If you are looking for a reliable, spacious vehicle, the jeep patriot is for you.
I have personally not had any problems with my jeep patriot. It is been really reliable. It is really good on gas mileage, the seats are comfortable, and it is very spacious. I love taking my dog for car rides, he has enough room to spread out. There’s plenty of room for groceries, bookshelves, etc. It handles really well in the winter.

Love my jeep patriot and it is my favorite car I have owned.
I really enjoy my jeep patriot. It runs amazing in the snow and I always feel in control. It has spacious trunk space and the ability to fold down the rear seat is very helpful. The engine is a bit loud and the acceleration is slower than similar vehicles.

Soft seats, cool features, a lot of space.
It's very comfortable, has a lot of space, I have 2 kids that still use car seats, it's very easy for us to put them and also put some other stuff. I buy it used and it feels like new, I normally drive 60 miles daily, I have it since last year. Jeep branch is a good one.

Decent jeep the gets from a to b.
It is a decent with vehicle. It is not anything that is too flashy. It has been reliable, and it is comfortable to drive. I have not had any major problems with the patriot, just normal wear and tear replacements. The only minor problem is the gas housing is rusting.

Jeeps are great on gasoline mileage!
We've had the car for 2 years. It is very dependable and good on gas mileage. However, we're having to replace the air conditioning compressor already. When we were looking for a vehicle we wanted a different color inside and out than what we got which is black interior and silver outside. All the cars seemed to be the same color so didn't have much of a choice. We plan to paint the outside green in order for it to be more different. We took it on a trip to Washington last October and didn't have any problems at all.

Jeep 2012 patriot - from a student’s perspective.
My only true complaint about this vehicle is that it at times produces a gas cap engine light after refueling. The gasket is good, but it continues to shine. Besides that it drives nicely and smoothly and the interior is phenomenal. I highly recommended this vehicle for anyone who is constantly on the move.

Great small SUV for family adventures.
I always wanted a jeep! This one is exactly what I wanted. A small SUV. Fits our small family and big dog perfectly. Great for adventures too. Since its a sport you feel everything on the road but I don't mind. I also am a fan of the burnt orange color. My husband loves that you can use it automatic or shift gears.

Join the jeep gang now! I love being a jeep owner!
I love the size of my car, not too big not too small. I like that it is high up off the ground. The heated seats are my favorite feature in my car! There are 2 different setting low and high, it is perfect for cold winter nights. The seats are comfortable and adjustable. The car is very spacious and has plenty of room to fit other passengers comfortably in the front seat and in the back seat.

Not worth the price at all.
It breaks all the time. It is a SUV but awful in the snow. Always needs something done to it and is always expensive.

It is very good on the road in winter driving conditions.
I like the gas mileage we get in this jeep. I like the way that it handles on and off the road,. We like the roomy inside of this jeep because it allows us to pack what we need.

The 2012 jeep patriot has a lots of recalls.
My 2012 jeep patriot has had multiple recalls since I purchased it in 2013. One of the recalls caused the car to overheat and shut down while driving. The gas mileage is pretty good. The backseat is small for road trips. There's plenty of storage room in the back of the SUV.

I love my jeep - it is been a reliable car until 100k miles.
I love my keep but as with any car, I have been having some issues with it as I get closer to 100k miles. The car overheats on occasion and lately I have been having issues with my gas tank - the tank will not fill more than half a gallon at a time and as a result it takes a while to completely fill the tank.

Black 2012 jeep patriot sport.
I have owned this car for almost 5 years and it has given me 0 major issues. I did have to replace the battery once, but that was to be expected with any car. It is great on gas mileage and is a very nice ride. It has plenty of storage space and I have moved many times with this car. Great all around!

My amazing jeep and its features.
I love my jeep patriot. My favorite part of my jeep is screen and Bluetooth. I do not have to worry about changing songs, for there is a button on the steering wheel that has a function for this motion. It also contain several buttons to change the volume of the music, which is very convenient. The size of the jeep is great to maneuver in tight spaces, plus for a family three there is a good amount of space to be comfortable.

Dependable and reliable car.
It has been reliable for 8 years. It is good for long trips. Shakes a little over 70 miles per hour. Does not require much maintenance. It has good storage and trunk space. I like that it can fit five people comfortably. I have not had any issues with this car and see it lasting for many years.

Jeep 2012 - a/c issues and back of seat.
Air conditioning problems, the back of the driver's seat fell off randomly, how expensive it is to just get and oil change or change a headlight. It's all black leather so it gets really hot, but that's the only interior that was available. It would be more comfortable if the back of the driver seat hadn't fallen off.

I thought my jeep was 4wd, but other than that I am super in love with it!
Transmission sometimes overheats on long trips. You have to pull over and let it cool down. Drives very smooth, not 4 wheel drive:( heated seats, automatic start. The radio does not say what song is playing, nice big seats, lots of storage space, the trunk is nicely square to fit big things in the trunk.

Stylish car with lot a of room but bad interior and bad engine
My vehicle has a lot of room but also consistently needs fixed. The engine is not great. The inside is very simple but has everything you need. The cup holders light up it's pretty neat. I don't like the seats because they are not leather they are cloth and I have gotten stains on them that will not come out and also a burn hole. The car is also hard to clean

An interesting detail is that it is a fishbowl. You can see right through it.
Performance wise the car is great. It could do better for mileage but as far as maintenance I had no issues. It is not fancy like most vehicles - there’s no bluetooth feature, no satellite but there is an aux cord. There is plenty of space in the front row - the middle is kind of tight and plenty of room in the trunk.

I love the heated seats in this vehicle.
No problems at all with my current vehicle that I bought brand new. It has heated seat which is very nice. No four wheel drive but I didn't pick that option. Rides good plenty of space. The driver's seat is very comfortable. The trunk is a little small but it is a smaller SUV.

A good car- not the best but if your looking for something mediocre this is it.
It was a good car for a while but I didn't take as much care of it as I should have. It has scratches and it broke down a couple times, although that was from exterior forces. The seats are not that comfortable but they are not bad. It is a good car, but I didn't take good care of it.

Manual jeep worth the price.
This is the most reliable vehicle that I have had. Due age some parts have had to be replaced tires, shocks and control arms. Even with having to replace these parts I will keep as it is a joy to drive. This is a manual shift vehicle but I feel this allows me the best power at each speed.

Cvt a confusing transmission. Could have used a regular automatic transmission.
I am not a fan of the cvt transmission that they use in this vehicle. It is a bit confusing to use. People who are used to a regular automatic transmission may find this type of transmission difficult to understand the way that it works. I have also read that they cost a lot of money to repair.

Red 2012 jeep liberty- heated seats and optional 4wd.
Overall, this vehicle was well worth the purchase. Comfortable seating and lots of space for storage in the trunk. If you are not used to driving jeeps, the slightly rough handling can be difficult to get used to at first. The pickup is also not as fast as what you'd expect with a sedan, but nonetheless still easy to maneuver. I like the added feature of the heated seats and the optional 4wd to use during winter. Great car in the snow, pretty decent on gas, I would say it is worth the buy.

Good little Jeep not so good transmission
I really like my Jeep Patriot. It's roomy and has great amenities (I.e. Heated seats, an actual outlet plug, great stereo, 4 wheel drive you can turn on and off to save on fuel). I purchased this vehicle brand new with a 4 cylinder engine, and my only complaint about it is the transmission. It has a CVT ( continuously variable transmission) transmission, and it is very unresponsive and sluggish. If you need to go in a hurry it takes some time for it to respond and pick up the pace. The shifting points are weird and it is not a very smooth shift. I have an automatic with the option of using it as a standard, and it does the same thing on either setting. I have taken it 4 wheeling and it actually held its own pretty well with the wranglers. It's great for playing and everyday use like running errands and driving kids around.

Jeep patriot. A reliable vehicle with unique issues.
It is reliable and dependable. Other than scheduled maintenance, there is very little downtime. Both of the side view mirrors cracked at separate times while driving. The drivers side window motor is already shot and had to be replaced. The interior is comfy and roomy.

White Jeep patriots. Year 2012. Sport. 4 door. Huge trunk.
Easy breaking plastic on the inside floor area. I love the ac / heat. Has hard time going fast. Car seat installation was easy. Trunk is spacious. Tire pressure goes low a lot even with new tires. It gets me to everywhere I need to go everyday so far.

It is red, four by four, low miles for its age, and it does great in the snow.
It burns through gas, it leaks, it needs constant oil changes I have to fill the tires up with air like every week. It is too small for me and my family to fit in I have 3 kids a husband that is six foot tall and he’s knees are on the dash and it does not matter that he is all the way back in the seat. I need something a lot bigger.

I do not care for my Jeep patriot.
It's not very old but I feel like it is always losing power and it does not accelerate like it used to. I need to take it into her it looked at because the steering wheel is also starting to shake when I am on the highway. I have had Jeeps in the past and loved them but I probably will not buy another Jeep patriot.

Some quirks, but still a great vehicle!
The Jeep Patriot is the perfect size SUV- easy to maneuver and park, but large enough to not be intimidated on the road. Seems to have lights come on and little fixes slightly more often than my other vehicles, but nothing pricey yet (knock on wood) and I have owned the vehicle for nearly a year now.

Jeep patriot: the car for new drivers.
I really like my jeep patriot, it is a great car for me right now that fits all my needs as a college student. I have had it for 4 years now, and it is fairly reliable. I have only had an issue once or twice where I have had to call a mechanic due to overheating, and a problem with the connection between the gas pedal and the engine. I would recommend this car for a new driver, or someone who does not have to drive long distances (over 4 hours) very often. I trust my jeep to get me where I need to go. The only issue I have with it is the gas mileage which is fairly low, but not bad for a jeep, and the storage inside. The back seats and trunk are pretty small, but they fit my needs for now.

The 2012 jeep patriot- black.
The 2012 black jeep patriot has computer sensory malfunctions which makes starting the vehicle difficult. This vehicle also has electrical issues which disabled the radio. Lastly the vehicle has body frame issue from being driven in the snow and other cold weather conditions.

2012 jeep patriot reviewed.
I would say that the jeep patriot is a reliable vehicle. Despite some oil pan concerns there have not been any concerns with the vehicle at this time. The 2012 jeep patriot does not have automatic windows or doors, so if that is a problem than a different year of the vehicle should be reviewed.

I do really enjoy my vehicle. It's like a mom car, without having the mom look.
There is a recall on the catalytic converter at the moment, I don't really have much more issues other than there is a slight shaking and a noise when I turn on the ac/heat, but that could just be from a need in change of air filter. There has been a few grinding noises from the front axle but I think that may be my own fault for driving roughly.

Great looking comfortable mid size SUV for small to medium families.
Overall it is a great car nice interior comfortable for long rides. Good amount of room however not enough for a larger family. The console is user friendly and sleek. I have had it for 4 years and have only have to keep up on the oil and basic maintenance. Downside is the car does not hold a lot of gas so I am filling up at least once a week. Also it does not have a lot of power so if you are someone who likes to get up and go you would not like this vehicle. I really enjoy this car it looks nice and is safe.

Thankful for a safe (and warm!) Ride.
My jeep is extremely reliable. I put approx. 15,000 miles on it each year and never have to worry about it getting me anywhere safely. I live in Minnesota and needed a big vehicle that I felt safe driving during snow storm. I never have any problems driving in the snow and appreciate having four-wheel drive on snowy days. My car has ac/heat and heated seats so I am always comfortable. Also, autostart so I can warm up the car before I go in the winter. The only downside is that the trunk and back seat is smaller than I would expect for such a big vehicle. Luckily, the back seats go down so if I am driving alone I can haul almost anything.

Great car I love it a lot.
Overall an awesome vehicle. I have not had any major issues with anything going on it, just needs routine maintenance. I bought it at around a hundred fifty thousand miles about six months ago and I am now up to about a hundred sixty five thousand. I drive a lot for work all over the western New York area and the jeep has not needed anything other than routine maintenance. When I first purchased it the car did need a new oil pan, but that was really about it. Ever since then I haven't had to get anything done to it other than an oil change.

Jeep Patriot-pros outweigh the cons
I especially love the size and look of my car. I always desired a car of the Jeep brand or something that looked similar. The Jeep Patriot is a safer option for Jeep, rather than a wrangler/open top model. The size is perfect. It is not too large and is easy to maneuver, yet the large trunk, plus the fact that the back seats lower down, allows for great use of my trunk. I am able to use my car to move large loads, such as household items. My biggest complaint is it does not Drive the best in rain or snow. It does not have 4 wheel drive.

Jeep patriot - decent little vehicle.
More bare-bones than my old explorer. Does not have 4wd and I don't/can't use it in the snows I get out here in the Iowa countryside. Manual transmission saves some gasoline, I guess, and is not subject to big maintenance and repair costs. Does run very well, very reliable in good weather.

It's the perfect size to easily drive/fit into spaces and still has plenty of interior space.
I love the size (interior and exterior), driving capabilities, look, and feel of it. I do only have the basic model though so it's not equipped with bluetooth and I can't control the radio/music from my steering wheel. Since I actually only listen to music I have on my phone (I have odd tastes) I have to use an audio cable (which doesn't always tune correctly) and change the music from my physical phone. Also, not as big of a deal, but my Jeep is not 4WD, which I grew up with and feel a little vulnerable without.

I am very happy with my cars performance. I do not find the vehicle to be very comfortable especially on long road trips. There is a bar that you lift to move the seat forward and back that gets in my way and is uncomfortable. Also the heat is either too much or too little.

The most important thing is that I should have read the Consumer's Report on the vehicle before I purchased it. The car was rated extremely poorly and now I know why. My advice is to never buy a Jeep !
The car has leaked since the day I got it and the dealer has never been able to repair it. The car is very unsteady under windy conditions and is especially unsteady when it is passed on the highway by a big truck. Changing the oil is a pain in the neck because the skid plate is in the way.

Great car that I will pass on to my son.
I love driving my jeep. The gas mileage is great, there is plenty of room inside for my son, husband and dog. I do wish that the driver's seat was a tad more comfortable. The only thing I can think of that is negative is the acceleration of the vehicle itself. It is a little 'slow out of the gate'; but it does fine to pass other vehicles. The a/c and heating systems work wonderfully. I did have to get the transmission replaced a couple of years back but it was still under warranty, and I believe was a recalled notice. A mess. Do not buy a jeep patriot. They do not sell them anymore for a reason.
It feels like I have to buy new parts once a year. My wheel bearings go out every year. My suspensions have to be replaced often and feel like as soon as they are replaced it breaks again. It does not drive well in the winter. Haven't actually slid off the road (yet) but it feels like I am going to slip all the time. A great family sized car!
This jeep is easily the best one for a small family. The seats are comfortable and the back ones fold down to expand your trunk size. It is your average 4 cylinder as far as driving performance. It takes a bit to get up & go when you press on the gas but I still enjoy driving it. We've driven this car to Florida from Pennsylvania and back again without a single problem. Only major issue we’ve ever had was some spark plugs went out and the car wouldn't start until they were fixed. This happened when the car was 5 years old. Overall, it is a great and reliable car!

I love my jeep. It is cute, comfy, and very roomy. I hate how many issues I have with it. The wheel bearing constantly needs replaced, it slides a lot in the rain even with new tires, the backseat does not get any air, and the engine light is always on. I am putting way too much money into it.

Snow performance and comfort.
One problem that has come up a few times is a small evap leak. Fixed it once and it came up again about a year later. Other than that, I find this car very reliable. The four wheel drive and off road option perform great in the snow. Vehicle is comfortable and I love the sunroof.

I love the comfort of my Jeep patriot.
This car is comfortable to drive in size as well as the set up on the interior. There is plenty of storage and space in the back seat as well as the trunk. My biggest complaint is the poor gas mileage.

Comfortable seating and good on gas!
It is a good car, comfortable, and rides smooth. I have had problems with it before and just took it to the dealership to fix everything. It is a compact car that is good on gas but does not feel tiny. I like that the radio has a Bluetooth function! The trunk is spacious too.

It gets good gas mileage.
Like the color. Like that it fits a lot of stuff. Have been in many accidents without any damage. No bad blind spots. Do not have any complaints.

A really good jeep. Good gas mileage.
Good car. It rides good. Had a few electrical problems. Other than that the features are good. The gas mileage is very good. Twenty to twenty five. The color is great. I didn't get electric windows or locks but that just prevents the stuff from breaking.

The jeep patriot is the perfect size car!
Not too big, not too small. I like that I am not down low to the ground and that I do not have a long car while making turns and parking. Easy to clean off after snow storms, as it is not too tall. The seats are comfortable, adjustable and heated. The back seats fold down to fit larger items in the trunk. Very reliable, mine has 100,000 miles on it and still running great!

Me and my jeep. I have not found the 'easter egg'.
I have not had any problems with my jeep. It is reliable. I enjoy the extra room available when back seats are let down. It is comfortable to drive and ride in. I will be looking at jeeps for my future vehicle as well, because I love my jeep so much. It is not a large SUV but I think it is the perfect size. It is a four door and hatchback. I have been able to fit everything I have needed.

Decent SUV with minor reliability issues.
Stalls on medium to long road trips (over 30 minutes) and requires a jump start. Camshaft position sensor is a problem. Otherwise comfortable and handles the road well. Wish it had a spot to install a trailer hitch. It has over 100,000 miles on the odometer and still mostly runs great.

The silver jeep. It is the best car ever get you one.
No problem best car ever. It has Sirius XM radio front wheel drive beautiful silver with tints. You can call people. It has seat warmers. Very spacious. Leather interior. Wish it had a sunroof. Only had it for 6 months. It is good in the winter and when it is raining outside.

Jeep life!! Who can relate
It doesn't accelerate fast but it gets me where I need to go and it's very stylish. Love the Jeep logo on steering wheel

Roomy for people and stuff. Good on gas and dependable.
I have had no problems with my Jeep. I can carry anything I want since there is lots of room. I love the heated seats on cold days and the fact that the doors lock by themselves. It gets good gas mileage. Best of all, it is ready to go when I am. On trips it is comfortable and all friends have leg room.

I love the look of the jeep patriot and the size. I wish it was a little quieter on the highways.

My Jeep Patriot is the ultimate vehicle
I've had no problems out of my jeep. It has been my favorite vehicle thus far. Its reliable it runs smooth. My air conditioning is exceptional. The heater is great during the winter months. My music player is the best the sound quality is phenomenal. I love my car.

Red remote start, 4 wheel drive wonder for all your needs!
The transmission began acting up after only 5 years owning the vehicle causing the car to need to be pulled over more than once while on long drives. Apparently there is also a common problem among Jeep Patriots with the fuel intake valve that needs to be addressed.

Highlighting the interior - it's not anything fancy and more commonly seen as bare bones. If the interior doesn't worry you then you will enjoy the Patriot
Not as comfortable as a Grand Cherokee, but it's reliable and so far haven't had a problem with my 2012 Patriot. If anyone is looking for a affordable, reliable option then consider the Patriot.

2012 jeep patriot looks tough, but could be better.
It gets pretty good gas mileage and is fairly spacious. Fairly affordable. More maintenance needs to be done now that it is near 100k miles. Does not accelerate very well. Get hot inside the cabin during the summer time, but that might be because it is a black car.

It's very roomy and spacious and the seats fold down for more trunk space
It's very reliable however the pickup is delayed. Great gas mileage

74000 miles and the transmission is bad. Also have two friends with the same issues

It is great in the snow and ice. I never get stuck and it gets me where I need to go. I feel safe driving this vehicle.
I love the way my Jeep handles for an SUV..I do not like how cramped the back seat it....The leg room in the back seat is my biggest complaint. Other than that I am very pleased with the vehicle.
accountCircle Kayla M on July 30, 2020
It's great on gas mileage! It's like driving a car and not an SUV
This vehicle is great in the snow because it has 4 wheel drive, but is also great on gas. I spend only about $30.00 a week in gas for my car. One downfall about the car is that it is only a 4 cylinder which means it does not have a lot of power when you hit the gas pedal right away .

Jeep patriot, perfect for any outdoorsman.
I absolutely love my jeep patriot! It is a sturdy and reliable car that gets me from school to work with ease. It is perfect for long travel and for moving (lots of room to hold items). I often attach my kayak and camping gear to the top to transport. It is the perfect vehicle for any nature lover!

This Jeep is great and rides so smooth.
Very comfortable to drive. Has great passenger space. Would suggest making sure there's rear ac helps the car cool down or heat up better. Only downside is that there is not enough storage space around the driver's space. The 4WD is fun and smooth to use.

Jeep patriot 2012 review. A reliable car with a few minor flaws.
It is very loud when I drive it, especially at a faster speed. At this point it sounds like an airplane. The car does not accelerate very fast. The battery has been exchanged 2 x since I have had it. Other than that I did not have any problems with it. Mileage could be better.
