Maneuverable, but with power.
I like the smaller size and maneuverability. I live rurally and many times need 4 wheel drive to even get out of my driveway. With this model I appreciate the dual rear door which allows me to open either the window only or the entire back door depending on my needs and the size load. I do have some difficulty with the size when passengers more around a lot as the car is not heavy enough to stay in place.

Jeep liberty older models may be old but are still functional.
Only problems is my water pump needed to be fixed. Very reliable. Comfortable. Pretty spacious for a medium sized sport utilities car. Older features, but any update will be fine. Performs well. My 2WD does good in all conditions. No engine problems, no wiring issues. Perfect car for teens. Body upholds nice. Tires are good and have good traction. Since my car sits up so high the wind tends to have an impact on the steering a little bit. Headlights are super good even at low beam.

Jeep liberty is the way to go!
This car has been through hell and back. 5-8 long distance road trips, only required maintenance on it excluding one tune up, and it runs perfectly. We've had it for 12 years and it was previously owned before that. Decent gas mileage. Love it.

They are more likely to roll, but if you are a smart and cautious driver there is not much to worry about.
My jeep liberty is tall enough but compact enough length wise that I get the enjoyment of a tall vehicle without the hassle of parking a large vehicle.

Reliable vehicle, minimal issues.
Some issues; water pump, window motor, and brake lines replaced, but a very used car. Extremely reliable; I drive to and from school, 1 hour both ways, at least once a week. Have had the vehicle 2 years and had many previous owners. I consider this vehicle to be extremely comfortable and roomy.

My Jeep is dependable and will get me through any kind of weather or terrain.
No complaints, except maybe gas mileage! My Jeep is cute, sporty, has lots of room for passengers and luggage and is great in the snow. She is trail rated, so if I should choose to go off roading, I could.

Never again will I buy another Jeep.
I love my car but will never purchase another Jeep. From the start there have been recall after recall. One recall was for new window motors however they changed the motor size which meant that I had to buy new windows for my car that fit the new motor. Recalled for axle issue as well as a recall because if I am rear ended the car might blow up b/c of where the gas tank is located - their solution to this - add a hitch to my car - which cannot tow anything. Also I live in a big city so trying to parallel park with a hitch on the back of my car - no thank you. There is a ghost in the machine so to speak meaning that the abs/esp lights are constantly on - even after spending hundreds of dollars trying to fix that issues. Now the front driver side window is acting up.

It's reliable and trouble-free.
I like that's it's been a reliable and safe vehicle for 12 years. Basic maintenance, few problems. I'd prefer a little better gas mileage but it isn't awful. Could be a little more comfortable, seat-wise. Great for hauling things like small furniture.

Attractive, comfortable, and spacious enough for nearly any job
The Jeep Liberty Renegade has been our reliable car since 2006, and it is still going strong in 2019! It looks nice, it's spacious inside (fits 4 adults comfortably, or 5 almost comfortably.) I've been in it for several long drives, and I've never felt cramped in there. My favorite part is that the back has ample storage space. I can do huge stock up grocery trips and all that food fits back there! Or I can fold down the rear seat and fit larger items, such as small furniture, a ladder, or long items like ladders or rugs. My only complaints about my Jeep Liberty are the gas tank recall (which they fixed by putting a trailer hitch on the Jeep), the motors in the windows failing (we had to replace all four window motors), and some faulty sensors (which caused one tire to go flat constantly in cold weather). But aside from these minor problems, I have been quite happy with my purchase, and I hope to get many more years out of my Jeep Liberty.

Great vehicle, just old age issues.
We love our vehicle, but wish it wasn't as old as it is. The only things wrong with it are issues like it leaks oil, the airbag light goes on, needs new tires, etc. I believe all the issues are because of old age not because of the make and model. Would definitely buy this car again, it is the perfect size for our family and the 4 wheel drive is necessary in the winter months.

One of the best vehicles I've ever owned. Get regular recall updates when needed but those are few and far. Jeep dealers are always easy to deal with.

Great vehicle overall w/ slight interior issue
I love my Jeep Liberty. I have had it for about 9 years now & it has had very few problems. I do regularly take it to the Jeep shop to get oil changes & get it checked on. It drives very well in harsh weather & in situations where I was forced to drive in off-road situations. My only issue with it is that the inside interior seems to have been made with cheap materials & it falls apart. The plastic that makes the inside of the doors & other parts of the car does not hold together well. But all-in-all I love my car & it has always performed well for me.

It is lasted me 12+ years and with any luck it will last another 5+. Solid built vehicle, great on gas and handles well in the snow with the 4 wheel drive.

It gets a little bumpy. It is kind of small so not a lot of legroom.
I like the way the exterior looks. I like sitting up higher in the SUV. I like the way the back trunk opens. I like the sun roof. It's fun to drive. It's too small. There is not enough storage. There are no "bells and whistles" such as seat warmers, Bluetooth, navi system, backup camera, etc.

Jeep liberty takes me wherever I want to go in any type of weather.
My jeep liberty is so easy to drive and handles extremely well in any type of weather. I have had problems with the electrical system, one thing at a time. Blinker goes out, brake light goes out, and it is been a continuous problem since I bought the vehicle. It has a panel for backseat riders so the can adjust their own windows and multiple cup holders.

The Jeep Liberty is my favorite due to comfort, space and appearance.
I bought my white 2006 Jeep Liberty Sport used for 2500$. I had to do some work on the tires and brake system but other than that, I have loved it. I'm a huge fan of Jeeps in general and the Jeep Liberty holds a special place in my heart. I like the comfort it provides, along with lots of room and storage space for road trips. The Jeep Liberty is a cute, fun, reliable vehicle that will not let you down!
I love my Jeep Liberty because it is compact, cute, and fun! It has plenty of space in the back to accommodate small loads of groceries all the way up to a weekend away at the beach with the kids. It has 4-wheel drive, which has been wonderful for projects in the muddy yard, and enough power to tow a trailer. The gas mileage is decent, so no complaints there. It has great visibility all the way around, which is important to me. It is easy to get in and out of and provides a comfy ride. It is basic and reliable. I've owned it for 12 years and it's been good to me!
accountCircle Janet T on January 6, 2021
The low miles per gallon and whenever getting gas, the gauge doesn't kick off soon enough and most always overflows and spills out some. If using a full service station, I have to remember to tell attendant NOT to attempt topping off the tank and mindful of when it kicks off!
It's a nice size SUV. The 4 wheel drive features are easy to use and great in snow, mud, gravel and on difficult or steep grades. So far, no major issues with it other than normal maintenance. Only downside is the gas mileage, 16-17 mpg in town/ 18-20 hwy.

Love my Jeep. It's our fifth Jeep. Had them more than 20 years. Very low maintenance. Gas mileage is very good. Only major thing I would change is the upholstery. It stained very badly even with water. We couldn't clean it and had to use seat covers very early.

I love my Jeep and I love Jeep products. I rated my 2006 Jeep liberty a 3 only because I have had the Jeep since 2011 and it is now 2018. I have put quite a few miles on it in the last 7 years. I have had no major issues with this car. Just routine maintenance, breaks, oil changes etc. Overall it has been a great car, I just know that it is heading towards the bigger problems such as transmission problems. A that point it would be more expensive to fix than what the car is worth now.

Seats fold down for extra large things you need to carry and good gas mileage
My Jeep is very reliable, but uncomfortable to ride in. Always starts up and gets you where you need to go. It's very trustworthy on the highway. I have not had to do any work on it and it's good on gas mileage you can carry extra stuff in it cause the back seat folds down.

I love my 4x4 SUV!!
I got ‘Jeepers’ in spring of ‘17 with 120,000 plus miles on her from a family that bought her brand new. They kept Up on all the maintenance, as have I. I’d never driven a Jeep before but fell in love quickly. The problems I’ve had are known. The back windows both motors broke, my husband installed wood so they won’t roll down anymore. Front driver side motor also broke but had that fixed, just under $400! The rear windshield wiper flew off and they no longer make the correct one for this model. Bought closest one and tied on with wire, fixed it! However the worst happened last winter when putting it in 4WD, BANG! She’s in shop now having a used Transfer Case put on as well as the right front wheel bearing thatwent out. So, $1600 later I’m still happy. I’ll have a 4WD SUV That still runs excellent.

I like the roof racks that you can put cross bars on or off to make it custom to your lifestyle. I also like the compact design of the SUV but how it does not feel small inside the car. I also like the large gas tank and mpg this car has. I dislike the issues this car has with overflow on the gas tank but that could be a personal issue with this car.

It's a very old car and there's many problems with it
I've had many problems for the past couple of years now. Last year we had to spend over $1000 to get everything fixed including my breaks. A couple of months ago my car broke down and we had to spend another $1200 to get that fix

It is easy to handle on road.
Reliable transportation, easy to maintain. Rides like a truck. Can maneuver easy. Gas mileage is ok. Great car.

Jeep liberty, the tank that falls apart.
Window motors break causing the windows to fall into the door which happened twice in a year. The sunroof has stopped working and the drain gets clogged leaving the water to flood the inside of the car. The gas mileage is horrible, in the city it can be as low as 14 to 15 miles per gallon, on the highway the highest is about 20.

It is a reliable vehicle, it starts up every time, and runs strong.
I enjoy the size of the vehicle, and the fact that it rides higher than a standard car, but I am used to driving a van, and find that I miss the ability to haul materials as easily as I am used to doing.

2006 Jeep liberty renegade.
My 2006 Jeep liberty renegade is a great car. It was the first car I bought and is very reliable. My Jeep has never left me stranded or broken down on me, even with over 190,000 miles. While this is true it does have a lot of quirks. Such as a broken windshield, a missing fog headlight and a fidgety turn signal. All of these are my doing and have no effect on the overall performance of the Jeep liberty.

Blind spots, difficult to see behind you.
I love my Jeep. It is comfortable, reliable and the 4WD is great for winters in Iowa. The only issue I have with it is that it is hard to see when I am backing up. The spare tire blocks the lower portion and the window frame blocks the peripherals. Luckily the car is short enough that it is not a big deal to use the side windows instead of the back.

With a jeep you can drive them for almost forever and almost anywhere.
Vehicle has over a hundred and forty thousand miles and yet drives like a champ. I can go anywhere I want at any time and not worry about it breaking down. You cannot say that about many cars. It has a steel body rather than a plastic body so I feel so much safer in it, if something were to happen and I were to be in an accident. I know I can put my grandchildren in there and they are also safer.

Great for everyday and those off-roading days.
I love my liberty. There are issues with the motors for windows. It's hard to work on simple areas. Fuel filter and other areas. There have been some issues with it getting older. But it does awesome in the snow, rock climbing, off-roading, caring camping gear and much more.

The size of this car is perfect. Sturdy, but not big enough to cause problems!
My car is pretty compact but FEELS spacious- with the seats down in the back, I have enough space to take it camping, road tripping, and anything else I might need to pack heavy for. It's also big enough so that 2-3 people can sleep in the back, so camping trips and/or rest-stop naps are super easy. It handles great, and in 13 years really the only thing I've done is replace the cooling belt and tires, on top of regular maintenance. It doesn't do great on gas mileage in the city, but besides that I have no complaints. It's a sturdy thing that can take a lot!
