It a good vehicle until things go wrong with it and then it seems like things go out on it one after another and then it's super expensive to get it fixed

Volkswagen tiguan- perfect size SUV.
I love my Volkswagen tiguan! It is not enough room to haul things around, but it does not feel too bulky either. The only problem I have really had is the gas cap sometimes sticks and will not open easily. My husband was able to create a shim that makes it easily open, but we both had issues with it initially. Other than that small problem, I have been very happy with my car!

It runs really well but it consumes a lot of gas.
Runs beautifully, but I am used to luxury cars. The interior is lacking in details. The design of the car is very standard. There is nothing truly outstanding about it.

Most important thing is that the car is roomy inside.
My vehicle gets me to point A to point B. It is not a huge car but is good because I do have one child. I like how the back seats do fold down for extra room for bigger items. The only thing is that the tires are not a common size that most stores have so they have to be ordered.

Awesome small family vehicle!
I love how the tiguan drives. It is a very smooth ride but also has enough speed to feel like you are going somewhere. It is also very comfortable even with two car seats in the backseat. I feel safe when I am driving with my children and the gas mileage is also great!

Good car, expensive repair.
It's nice to drive and has great features. I have put over 100,000 miles on it and recently it has been in and out of the mechanic repairing issues coolant, fuel injectors, air intake. Etc. The older it gets, the more money I have to put into it. Maintenance is expensive on European vehicles as well.

My speakers are very nice, they have a great base!
The car drives very smoothly. The seats are leather and very comfortable. I like the heat seaters. I also really enjoy my sunroof, however the button to open the sunroof does not always work which is very annoying. I really like the size, a small SUV is perfect for me.

This vehicle is wonderful. Great 4 wheel drive for the winter season. Very roomy for long car rides. Mileage is great, about 24 in the city and 32 on Hwy. Back seats fold down easily, which gives you plenty of room when moving larger objects. I am very happy with my purchase of the VW tiguan. I love it. #forever vehicle.

The amazing 2014 Volkswagen tiguan.

Acceleration problems after 100,000 miles.
I have found that the acceleration slows down after driving it after 50,000 miles. The sport mode seems to be unusable. However these are small problems that are barely noticeable and occur with any vehicle, so this car is worth the price. I have also found that the aux system takes a long time to boot up when you start the car.

An interesting highlight would be the adjustable sound system.
This vehicle provides maximum space and comfort. It is perfect for road trips and family rides. Very comfortable with great features such as ac, Bluetooth, and an adjustable sound system. Comfortable, classy, accountable suv.
My vehicle is what I would call the new era of the typical mom style- suv. The outside look is classy and sleek, yet the inside is comfortable and super spacious! The problems are pretty much nonexistent— aside from minor wear and tear (new tires, new battery, routine maintenance checks). I do tons of traveling and I can definitely count on my vehicle to get me there safely, comfortably, and swiftly! My favorite feature is the moon roof; the moon roof allows for some great summer breeze which is my favorite!

It is a quick crossover vehicle.
It has a small but strong turbocharged engine. It is very reliable as long as you keep up with the maintenance schedule. Parts are relatively affordable as well. It has a Spartan interior which may turn away potential buyers. It is a safe automobile as well.

Handles great in traffic.
This tiguan has an amazing smooth ride. Handles very good. Not great gas mileage but not terrible either. Mine has the 2.0 liter plus the turbo. So it is very quick. Great for getting around in traffic. It has the hands free telephone. It has CD player plus am/FM radio.

The moon roof is amazing!
The car is great except for the seats have faded and stained despite having been professionally cleaned. The breaks squeak despite having being fixed multiple times. The auto technician cannot figure out why they are squeaking. The speakers are great and the moon roof is a nice feature, it makes the car feel airy and bright.

Injectors
Any body else having injector problems I always use premium fuel from day one replaced one under warranty but maybe should of replaced all of them .it is lagging on the get go just like before.

Pretty good but needs some updates since other cars soar among quality.
Back up camera, headlights and review mirror. The headlights need to be brighter and the backup camera is too dim or broken. Also the review mirror needs to have that thing were it dims the headlights behind you so it is not so bright. Maybe four wheel drive would be nice.

Since it's a crossover, you kind of get the best of both worlds: handles like a bigger car/SUV and does well in snow, but for city driving, can fit into smaller spots SUVs can't
We've had some issues since the moment we purchased the vehicle. Steering had to be fixed and I dislike how the steering can lock/feel like car is skidding when you go over a large bump or hole (activates all wheel drive or something?). Interior is not that comfortable and the trunk is too small compared to the size of the vehicle.

My VW tiguan is an awesome SUV..Great fuel saver and very roomie. We enjoy taking this car on long road trips because of how reliable it is. The pick up is great and going up or down steep hills is not a problem. We absolutely. Love it and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a newer vehicle.

VW Tiguan for a Dog and a Fast Driver
I purchased my VW Tiguan primarily for two reasons: I like the VW brand and I needed a crossover for my dog. My dog loves the extra room! I have liked the VW brand having driven a VW Golf TDI previously. I think it is simple and comfortable with not a lot of things that clutter a car. I especially like my Tiguan as it is a TSI which gives it great pick up speed. I hate slow cars.

I really love my VW tiguan. I would repurchase a newer version, for sure. I have had minimal problems with this car such a occasional ( 4 times over 5 years) engine cut out that resumed to normal functioning, and most recently my steering wheel wiring disconnected.

The car runs good at 150,000 miles.
I dislike that the seats are faded and stain easily. The breaks are squeaking for no reason. Carnet app is terrible.... The moon roof is amazing and the speakers are excellent..

I think it's the perfect size. Still fun to drive, but feels safe.
My favorite thing about my car is its size. Its big enough that I feel safe in it and can fit quite a bit once the seats in the back are down. But it's small enough that it's still fun to drive. I love the aesthetic of my car. However, it doesn't get the best gas mileage and it's upkeep is expensive. I also have to drive far from my hometown when it needs a repair or new part.

My Volkswagen is the best car I have ever owned. It has many features that prevent driver errors; the brakes are very reactive and there is an alarm when you are approaching a car in front of you too closely. When making turns they’re our side headlights that turn on which is especially helpful, considering I live in a roundabout. I have never driven a car that is so smooth and feels so light. One thing I will say is that it seems the gas mileage does not last as long as I wish it would but I think that it is pretty standard, just not exceptional like many of its other features. It is equipped with many modern controls like CarPlay and has amazing speaker quality.

My silver Volkswagen tiguan is perfect car if you are looking for a smaller SUV.
I have a Volkswagen tiguan in the color silver. It has the racks on top if my car as well as the footsteps which make the car look sportier. I love that it is an AWD which is perfect for the winter. I love that it tells you how many miles left for when you need an oil change and it also notifies you when a tail lights has gone out. It responds very well if I need it to take off, if I am in a hurry. It has seat warmers in the front.

A great car would purchase it again but they do not make it in that size anymore.
I just love my little vehicle easily to get in and out of small places. Not happy that I have to use high test gas thought. Overall it is a great vehicle. Only real problem that I have had was it got some kind of gas build in the tank and cause the car to jerk sometimes had to get that fix.

Most reliable sport utility vehicle made for any kind of driver.
I have no special features on this car, but have recommended it to every person who will listen. The car drives perfectly, except for maybe when gas is low, and it is extremely reliable even in the cold. I used this car during a recent car safety class and we practiced skidding, stopping quickly, and driving quickly on wet cement. Everything about the car was perfect, and the instructor even mentioned how much he liked cars like my tiguan.

The VW tiguan is a fun yet dependable vehicle.
Excellent vehicle. The only problem we had was with the wiring harness. It had to be replaced to fix an issue with the check engine light but we haven't had any other problems and we've owned it 6 years now. It is fun to drive and gets pretty good gas mileage.

Tiguan love - this car is incredible. Feels like a joy to be in.
I love the glass ceiling on the car. The interior is white leather and the car is bright and feels very open. The back up camera is incredible - I cannot go back to a car now without one. The only negative is the gas mileage. It is 20 miles per gallon and takes premium so it is expensive to fill up and maintain.

My tiguan is very reliable. Once it hit the five year mark though it started having more issues. I needed to coils, spark plugs, a new battery, and some other work done. The car is very comfortable, it is the perfect size SUV. The gas mileage is nice but I just wish it was a little more.

Great smaller svu, more luxury than a Honda/Toyota.
Perfect for city driving due to compact size with enough capacity for weekend getaways. Great in snow, super comfortable and had a luxury feel. Ok but not great on gas, requires premium fuel which is added expense. No major repairs in 6 years, repairs are more expensive when they do happen. Overall super happy with this vehicle.

It is a push start and key sensor car. To unlock all you have to do is go stand by the car and it'll unlock and to lock you put your finger on the handle and the keys need to be in the car for it to start.
The 2014 Tiguan is really nice for long trips. My family has a Jeep and an eos and we used to take the Jeep to Disney but when I got the Tiguan the back is spacious and comfortable that even though it's a small suv it has the luxury of space as a big suv.

Seat adjustment can be weird sometimes. Otherwise I really like it. I wish the sunroof went back further and the passenger seat didn't create another blind spot when pushed a little further back. Trunk space is pretty good. I like how easily the second row comes down so that the trunk space can be extended.

The Volkswagen tiguan is overshadowed by literally any other car out there.
The car itself gets amazing gas mileage. The interior is nice but rather uncomfortable, especially in the warmer months. Very smooth handling in all aspects. The main problem is the recurring engine light. Volkswagens have a long history of being unreliable cars. I would not get this car if I had to do it all over again. Starting the car is the most pain; it required you to rub the key back and forth on a specific spot, and can be very late to “catch” the right spot and start up the car. Overall not a good car and would not recommend it to anyone.

Easy to drive, dependable, good first car. Not stylish.
The tiguan is very easy to drive, has pretty decent gas mileage, and the speaker/audio system is very good for the type of car that it is. It has good acceleration, easy steering, good turn radius. It can be a bit jerky when stopping and starting, however. There is substantial legroom in the second row. The trunk is a little small and if it were a bit bigger, that would be nice. However, the second row of seats folds down and can be done to have extra storage.

I think that the turbo should allow for 87 octane rather than 91 or 93. Apparently later models allow for this.

The tiguan is a great car. I bought my car used with 16,000 miles on it, and over the past 4 years have driven it 100,000 miles. I have traveled all over the country with it, and overall, it has continued to be reliable and great. The car does require regular maintenance, which is costly considering it is a Volkswagen. But it has been safe and reliable (and fun!) And has certainly been worth the higher price maintenance service fees.

Great car, with one issue
This has been a reliable. I should disclose that since purchasing in 2014 I have only driven it 32,000 miles. The most difficult issue I have had is starting it, so I finally popped the button off, which makes it start better now. The button is a cheap piece of plastic.

I like that it has room for my two teenagers in the backseat. There is also plenty of room in the back to bring everything home from Costco shopping trips. The primary reason we bought it though was it's an easy height to enter and exit the vehicle after my husband's back injuries.

I really like the medium size of this car. I have the one with leather seats it is black leather and it's really nice. The safety features are pretty good. The trunk also has a cover which is removable if you like. The overall ride of the car is pretty smooth. The only thing is that my service button is always turning on and off and I have to keep bringing it into the shop. Otherwise, this is a pretty nice car for starters.

Sporty little Volkswagen vehicle.
Great performance, good gas mileage, sporty, sleek, Bluetooth is great and easy to use, has bun warmers, etc. The charger ports do not work which is weird and it seems to have issues somewhat often. Speed wise it gets going very quickly and is a very smooth drive. Lights have gone out a little earlier than I was expecting.

Perfect mid size SUV with plenty of visibility and storage.
I am a short person. I can perfectly see over the hood of the tiguan. There are no bad blind spots. There is a ton of room to fit people that are 6 foot tall plus trunk space. There is a great compartment to hold my phone. What I love the most is that the accelerator comes from the floor up, not from the top down. Being short, I can rest my ankle on the floor and use the accelerator, alleviating back pain.

I feel that my car is very reliable and comfortable. My seats are heated and remember my adjustment so it is easy if someone else drives my car. I haven't had any issues with performance. I like that I have a top of the line stereo system. My only problem is putting in premium fuel.

My Volkswagen Tiguan is white with a beige interior
I've had my car for 5 years and have loved it but recently it needs more maintenance than before. I've had to install a new thermostat and get a new battery a few times along with various electrical problems, like my gas gauge says empty even if it's full. Other than that I love the size of my car and that the sunroof panel extends the entirety of the car.

The car has a really loud engine and it does not have the greatest ac system. However it is comfortable to drive and gets good gas mileage. It also is roomy and great for transporting things. It is also a good height that you do not have to climb into, or too low to the ground that it hurts your back.

I love my 2014 VW Tiguan. It is reliable and I have had minimal problems since purchasing. The original tires lasted much longer than I should have let them. Due to it being an R Line model, it has low profile tires/rims, which don't make for the 'smoothest' or 'quietest' ride but it is definitely sporty. I have had an issue recently with my power button. I have to push in a certain place for it to work and will need to have this looked at. The Fender stereo system is very nice.

Solid vehicle that needs lots of maintenance.
Vehicle ran great but now has a bad vacuum leak and VW wants $200 just to even look at it. Solid built vehicles but takes too many specialty tools to perform any type of work yourself. Vehicle needs a lot of maintenance to keep it on the road and it eats oil but shows no signs of leaks. Vehicle features are nice and drives well.

Has Bluetooth and can take calls through the car!
It is been great so far. Small engine problems, but was able to be fixed. Pretty good on gas, and has killer ac for those hot summer nights. Comfortable to drive without feeling like a full size SUV. Seating is comfortable and the trunk space is nice. Seats lay down with helps if you need a really big trunk. Would recommend.

Volkswagen tiguan 2014 review.
The check engine light constantly comes on when there is nothing wrong with the car. The headlights are not automatic and when people borrow the car they sometimes leave the lights on all night and kill the battery. It drives nice and smooth, spacious interior, with Bluetooth audio.

How Much I Love My Comfy Tiguan
It is a high performance vehicle. I have had it for 2 years with no problems. I take it for oil changes at the scheduled 10 thousand mile mark. It super comfy with large seats and lots of legroom. The seat height is adjustable so that a really tall person such as myself is comfortable.

All wheel drive silver tiguan.
My tiguan is 4x4, and I love that is it has a sport mode so when I need it to take off it does just that, it is the perfect size, not too small and not too big. If the tire pressure is low I just take it into the dealership and they fix it up for me. It is a smooth ride all over. It is the perfect size to fit into small spaces. I think if my family grows in the future I would upgrade to a touareg, but for now I am going to stick with my tiguan. Best car I have had.

It is a fun to drive pretty car
I really love the overall look and feel of the car. The Panoramic moonroof is an awesome feature. I do wish it had better gas mileage because I am used to compact cars that get better mpg.

The best car I've had so far.
It ruins pretty well not a fast car. It holds 4 seats. It is blue. The tires are good. It has a good stereo. The car handles well in wet conditions since it is all well drive. It also handles well in the snow.

Panoramic view on the tiguan.
I am in love with my car. It drives great, is very comfortable, has an amazing panoramic view, and a lot of space. It has a rear backup camera for people who need a little bit of help parking, ac/heating, Bluetooth, and an alarm system. The only thing about my car that I wish I could change is the amount of gas that it spends, besides that I love it.

It is worth getting the turbo version for the extra power
The car has lots of pep and is a perfect size, with great storage. I don't like that it has a bad smell that comes through the air vents.

I love this car for its luxurious feeling, sound system, and moonroof!
The tiguan drives like a smaller car-easy to handle but it has great power and quick acceleration. It is comfortable to drive on long trips and gets great gas mileage. In the city, the car does not get great gas mileage. Volkswagen has excellent customer service and has taken care of any problems (flat tires, recall on a part in the steering column). The radio and moon roof are excellent features that make the car look and feel like luxury.

It is the most reliable sporty midsize SUV.
I just bought my 2014 Volkswagen tiguan! I love it because it is so spacious on the inside. It drives so smoothly and I absolutely love the sunroof that extends from the front seat to the backseat. It drives so smoothly and is the perfect size SUV, not too big, not too small. The only complaint I would have is it has costly maintenance, and it does not get the best gas mileage.

This vehicle has had no recalls.
It's amazing! It drives so smoothly I almost feel like I am floating. There is plenty of room for my husband and I along with our two children and 2 dogs. The color is exactly what I wanted and I love the fact that there is an aux input area in the center console.

The most important thing others should know is that my car lasts and experience minimal issues.
I bought my Volkswagen last year and I've only experienced one issue that was easily fixed. It's the perfect side for my growing family.

This is the best car for your money!
I love everything about the Volkswagen tiguan! I have had it for about four years and haven't had any problems with it. It is super reliable and is good on gas. The leather seats are really nice for if you have pets, because there is not far left all over the car.

I drive a four door Volkswagen tiguan. My SUV is maroon and it drives smoothly.
My Volkswagen tiguan is very spacious and the back seat can glide forwards and backwards also it folds down providing a lot of room. I have fit a dresser in the back of my car before plus tons of boxes. It is very good on gas and drives smoothly. If I want it to speed up fast it does so without yanking you and your passengers back and speeds up very quickly. It has excellent breaks and no blind spots.

Small but efficient! It really gets the job done, and done well.
So fuel efficient! With gas prices in Cali, it really helps. A good amount of trunk space with foldable seats! Seat warmers, fast AC, and a backup camera! And it can tow!
