Trusty Ol' Girl Gets 'Er Done - And Eats Gas Money While She's At It
2012 Jeep Patriot Latitude
I had to rate the Jeep Patriot a 4/5 because there are a few issues with this make/model that become obvious later on, but it's held together well for the two years that I've had it. Out of the whole two years, I have only broke down twice - once for overheating, and once because it was almost blizzard conditions outside and the engine just couldn't warm up - and both times the Jeep recovered almost immediately. The biggest issue I have with it is the mpg - it never really gets above 20, and that's not super efficient for me since I'm on the road a lot - gas gets expensive when you can only get about 300 miles per tank or less. It also feels a bit top-heavy sometimes and wind can catch it pretty easy, so curves are a concern when going around them. The seats are comfortable, though, and the features inside like heated seats and the power outlet are godsends. Tons of room for storage when you put down the seats, and the spare tire is easy to access. All in all, a reliable ol' girl.
