Comfort features of a 2012 Toyota sienna!
There are so many different comfort features in this vehicle. First off, both driver and front passenger seat have heated features. You can adjust your seat position (forward, backward, up and down) and have two different settings that are programmable. This has been very helpful for me as I have some mobility issues and can use the different seat settings for when I first get in to the van vs when I drive. There is also a five disc CD player as well as a DVD player and screen for your passengers to enjoy. This comes in handy when on the road with small children, or are having to wait in the car for a period of time. There are two rows in the back; two seats that are completely removable, with the back row that folds down for more space and convenience.

The best minivan! 100% recommend to others.
I think everything about this vehicle is amazing. The seats are comfortable; there is so much space. The driving is smooth and it is safe. There are some issues with the automatic doors, however. If the car is not in park, and one happens to attempt to open the automatic doors, the door stalls and it is rather difficult to fix it thereafter. But, other than that the car is amazing.

Comfortable technological minivan my Toyota sienna.
My 2012 Toyota sienna se v6 8- passenger van powered by 3.5 liter v6 gas engine has power- 296 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque, which is more than rivals such as Kia Sedona and Honda odyssey can muster. Some rivals counter this advantage by offering superior onboard technology and smartphone integration, which my sienna is not equipped with. Although providing a relatively comfortable ride and impressive acceleration, the sienna is starting to feel a little bit repetitive year after year. While my van offers excellent safety ratings and drivers aid, a total redesign will benefit the sienna greatly in maintaining its solid reputation and brilliant performance. My van is roomy, comfortable, well built and is a excellent choice for larger families.

I would tell someone you sit up higher in my vehicle and that my van is long.
I like being able to transport up to eight people. There is plenty of storage and the seats fold down easy. I love the backup camera. I love the automatic sliding doors. I wish the truck opened with the push of a button.

Toyota sienna is a great car for a big family and for traveling!
It is a white minivan, and it holds 8 passengers. The audio is very nice, it is my favorite feature of the car! You can turn up the bass, and other features, move the sound to the front or back. The ac is very good too, very strong and can be adjusted to your preferred temperature or strength. It drives smoothly, the breaks are smooth and the controls are easy to find and use as well.

It is very reliable., low upkeep.
I like the size of my vehicle and the smoothness of the ride. I dislike some of the features it lacks. Those being darker tinted windows. Electric seats all over. Navigation system. CD changer.

Good large car but hard to clean by self.
It is kind of a old car, the chair is not leather so it is hot during the summer. Not very comfortable chair not good for clean either.

Toyota is a brand that offers dependability and comfort at an affordable price.
I purchased this vehicle used last year and enjoy the smooth ride it offers. It has been good on gas and has been reliable so far. The only drawback of this van is that the second row seating is somewhat difficult to remove if the back is needed for cargo transportation.

Seats are easy to store and restore.
I really have had no serious problems other than routine maintenance. The vehicle handles well in all kinds of weather. The ride is comfortable for all and has plenty of room. The sound system is good. The dealer service has been excellent. The vehicle gets good crash test results.Great vehicle for a northern climate with lots of snow.

Why I love my Toyota sienna.
I have had my Toyota sienna for six years. It has been very reliable. I take it in for service every 5, 000 miles and have had no major issues. I have three children and it is very spacious and roomy for all of their extra activities and equipment. It is very comfortable on long trips. We have made several trips over 1000 miles each way and the children were comfortable for all trips.

Worth every penny. Everyone interested in owning a van should check it out.
My sienna drives very smoothly. I enjoy taking it everywhere I go. It is roomy, comfortable, and smartly designed to stow all of the back seats for plenty of room. It also has a rack on top for extra luggage or even a kayak. The only trouble I have is that the steering wheel is a bit far from the seat. This makes it hurt my shoulders on long drives.

I am loving my Toyota sienna.
Love space and it drives so smoothly. Handles well, works great with a car seat and is perfect for road trips. No issues with it so far and I love the heated seats (living in WI that is a must) the 3rd row stows below which is great for adding extra room when you need it.

It has great impact ratings. With two young kids and a dog this was a very important factor in us picking this vehicle over others!
I love my vehicle for it's space. I love that it gets great gas mileage. In my next vehicle I would like a sunroof, the trunk to open and close by a button. The vehicle I have right now is perfect for our little family!

Lots of seating or lots of cargo space, depending on your needs!
I love that it has lots of seating space (it can seat up to 8 people), and that if I don't want to use all that space for seating, it can be folded down/away for extra storage/cargo space. It is also great on gas mileage.

2012 Toyota Sienna SE Vehicle Review
The Sienna SE has been a fairly reliable source of transportation so far, minus the inconveniences and issues that had to do with Toyota's multiple factory recalls (which have so far had effect on the power windows, power steering, airbags, internal electrical issues, and problems with the brakes locking up for no reason). The only thing that I would really red flag would be to anyone looking at this car who has small children or pets that ride in the back seat of the car with them, we have had several different occasions of the automatic sliding doors shutting on their own when we were parked on any kind of incline or hill, and this is a very dangerous feature due to the fact that small children and pets could easily get caught in the sliding doors if they decide to suddenly close without notice. Also, it is not a very tech savvy car, there aren't very many options for charging & syncing a phone or tablet, which makes it frustrating at times.

Nice because there’s a lot of space for the family and more people! For long trips everyone is comfortable! The automatic doors had recalls twice and broke down once! Not a luxury car but comfortable! It is like sitting on a couch! 8 passengers is a plus!

Reliability and comfort. It is true that Toyota makes a car to last.
No major problems, extremely reliable car, comfortable, great car with kids. The only maintenance is the regular maintenance on the car no significant repairs and I have over 200k miles. It rides nicely, roomy and can fit a lot of stuff in it as well.

The car is extremely comfortable, and is spacious. It is also reliable, but gas mileage is not super great. We have a DVD player, and wood finish on the dashboard. We have had a problem with the sliding door, but it was not an expensive fix. Overall, it performs well, and is a good fit for a large, busy family.

A reliable low price car made for comfort and effectiveness.
The car that I currently own is pretty reliable (it has not broken down or had any problems for about 4 years now). The 8 seats allows for many passengers to fit into the car for things like road trips. If the seats are not needed, they can be removed giving more trunk space. With the seats in, the trunk is still pretty spacious. The car is very comfortable with air conditioning controls for both the front and back of car. Overall a great and reliable car.

Reliable van with tons of room
My Sienna has been extremely reliable. I love that I can remove the middle seat of the second row when I don't need it. The last row creates tons of room when laid down. We have yet to have an issue with it in the 5 years we have owned it.

I like the comfort and increased view because you sit a little higher. I dislike the low pressure warning for tires because whenever you have a big temperature drop it comes on and won't reset.

Two issues but still the best minivan.
We love it. The only issue is the noise. It almost sound like you have the window down. Also, the captain seat is without a armrest on one side. Other than this two things, this mini van is the best. It is reliable. I take it on a road trip almost twice every year. Never have any problem. The resale value is also high. Great to own.

Awful car wouldn't recommend to even someone I hate.
Well within the first year the clear glossy coat on my car had to be renewed. We have had nothing but problems with this car and Toyota requires a substantial amount of money to fix these problems. The car has gotten a new alternator, new tires, the steering has dramatically declined, and it was not worth my money. As far as the interior the leather sides have came off of the panel which makes them sticky.

The Toyota Sienna is an excellent vehicle.
It has very comfortable seating and is extremely easy to get into. The ride is excellent as is the power. My last vehicle was a SUV and this van is just as useful if not more. It has good gas mileage and the view is excellent for both the driver and passenger. There is seating for seven and the rear seats fold flat into the floor for easy hauling. I have carried many things back there including bags of fertilizer and mulch. The low floor makes unloading a lot easier than my old SUV. We would not hesitate to buy this van again.

Highlights and favs of my 2012 Toyota sienna.
I was a tough sell to switch over to a minivan, but once I realized I could get both kids bikes and a stroller in there without having to kick the door closed, I was sold. Beyond space, the vehicle rides smoother than previous vehicles and the additional lumbar support provided to the driver has added to my level of comfort. My kids are huge fans of the dual sliding doors, and it is created great independence for my five-year-old as she is able to open and close both doors herself. Great storage, great comfort, great ride. Other great features that I enjoy about our Toyota sienna include the handsfree, Bluetooth capability. I rarely even have to touch my phone, and it automatically connects to either the latest podcast I was listening too or it jumps right into my playlist from iTunes. Another favorite feature is the blessed backup camera. It has been a lifesaver in some of those parking lots where the lines are too close to fit most vehicles. I choose to backing and make sure I am square in between those lines. I cherish my beloved “distance to empty” information tab, so I know exactly how far I can push things out here in the great Midwest with miles between gas stations; likewise, I like it that it tells me (with more than a warning light) that I am approaching or due for maintenance. I find that I am more apt to keep up on those things when I know they are coming.

Toyota sienna-the best family van!
We love the space it provides for our growing boys. The comforts in the van are nice with seat warmers and all leather seats-easy for clean up. The van itself performs well with good pickup and smooth handling. This is our second Toyota sienna that we have purchased. My Toyota sienna has been a very reliable vehicle to drive. The comfort of the vehicle is very high for all passengers. We have had no mechanical issues other than normal wear and tear. I love that it is an eight seater.
The problem with it was I got it second hand and the owner’s manual did not match my year and trim of my car. So trying to figure out how the surround sound works for the DVD player I could not figure it out. I had to buy a 10 ft aux cord and plug it in the back of the DVD player and into aux port for an iPod. And use the aux setting to get sound to play. I never wanted a van but had to with three kids. I have grown to love it. There is so much room in there it is great. Me and my boyfriend bought a couch. And were able to fit the whole thing inside and close the hatch. I was super impressed. I think that is why I fell in love with it. As long as my kids are small I will have a van. And I love that the back seat fold into the floor and the second row that seat come out. I also love that there are 8 seats and the eighth one can be removed. The only problem with that is it is next to impossible to get it to lock into place when putting it in. You have to mess with it a lot. And the front seats mine a leather which I hate in the summer and winter. But on the upside they have seat warmers in them that heat up super fast in the winter which is nice. And there are so many seating for back support in the driver's seat it is great.

Toyota sienna le: many great features & a few things that could use improvement.
We have loved the reliability of our vehicle the most of any features. We also love its safety ratings. I would definitely be pickier about the interior color in the future, light gray does not mix well with several young children. Or I would choose a non cloth interior. We would love to see an interior option that was made without carpeting all together... Something more song the lines of a truck bed liner material. I do wish the dual climate control was thermostatically controlled instead of just dial since I feel like we have to fiddle a lot with it. I really love how much storage nooks and crannies that it has. The base trim level which we have is not uncomfortable by any means but I have had vehicles that were a little better. Some types of maintenance and repairs on this vehicle can be more expensive than is typical due to either cost of parts or somewhat ill placement of components that leads to extra labor costs to remove and replace. We love the built in pull up sun shades in the rear two aisles. Some of the sight lines when backing and passing are a little more difficult than other vehicles we've owned. The rear view backing lights could be better designed/or brighter as it is pretty hard to see anything with them in the dark. We love the extra 8th jump seat for when I you r children have friends along, but wish that option was available in tandem with the AWD... You can only have one or the other not both. All said we'd definitely purchase another but just maybe be pickier with interior choices or trim levels possibly.

Durability, Comfort, Safety, and Value
We have over 211,000 miles, several distant moves, and lots of periodic hauling, and never experienced any serious problems beyond ordinary maintenance. I bought a full-size spare tire/wheel and carry it around just in case after a flat tire occurred 400 miles after buying a new set of tires. The AWD is a pain requiring all four tires to be replaced. I wish the designers/engineers were less phobic. The mileage information on the display screen is replaced with 'Maintenance Required' at 5,000 miles and per my mechanic, the oil looks great at 10,000 miles, so that's my maintenance interval. I can hit the console button and it temporary displays this information, but I find it annoying to have this maintenance message constantly displayed. The tires do wear out prematurely, even after trying various brands, probably because of the vehicle weight. This is our second used Sienna and at 300,000 miles, we will likely buy another one because looking at all the other alternatives, it is the best, safest, most comfortable value with high seating helping on visibility. At 55 mph and relatively flat driving conditions, I have achieved 30 mpg, even with an AWD, and 24 mpg overall since buying it at 18 months old and 27,000 miles. My work requires 1,200-mile trips every few months to do property maintenance, and I can load every conceivable tool needed to perform the work in the Sienna.

Very reliable van, flexible seating for our changing family needs. Plenty of space for everything when we go on trips. Very few mechanical issues. Lots of cup holders! Has held up well over the years with multiple kids and animals. Have driven it cross country many times with no issues.

Long lasting with quality to boot.
The thing I like a lot about my 2012 Toyota sienna limited edition is that it is comfortable for the family and has the entertainment system with DVD to keep the kids in there sit during the journey to wherever we go. A lot of room for when I go buy things that is pretty big I can fold down the third row seat and it is flush with the floor. If I need more space I can remove the middle row seat but they are all heavy for one person to remove. I have over 200k miles on it so you know I enjoy this van very much.

Great family vehicle, very happy.
Our Toyota sienna is a great family van. It holds up to eight people. But we like the best about it is that it will hold five car seats in the back. Having this much space really helps our family spend time together in the van. We have had hardly any mechanical issues with the van just the routine maintenance. Having a van that is so reliable is very comforting for our family. This is a van that I would recommend to anyone looking to buy a van.

Great purchase for a family car!
It is very spacious. The trunk space is huge. It drives like a car, you really do not feel like you are driving a mini-van. I feel very safe when driving it and the seats are super comfortable. I love the Bluetooth capabilities. It has been great for our family of 5!

The Toyota Sienna is both safe and sporty. It drives like a sedan but handle slike an SUV in the snow.
The Toyota Sienna is an absolutely amazing vehicle. As a minivan, it has plenty of room for our family with second row captain's chairs and a third row bench seat. It also has auto doors, a back up cam, and a wonderful DVD player and screen. The van is AWD so it is also a tank in the snow

Spacious and family friendly.
The car is overall very comfortable and spacious. It has been great for long road trips with lots of cargo packed in, while still leaving ample leg room for four people. The miles per gallon is also very reliable and is by no means a gas guzzler. I would recommend this car to anyone with a family.

Quality van great price!!
I have only had recalls need on the van. No major fixes. Has almost 150k miles and still runs great! Drives seat can be moved in multiple waste to adjust to myself or another driver. We've taken many long distance drives and have always been very comfortable in the van. Space for everyone and what we need.

Nice issues and bad issues.
I love my van only issue is it is to low to the ground it does not have enough chargers in it has plenty cup holders, the seats are nice they fold up out of the way if needed they do good in the snow and rain ice is the only issue but no vehicles is good on snow, I can climb the hills on the farm and goes anywhere I need it too\.

Best purchase for our family.
Drives smoothly; comfortably fits my family and anything we need to put into the car; especially love the automatIc doors and windows; it also comes with. Sunroof; the exceptional interior storage (3 front compartments, 2 back compartments, seat packets); I appreciate the comfort of our seats (leather and material): the center row middle seat is great too (easy to change out, for when you need or don't need it); ac front and rear, with rear controls; rear windshield wiper; reverse or rear camera.

I like the backup camera.
It is very safe and I know it'll protect me. Toyota builds solid, efficient, and reliable vehicles, the majority of their models do well in consumer testing due to their refined powertrains, good fuel economy, comfortable rides, quiet cabins, and intuitive controls.

A lot of room for the price and interior is very nice comfortable. Great family vehicle
I love the fact that it drives great. There is plenty of room in the van and it is very comfortable. The dislike is the sliding doors keep having issues i continue to take to dealership but they say they can never find anything wrong..

Basic model which is. Comfortable for long distance traveling
I used my van to take my daughter to school daily and pick her up. We use it for the family when we travel together. No major mechanical issues. Seats are comfortable. Drives smooth and I feel safe driving it. I have the base model and over time added a gps system radio system as well as a tv monitor to watch movies.

Great family vehicle, versatile and roomy
I love the room that it provides my family. The back bench folds down flat but easily comes up when needed. It handles well on all types of road conditions. The built-in window shades for the side windows are a nice added feature. Plenty of legroom.

Great family vehicle with available, seats up to 8!
I really like the available 3rd middle seat, it stores nicely in the back of the vehicle and installs easily when needed. We also found a trim package offering 1/2 leather 1/2 cloth in the front seats, the back bench seat is all leather. This gives us a mix of both without going to full leader, which I dislike for make reasons.

Room for all to take a ride.
I have a family of 8. We need a lot of space. Our Toyota sienna fits us perfectly with room for our things and our pets. It gets great gas mileage and provides a smooth ride. After 7 years, I have great confidence that our sienna will get us where we are going with no issues.

It's very roomy and can carry a lot of people and/or items. Yes
I like the room in it. I can use it to transport many people. I can also use it to transport large items. I wish it got better gas mileage.

Toyotas last a long time. The are very dependable.
The ride is nice. No fixing issues. The seats are very uncomfortable. Headrests too high so there are blind spots when looking back.

Biggest detail automatic door it is so convenient when you have multiple children.
Very comfortable and spacious. My four children can sit separately it is so spacious. I love the fact that you can sit in the floor seat and close all the doors including the trunk without getting out of your seat. Runs great I haven't had a problem yet (fingers crossed).

It runs well and is very safe.
It is a basic model. Needs updated/power sliding doors. The interior is spacious but is dated. Also, the DVD player no longer works.

This vehicle is dependable. It's also very spacious, with lots of room for lots of kids. We've taken it often on vacation with no problems.

Good gas mileage and good road trip vehicle
It's very reliable in gas mileage but I had some problems with lock mechanisms. Very good in road trip.I'm looking to upgrade or getting a better minivan though mine is just the basic, no added feature. If only I had better add on it will be better that what I have now

Not sure what to say besides it is a very reliable vehicle and that I haven't had any problems with it so far.
I love the spaciousness. It drives and handles smoothly. I wish the backup camera screen was bigger.

Sienna: the good and bad points
Can fit a ton of stuff!! We have often used the third row of seats to fit more people in. Still had plenty of room for luggage, surprisingly. On the downside, it's currently in the shop needing $2,300 worth of repairs for broken A/C. This is the first truly expensive repair that the car has required, but still it's a lot to pay.
accountCircle Brandy S on August 15, 2020
I have a 2012 Toyota Tacoma, charcoal gray with gray leather interior.
I have rarely had any problems with my Tacoma. Besides regular maintenance, I have only had a couple of issues. One was with the u joints and was expensive to repair but considering how much I use my vehicle, it was worth it. The only time my truck has left me stranded was when the battery went out so I would say it is very reliable. I love the back up camera and I have not had any problems parallel parking. The ride is comfortable and I have even slept in the driver's seat. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone.

Perfect van with sometimes problematic side doors.
This car is amazing it is really reliable and makes me feel safe to be in. The only problems I had with it would be the door opener on the left side. For some reason it would always get stuck if you tried to manually open it and then one day the button just stopped working and now you get the yellow check signal and a beeping noise when you make sharp right turns. Other than that door I have not had any other problems. The performance is excellent and it is very comfortable as well. I love the seat warmers for cold winter days as well. Although the defrosting of the windows takes a while as well on cold winter mornings.
