The one thing is that I have no problems mechanically and never had,
My Solara is comfortable. It is very reliable. It is good on gas. It has a roomy interior. The Solara's trunk is huge, it has a comfortable smooth drive. I have no complaints at all.

My vehicle is black. It is very reliable. My vehicle is 12 years old.

It is small but it is good on gas
I love the style, and the color however it is a two door so every time we have a passenger it is hard for them to get in and out of the back door

It's very functional and easy to maneuver.
The car is still in great shape and works like a pro. While it is small and seating may feel cramped at times, it's very functional. Parking is also easier to find since it's a small car. The roof opens up which is awesome in the summers. I do wish that the ability to recline seats would be a better option.

It does not look as old as it is.
I love it because it is very comfortable. I like a two-door car which it is. It gets fairly good mileage.

It's really best for a single adult with no children.
I love that my car is fast and fun, and that it is 12 years old with a 150,000 miles and has given me no problems.

The Solara: Sporty look with Camry reliability
I purchased my 2006 Solara 2 years ago with only 42,000 miles on it. Quiet ride, interior space of a regular sedan (but with only 2 doors). It had only a CD player and no AUX in cord, so I had a Bluetooth installed to play music from my phone. Engine doesn't feel super sporty. Seats are not very comfortable. There is an electric back support adjuster on the driver's side, but it's too high up for my 5'4' frame. Besides replacing the car battery, it's had no major problems so far. Sometimes there is a slight lag in acceleration after an idle at a light. That said, this is NOT a sports car - it runs like the 'Camry Solara' sedan it is. I purchased it because I wanted the reliability of the Camry engine (which it has), with a bit of a sleeker look - which I'm thoroughly pleased with! I still admire the looks of the car - it seemed a bit ahead of its time in design. For me, the reliability and looks of the car outweighed any negatives. I'm going to keep this one for as long as I can!

Mom's SUV can be fun to drive.
I prefer an SUV. Cars are low to the ground. I like that it has 4 doors, good on gas, reliable, has backup camera.

Heated seats! And great sound system, also a sunroof!
My vehicle has heated seats which I love during the winter time. The car also has a great sound system that I enjoy having. However my transmission is starting to slip so sometimes it does not drive that great, also the car windows are not sealed correctly so water gets in a little bit but not too bad.

It is bad. A lot. More than you could guess.
It is had a lot of problems with the axel and the starter as of recent. I have had to take it to the mechanic and all of the problems that it has are the most expensive ones. Also, the gas gauge is not true to what it says. It says I have 50 miles left in the tank and it will die on me.

A very nice ride for the money!
I bought it used in may '18. It is a very solid vehicle. The convertible top is automatic and very easy to put up and down. The trunk space is quite generous for a convertible. There is also plenty of passenger space in the back seat. I love my car! The pearl white paint is beautiful next to the tan rag top.

A fun, reliable, and dependable convertible!
Very easy car to drive. Handles well for an everyday car and has been very reliable & dependable. Is a convertible, stays warm in the winter. There is no noise from it being a convertible. Is a lot of fun to drive with the top down. Very glad I purchased the vehicle, plan on keeping it for a long time.

Reliable and mechanically sound.
Fun to drive, peppy, enjoy convertible top, not too expensive to insure or maintain, reliable mechanic close by, girls like to ride and be seen in it, worst thing is rear head restraints block too much of small rear window--the reason why I rated a 4 instead of a 5.

That it comes with problems with the interior pressure gauges.
I love my car. Everything about it is what I was looking for. The only thing I would like is it to be a four door.

Fuel efficiency! I love that my car is not extremely expensive to drive, especially with rising gas prices.
I find my car to be decently fuel efficient, but it is small and seems to break a lot. It is perfect for me who is short, but my significant other (who is 6'2") barely fits. My car has needed two seperate $600 repairs in the last three months which has been very trying on my bank account.
accountCircle Arinne S on June 2, 2020
The car was used when I purchased it and so it has some issues. Currently, it has been overheating a lot.
I absolutely love the convertible top, that is my favorite thing about my car. I also like that its a v6 so it goes pretty fast and the gas mileage is pretty good. The only thing I dislike is that she's getting old and malfunctioning recently.

Great car reliable
I have to say Toyota hands-down build a car that's very reliable I've never breaks down the only problem I have ever had was a battery alternator belt basic over 200,000 miles my car has 280000 miles it has a 2.4 VVT I change the oil every 3500 miles with high mileage synthetic oil the car does not leak any well it does not use any oil and I'm getting the 33 miles to the gallon the car runs perfect no issues ice cold I have to say I don't believe there's any other car on the market that runs like a Toyota it will last as long I've seen a lot of American cars break down over a hundred thousand miles. At junkyard so at this point I will stick with Toyota all the way through

The Solara is a reliable and sporty vehicle.
2 doors can be a challenge but it's a very reliable and durable car. Great gas mileage! There is more trunk space that meets the eye so packing for trips is actually quite easy. The sunroof is a great add on and certainly adds to the sporty feel of the car. Some minor issues with the dashboard quality. This car is also easy to work on so it can be taken to a variety of shops.
accountCircle Cory M on May 7, 2020
It is very reliable and requires little more than preventative maintenance.
The Solara rides nicely and quietly. The only issue I've had beyond basic maintenance is having to replace the water pump recently. It is spacious with a large trunk. The only negative is that the passenger seat does not return to its previous position when moved forward to let someone out of the backseat. It goes to a very upright position uncomfortably close to the dashboard.

Toyota Camry Solara best car I've ever owned. Comfy convertible, looks nice
Convertible Camry by far the best car I've ever owned . 2006 bought used in 2016, never had a problem, mechanically or otherwise. Comfortable and nice, I would buy another if necessary. Streamlined, attractive smooth on side streets and highways. Gets around great in the snow and heavy enough to control on icy streets.

2006 Toyota convertible. Unique blue taupe top, interior, out of production.
My retirement car. It is a beautiful blue with taupe convertible top. On the road, still gets 28 to 30 mpg. Ride is quiet and smooth. It now has about 111, 300 miles. Will need cosmetic work next year, new top, paint job and trim. Mechanically I have taken care of it, and they no longer mfg. It.

My 2006 Toyota Solara Coupe is a very dependable car and was built really well.
I like my 2006 Toyota Solara Coupe because it drives fast, has a sunroof and is a very dependable car. The two things that I dislike are I don't like that it's a two door and it makes it harder on me to get my kids in and out of the car. I also dislike that my car wasn't built with a backup camera.

Poor service at Toyota service shop.
I love my Toyota, however when I have a problem with my car I feel like I am wasting money for my services. As a woman I feel like I get taken advantage of when dealing with Toyota service mechanics. The last time I got my car fixed it broke down on me after two days. I ended up financing for a new Toyota car and never got the money back from the previous car that broke down.

My vehicle performs well and has some good features like the sun roof.
My vehicle performs well. It performs well. I love the sun roof! The only problem I have found is when needing to do repairs it can be difficult to find the parts or they are too expensive. Otherwise I have found I like the turn radius and features like cruise control and buttons on the steering wheel to control the stereo system. I wish there was more than one way to get into the trunk other than just by the key.

My highlights of the Toyota solara.
I love my car because of speed performance. If you keep up with the maintenance, this car is extremely reliable in all seasons. The computers work great at alerting when tire pressure is low, oil changes, an any engine problems. It has an alarm system, child locks, air bags, cruise control, place to put glasses, 2 compart middle piece, lock glove compartment, door lock when car is in movement, and stylish (sporty look).

My 2006 Toyota Red Solara
One problem for me is that there is not a key entry on the passenger side. The engine is solid and runs well. The inside is good for 4 people comfort wise. Tilt wheel is nice and pulls and pushes for adjustable comfort. It comes with a standard cassette and CD player that will load 5 CD's. The moonroof is nice for hot days. It is comfortable for long trips. It passes smog every time with no problems. Tune up are real pricey and run about $400 - 500 dollars. I have had this car for 4 years with no real problems. It is a good car for my wife to drive. The gas mileage is not bad and get about 27 mile to the gallon.

Very reliable, do not like that it's a coupe, I like 4 doors vehicles better. I personally think that it is too large and the interior is not the most comfortable. The wheels, always seem to be an issue. As far as the motor goes it seems to be working just fine even with high miles on it.

I love my car because it is good mileage for gas, plenty of sitting room, no blind spots, very comfortable to sit and drive, the car I have the prior owner put something to make it very low to the ground, special shading on the from window that give me issue to pass inspection
