Comfy and reliable Yukon xl.
I love the heated seats and all the room it has. I wish the third seat was a bit bigger but the power tailgate and seats are great. We rarely have to get it fixed. Holds our large family very comfortably. I wish it got better gas mileage and rose more like a car rather than a truck but overall we love the car.

I love all the different options for the driver.
My vehicle is wonderful. I love how high up that it sits. I feel safe driving my children around in it through high traffic areas. I enjoy the ability to have so many settings for the driver. Being able to move the pedals closer is amazing and I do not feel so close to the steering wheel. My children love the space they have in the back area.

2012 GMC Yukon is an amazing vehicle.
I love all the great features the truck comes with like the heated and cooling seats, remote start, TV for passengers, temperature control for passengers and the rear view camera. It does lack Bluetooth but has a USB connection. Needs more USB connections. It's a good looking vehicle. I get compliments all the time.

A SUV for a family of 8 to ride.
I love the way my vehicle turns. It turns just like a car. I like the way it is enough space in the vehicle to drive the children around and have enough space to have a weeks worth of food in the back.

Great family car with a ton of space.
Great family car. Handles well for a large trunk and the Denali trim is very high end. The xl is huge and offers a ton of passenger and cargo space but the trade off is that it does not have great fuel mileage. Great sound system. Perfect car for long road trips.

Most people think it may be bad on gas but it isn't. I call my truck Bessie gal.
Problems have been very minimal. Nothing major, just regular maintenance. I have replaced my alternator, one battery and I have replaced the water pump. It's great at picking up speed and its great on miles. I have had it 4 years now, and I paid cash for it. Best big purchase.

It has everything we want and need with 5 boys!
I love my truck! I have the yukon xl denali and it has everything i want and need for our big family of 7.
accountCircle Danielle G
It is a good family car and good on gas.
I love the space of the car. I like that it is able to use flex fuel and the size of it. I also like the remote start and leather.

It is very spacious and comfortable.
My Yukon is very spacious and it is very comfortable. I have seen that it does well in car accidents, and when I hit a deer, I barely felt it. I felt like I was on a roller coaster. I really like all of the trunk space, and I have enough space for my friends and family.
accountCircle Stephanie L
Highly satisfied with the GMC.
I love the size and interior roominess off the truck. It has a full back seat and then a optional 3rd row that can be kept in or taken out. The truck is not horrible on gas and is a something ride. I wish the back was a bit roomier for groceries and travel.

Size makes this car very safe, to have.
The gauges are not user friendly hard to see take to long to find what does what even odometer is hard to read backup cam is all most useless so small and contrast is very bad. The car is very nice otherwise rides good, handles good, lots of power good ride height, nice body shape. Interior clean quite.

Small miscellaneous issues but reliable.
Having issues with stuff constantly breaking but reliable otherwise, mostly little electrical issues. I don't think having a Denali trim is any different than if you got standard trim package. Performance is good on the vehicle and seating is comfortable. Wish there was a little more room between the second row and front seats; is it a little crowded to get out when car seats are there.

2012 GMC Yukon... More like $2012
Size and passenger capacity is great. Gas mileage is horrible. Its had to have over $2000 of motor work done and a transmission rebuild ($4500) all within 6 mos. Only has 120k miles on it. I would not consider this particular car to be 'reliable' however i'm not sure that is across the board for these models. The comfort of the rides/seats is top notch!

Yukon xl large and spacious
Great cargo space. Easily fits our 3 children and all of their sports gear. Bucket seats/captain chairs in middle row were very helpful with entering and exiting the car. It's extremely large, so while there are positives, it's also difficult to park. Rides like a truck, so it feels rough at times, especially in the third row. We haven't had any major mechanical issues. The maintenance overall has been fairly easy.

It is honestly good to use and it is reliable for family usage.
The car is not necessarily the best. It is sort of outdated. I would much rather prefer things like seat warmers and things. There is also little storage. I would like for there to be more options when driving to. I like that it is a 4 wheeler car though.
accountCircle Samantha P
The most important other people need to know about my car is how it does on gas.
Too much on gas. However fits just right for a family of 5. It can fit up to 8 people comfortably. The truck is big enough to hold a stroller and a lot of groceries. For safety, it includes onstar and connects to cell phones through its Bluetooth system.

Great GMC Yukon Denali xl SUV! Buy one today!
I haven’t had any problems with this vehicle yet. Love my GMC Yukon. Love the leather heated seats, love the DVD player. Love the cargo space & room for my family. Lots of space. Does not get good gas mileage. Looks awesome going down the road. Rides very comfortable.

It has self leveling suspension.
We love our vehicle so far. We have owned it for almost 1 year now. We haven't had any issues. It is great being high up and we feel much safer driving this bigger SUV. It seats or 5 person family great with lots of trunk space when we fold the third row down for our big dog as well. Very roomy! I especially love the backup camera.

Pros from Owners

likeFilled Amy B.

It has a lot of room. It is very comfortable to ride in. It has all the bells and whistles...DVD player, sunroof, navigation, heated and cooled leather seats. It is a very pretty vehicle with a Denali grill.

likeFilled Jennifer H.

I have found my Yukon Denali to be a very reliable car. I have had very little maintenance/work done on it in the past four years. Very comfortable to drive. My son also enjoys the DVD feature on road trips.

Cons from Owners

dislikeFilled Amy B.

The dash is cracked. The fuel mileage is not great. The back door lock rattles when it is in the locked position and the vehicle is running down the road. A/c drain gets clogged & runs into floorboard.

dislikeFilled Jennifer H.

Overall very few cons but I wish it got better gas mileage. Also because my vehicle is older my cell phone does not sync with the vehicle which is frustrating and possibly a safety hazard. I typically use my Bluetooth headphones while in the vehicle to make phone calls and listen to podcasts.

Great family/passenger car! Loads of room for people AND cargo without feeling cramped. Easy to drive, park and maneuver.

How Reliable Is The 2012 GMC Yukon?

I personally have had nothing but issues from my 2012 Yukon xl. At only 118k miles its had to have extensive motor work and a rebuilt tranny. I've put over $7000 in it in 7 mos.
Ashley D.

Is The 2012 GMC Yukon A Good Value?

Worth it if you have a large family or go on trips. The gas mileage is what you would expect from a large 'gas guzzler'. Don't buy this vehicle if your looking for great mpg
