Models also known as Trim Levels, are used to identify a vehicle's level of equipment or special features.
Pro- Great for off roading and camping/other outdoor activities. It's very comfortable to travel in. Con- The gas mileage on it is expensive. I've had it for about one year and there's many problems that have been recurring with the battery.
Size, luxury options, 3rd row seat, 4x4, backup camera, heated seats, sunroof, hands-free set up for cellphone, large cargo area, roomy back seat, leather, economical compared to other SUVs, reliable, safe, Toyota is reputable in my opinion.
Extremely off road capable. You can modify and add a lot of aftermarket stuff because people are into accessorizing this vehicle very similar to Jeep. There is a big cult following so you can find social media groups for 4runner owners. Can transport a lot. Reliable because a lot of them are being sold at a great price being older and with a lot of miles, so you know they will run forever. Comfortable. Can tow up to 3500 lbs which is nice for small trailers.
The 2015 Toyota 4runner is extremely roomy, my kids plus friends have room to travel comfortably. The leather feature with heated seats during the winter is amazing! Driving for pleasure or work is always joy.
Great quality. Mid range gas mileage. Smooth ride. Comfortable ride. Nice sound quality. Plug in middle console and also in trunk. Aux hook up. 6 disc changer. Buttons on steering wheel. Automatic seat adjustments.
It is a solid car, very stable on the road, and is great for off roading on rocks, snow or sand. It is reliable and has a beautiful interior and exterior, back window opens, great sound, has his built into it and satellite radio.
The Toyota 4runner is a magnificent specimen of a vehicle with great handling and easy to use 4 wheel drive. It can navigate any terrain and is great as a sports utility vehicle or just a common recreational vehicle. The gas mileage is fair enough and there are no defects that cause persistent leakages or the such. The back canopy is easily detachable, making the vehicle almost a jeep like quality for recreational use. The transmission did start to go out on my previous 4runner, but this only happened after 10 years of rugged outdoor use.
Leather seats, sunroof, smooth driving, better gas mileage than older models, entry into front door without hitting unlock if key fob is near, back window can roll down without the vehicle on, wide running boards, touchscreen media.
The cons of my vehicle are that the gas mileage on it is very expensive. I love my Toyota 4Runner but it can be very high maintenance. The battery on it is weak I my opinion. I wish it would have ran longer.
None really. I picked this vehicle because it met all the things that I was looking for in a vehicle and it met all my needs. I have two kids, and I wanted to have enough room for them and friends if needed.
Would like a great towing capacity. Would enjoy being able to take top and doors off like Jeeps. I wish they came with a cooler sport package because I would like to have blacked out emblems, rims and mud tires on it. The interior is a little plain and in the older models they used a really cheap looking dashboard materials that scratches easily. I have the 2015 so there are no automatic lights, so you have to flip them on at night and I am used to the auto lights. This model I have has no lane assist and blind spot detection. It is such a smooth ride that before you know it, you are speeding. I wish there was a speeding alert.
Cons-. 1. Not a four wheel drive. 2. Cost of a brand new 4 runner can be pricey. 3. There really is not any cons I have found with my personal 4runner in the past five years. I will purchase another when the time arises.
I'd say the mid range gas mileage. Cloth seats are not the easiest to keep clean. Difficult to put back seats down and sometimes the seatbelts lock up. The trunk does not have any kind of organizer, just a large space.
Sometimes when I load very large items in the truck, I am obligated to leave the trunk door open, and with that, the car keeps beeping non stop when driving and I didn't find a way to let the car know that I am aware that my trunk is open.
The transmission eventually went out after 10 years of rugged use. The back canopy is detachable, but my own model must be manually detached and removed, which can be problematic when trying it alone.
Roof rack does not have bars that run across the vehicle for tying down things such as kayaks, 18-20 mpg, oil changes last longer but requires more expensive oil, no third row option with the slide out trunk.
The 2015 Toyota 4Runner has an average owner rating of 4.71 out of 5 which ranks it #2 of 20 other Midsize SUVs.
