo space. Easy to drive and park.
It is a great size for traveling with family and the seats fold easily for times when you need more cargo space. It gets decent gas mileage,however, that could be better. It has done well with the tons of miles we have put on it.

Still running beautifully with an even more beautiful inside!
I bought this car used, and even though it had been previously owned it has been amazing! I love the size, plenty of room for my stroller, traveling swing, and any really! The sunroof and moonroof just add to the beauty of the car. The TV in the back will be very beneficial when my baby is old enough to watch it! Also the ability to control the A/C or heat in the back and front separately is a huge plus. Not the mention the sound system! Bose speakers throughout make any trip, no matter how long or short a good time! Especially with the option to have an aux cord connected, or listen to the radio! Comfort in this car is easily achieved. With electric seats I can move easily to where I feel comfortable, and also have the option for heat on my back and seat or just on my back. With adjustable heat temperature settings as well. As someone who struggles with back problems I definitely rely on this in the mornings! I have not had any problems with the performance of the car, or anything for that matter. The car has been extremely reliable even though being previously owned and being now over 10 years old. It's running like a champ!

If you have a family, it's a spacious vehicle and very comfortable.
Overall comfort and performance is good. Lots of space for the kids. Fuel economy is subpar, and repairs are rather expensive.

Great midsize family SUV with nice interior
This is a very reliable vehicle. It has plenty of leg room and interior room even in the back seats. I'm 5'5' and I can sit comfortably. The torque lacks a bit when backing up like over a raised driveway or other area but will do so with decent gas applied. Has pretty decent horsepower and will get up and go decently fast. Overall a good car and decent cargo room for groceries or other bags etc

Buick enclave/reliability that can't be matched.
The enclave has been very reliable for 10 years now. I love all of the many features from sunroof, maps, DVD player and more. It is comfortable for our large family of 7. We have only recently experienced issues with the power steering, but with the age of the vehicle and mileage it has been wonderful.

Beautiful car! Awesome interior tons of bells and whistles but in all honesty not worth the price to many problems
Had trans replaced 123,000 miles. The drain tubes for sunroof clog easy so leaks into car. Rear sunroof a lot of 2008 2009 models were not sealed properly so they leak into car also. Replaced throttle body 110,000 had power steering return hose go bad had to replace. The gas mileage for 2wd is same as awd so my as well get awd.

The seats are super comfortable and wear really well.
Ever electronics has needed to be replaced. Two seats motors went and had to be replaced. Parts are a ton more. Sensors are always going off and needing to be replaced or just taken out. Speaker blow for no reason and do not sound loud or clear whatsoever.

My beautiful Buick enclave!
My Buick enclave is spacious and comfortable with third row seating that allows me to bring 6 other people along for the ride. It is a nice looking interior with faux wood and leather accents on the dash and steering wheel. Heated leather sweats that power adjust for a comfortable ride. There are airbags throughout the car offering for better safety. A sun and moon roof with shade covers that keep the car cool. Slightly tinted windows give some privacy. Sliding center console with two cup holders and automatic shift on the console that also offers standard shift options when car is in low. This is helpful in slippery road conditions. There is plenty of legroom. The car is sharp looking with chrome accents and luggage rack.

Pay attention to the gear shift, slides in and out of place easily.

2008 Buick Enclave honest review.
I bought this vehicle with 150,000 miles on it. I've had to replace the transmission within 1 month of purchasing it. I've had a fair amount of problems with it. I do like the space and size of it. It's good for my family of 5 and I like that it's all wheel drive.

Vehicle failures: steering and catalytic converter
At 157,000 miles vehicle had steering and catalytic converter failures. Over $2000 in services to fix the problems. Mechanic suggested to only do synthetic oil change and watch for timing chain failure. No DVD player, backup camera, or other fancy devices.

Enclave has all the bells and whistles and comfort on long trips.
Very comfortable ride, very attractive, third row seating. Negative is that the transmission had to be replaced at. 60, 000 +/- and I had to fight with general motors who finally reimbursed me for the cost of $4, 000. It is the perfect vehicle if you have kids who are into all sorts of activities.

It is the cxl loaded model.
Its reliable and comfortable it does need rear brake pads and wipers replaced. It's the cxl model with all the feature except moonroof and DVD player. It seats 7 people. It is beige exterior with beige leather interior. It features XM radio but no Bluetooth.

The best family SUV on the road! It is a luxurious automobile!
No major problems. It is ten years old and besides replacing brakes and oil changes the only major expense was struts. The front and rear had to be replaced. I have a sunroof, a moon roof and satellite radio. I also have seating for myself plus my six grandchildren. It is my dream vehicle!

If I had to do it over I would buy another one.
Transmission, water pump replaced covered under warranty. This vehicle is very quiet, you can barely hear the engine running. We have driven to the east coast several times and to the gulf coast several time it has over 150, 000 miles on it and is still going strong. The second water pump was replace in October of 2018 this seems to be a problem with this model. We have never gotten more than 21 miles to the gallon. The heated seats are nice the cabin finishes are very pleasing I would purchase another one if I wasn't retired, the vehicle seems to be a little pricey.

A pretty good car that is reliable.
My car is fairly reliable and has lasted a while. There are parts of the interior that are falling apart though. For example, my rear view mirror practically melted off. But overall it is a good car and runs really well.

Long lasting and great car.
After 11 years the sensors are becoming a problem but nothing that cannot be fixed. The leather interior has held up well. Minimal discoloration from the years of travel. The plastic panel covering around the base of the rear seats have snapped and broken off but nothing other than a cosmetic issue.

Buick enclave pros and cons.
I like my car because it has a lot of room and leather seats. What I do not like about my car is that it has a very small trunk space, I am having problems with the tailgate it will not stay up after it was supposed to be fixed already. I am also having problems with shocks and/or springs.

The rust on the bottom is a huge interesting detail
The car air doesn't work if you're stopped for too long it overheats all the time. It's has a lot of miles and drives decent for the amount. Cheap on gas and is okay for a first car. Good for driving short distances not far depending on the condition of the car.

Overall Buick Enclave is a great vehicle.
Power steering wheel and pump have been a problem. Also transmission is a problem I've had it for 5 yrs. Bought it from older couple and all I have done to it is keep oil changed recently got new tires but haven't had major problems until recently but it's about time now.

I love my Enclave, it performs very well, with no problems yet. I does have a leak in the moon roof. We have to clean holes out. It is very comfortable, seat go down and make 7 when needed. My Buick enclave is a solid, safe feeling car.
I wish the mileage was better, but I feel safer in it than I would in a smaller car and it handles well in rain and snow conditions. The space and access to storage space are very good. I like how the back seats can be laid flat. The spare tire is hokey.

Luxury without the price tag.
Very good and reliable vehicle, only issue has been a leaky sunroof. Fixed easily by cleaning out the drain hoses. Has many features that make it feel like luxury but without the luxury price. Nice leather seats with heat and power adjustments. Plenty of room for our family of 5 and luggage.

Buick Enclave third row seating.
I have 3 kids, and we needed the extra space for car seats. I love having 3 rows, it also comes with a DVD player system, which helps when the kids get fussy or when we are traveling. We have plenty of space when grocery shopping. It has heated seats, navigation, Sirius xm, powered windows, the. Side mirrors fold in with a push of a button (such as pulling into an ATM you want to fold in windows) etc.. I love having leather seats as well easy to wipe off.

The interesting thing is it alerts you for every little thing.
When I first bought the car used I only drove the car about a week and the check engine light came on. Coming to find out there was a clog in the tubes that is supposed to drain and the water was getting trapped I was wondering why every morning the driver side rug was soaking wet. I had to have the car shipped out to the dealer and there they blew out the tubes and lots of water came out. So that was not a good time.

2008 buick enclave . Its overall a great buy.
It's great, comfortable for the family but had issues with wobbling under front end. My husband has replaced whole front end and we've had it aligned several times but still have issues. Also transmission work yas had to be done. The inside is very spacious. Holds 7 people comfortably and its luxurious vehicle.

Great car besides the known problems that should be fixed by GM
The power steering is a big problem. It has gone out twice. It should have been a recall but instead it was a service bulletin that only someone that searches for services bulletin would see. Water pumps are notoriously bad on these cars as mine went out too. When the shocks are good, the car is very smooth to drive and ride in. There is plenary of room for eight people. The racks on top of the car should come standard.

The Buick enclave is a very comfortable vehicle, and the interior and exterior styling is really nice too. The biggest problem with the Buick is that you cannot do any of the maintenance yourself, and the need for major repairs seems to be a regular occurrence.

I love that I can fit my whole family on one vehicle! I wish I'd of gotten Therese bucket seats instead of bench seats...

Fit a lot of people, comfortable to drive, also probably would not die if got hit.
It is pretty old so the wheel bearings go a lot and the battery stopped working because it was corroded. Also the wiring is off a little so it always has the traction control light and abs light on even if it is not an issue. Also the automatic door gets stuck because the wiring is off and I have to wrestle with it to get it to stop dinging.

2008 Buick Enclave; very nice vehicle
I am very happy with the 2008 Buick Enclave. I have had very few problems as far as maintenance. Factory DVD player is not reliable; it does not always play DVDs. The sound system is excellent. The interior is very comfortable for grown adults in all seats.
